You wont find much of Viking heritage, however the climate is indeed suitable for raving Nordic madmen, it's expensive to people not earning Scandinavian level wages and you'll probably not be able to catch a glimpse of Carl XVI or anyone else belonging to the royal family. At best, you'll get to see a moose. However, there is actually one aspect of Sweden everyone outside the Nordic countries ought to experience at least once in their lifetime; a well functioning society. Yes, there's crime in Sweden (and many other problems too), but I feel confident in saying Sweden is paradise on earth as long as you can stand the cosy winter traditions like Lucia and saffransbullar, nice Volvos and boring politicians.
