未来観ではなくエッグヘッドの技術力は過去に作られたものだと判明しているのでこのソング自体が伏線張ってるのかも知れませんね

The fact that Oda could plan *so* far ahead is actually insane. I'm sure he didn't have the fine details down at the time, but it's insane to think Vegapunk was first mentioned *hundreds* of chapters ago and he just recently got introduced.

Using 1000 odd chapters to plan is a lot more than most writers do, though. More often than not, they're brought up, at most maybe an arc before they're introduced.
Iirc, Vegapunk was revealed to be a brilliant scientist that was experimenting on devil fruits way back in Enies Lobby. 600+ chapters ago.

He had a plan for this last chapter when he started to publish this manga. It just takes about 25+ years to get here.. The original story of One Piece was to gather a crew and to fight against four emperors, then for Luffy to find the one piece.
During this plot, the concept of seven warlords popped up, also vivi was changed to the princess.. Those kind of things made the story very long.

Easily the best post-timeskip arc. The pacing is perfect, is two different arcs in one that blend together almost semlessly and perfectly, a huge variety in its cast due to the various plotlines and insane lore drops
frfr i agree so hard i still think wano is better personally because of the oden flashback (one of the best moments in one piece) and gear 5 (best moment in one piece) but egghead is a very close second though i would think wano is the best if it was paced better
I don't think it's right to call Egghead post-timeskip. The timeskip happend a long while ago, so any arc after Wano can be considered "Post-Wano".

最初はどうなるか心配だったけど、これは１０６巻のmvらしさがしっかり出てる。
未来のテクノロジーなのに過去をみる物語を子ども心に伝えてくれる曲だと思う。
ワンピ見始めてまだ魚人島編だけどとりあえず今やってる未来島編が他のシリーズより重めで闇深でヤバいってのはよく分かった。

Now that Wano is finally coming to a close in the anime, Egghead is right around the corner. I actually kinda hope that the new intro uses this song or one similar to it, it's super unique from the others and just really fits for the futuristic island
