As a resident of Moscow, I can recommend all tourists to get off at any station of the ring metro line and just walk towards the center, you will definitely find something to your liking. I would also add to this list the Paleontological Museum, the Cosmonautics Museum, the pavilions of the former republics of the Soviet Union at VDNH, the House of Music, the Moscow Conservatory for classical music lovers, as well as the Zaryadye Park

@@anfala5141late october - no. There is no snow yet at that time. Ski resorts open in december. However there are no mountains near moscow so that i would not call it « ski resort » :-)) just some kind of. With short tracks and low heights
@@anfala5141in st. Petersburg there is « divo ostrov » where you can find some extreme entertainments. In moscow there is « the island of dream ». But the best one imho is in Adler, Sochi.

And I even envy everyone who comes here for the first time) Moscow is so great and multifaceted - everything in it can be found and rediscovered again and again! My husband and I recently really wanted to change the situation, but we didn't want to go far, so we chose the Royal Zenith Hotel and paid off. The hotel is located in the protected area of Serebryany Bor, surrounded by pine trees and a beautiful view of the river. I was very pleased with the Spa complex on the territory of the hotel - after a working week, what you need. Friendly staff, delicious cuisine - we recommend!

Just wanted to ask, is it possible and safe to visit Russia as a westerner that knows Russian? Or is it better to wait?
I have been over a few times, and I only know travel phrases. I always found Russians very good at separating people and politics. In short, if you go as a respectful visitor, you will have a good time.

I’m sorry for all the innocent people who died in Ukraine but despite Western propaganda, the Russian military is going out of its way to conduct the war as humanely as possible. Official UN stats show 9000 civilians dead from Feb 2022 to Jun 2023 and over 350,000 (!!!) soldiers dead on both sides.. compare that ratio to 280-320 thousand civilians dead in Iraq and only 4500 US soldiers.. Americans entered by bombing the crap out of Baghdad, bullying a weak nation. Throughout the entire war only 65 thousand artillery shells have been fired.. while Russia is firing 40-50 thousand shells A DAY, and yet the civilian casualties are so low.
