  • I install the Autobeam Performance Footwell LED units AND LED 501 Mini Glove Box unit in my Ford Focus RS!
    12% off any order over £20 at autobeam.co.uk with code ADAM12
    The Autobeam Performance Footwell LED units are the perfect, easy upgrade for the interior of the MK3 Focus RS! The new units are identical in size and shape to the stock units - which are actually LED themselves - but with some key upgrades. The new Autobeam version has two LEDs as opposed to just one and then also each LED is much larger than the stock single LED. This simply translates into a significant increase in brightness and colour output, giving a much higher degree of 'ambience' in the car. This is now noticeable at any time of day but especially, of course, at night when the units remain on all the time and it is dark - it is a bit like driving an alien spaceship!
    The stock housings are removed easily, the stock units removed easily and the new Autobeam footwell units installed easily. You will see all of this in the video and it displays a high level of operational performance, brightness and plug and play convenience.
    The stock footwell units in the MK3 Ford Focus RS are red. This is certainly cool and you can indeed get the Autobeam units in red to do a direct upgrade. You can, however, get the Autobeam units in an array of different colors ranging from simple white to pink - and any more! I chose the almost neon green for my RS as I love the contrast with the other colours I have going on, mainly red and blue, and I wanted some person flare to give a more custom feel. I certainly think that I have achieved this and I am sure you will agree!
    The Autobeam LED 501 mini glove unit is the perfect size and shape to fit into the stock housing. The stock bulb is OK but looks very orange to my eyes so I went with this unit is pure white colour!
    Autobeam have done the work to make sure the color temp is just right and the brightness is just right while providing this new unit also in multiple colours to suit your specific taste!
    As the units require no additional resistors or parts - everything is built into each unit to make them completely plug and play, changing from the old bulbs to the Autobeam LED versions, gives an extra modern, stylish look to the interior of the MK3 Focus RS (and other models!) in a very short amount of time and by providing multiple colors, you can really put your personal stamp on your car!
    In this video, I show you how to install each of the different bulbs in each location, in the glove box and driver/passenger front footwells, as well as giving an overview of the differences in the new LED lights vs the original designs and finally showing the new units in action in my MK3 Ford Focus RS!
    Autobeam says about the footwell units:

    Autobeam says about the LED 501 mini glove box units:

      Hi iv been looking for these but can only see them with pins in the middle. But they need to be on ro the side. So would be out of line. Is thus what you mean by having to bend them slightly. Thanks

    I have bought so many lighting upgrades from Autobeam (Thanks for the code btw) but have been delaying installing them as my car is going in for paint repair after it got damaged by glass. Looking forward to fitting them all soon.

    This is what I've been looking for. Will definitely grab some for the footwell once the colour I want comes back in stock. Hopefully autobeam can work on some dome light replacements as well as I can't stand the basic yellow colour as it makes the car look so cheap.

      I got some of the footwell leds and although they are bright in the video , they are not much better than standard in real life . Buy a set and see for yourself .

    Hey there sir I just found your channel man and I’m liking the content your putting out so far. My question to you is what is your goal for the car? Are you just modding it just to mod it? Or are you building a street/semi track car? If you can answer that would be cool if not I guess I’m just along for the ride Hahahaha. Take care man

    • @AdamRainey
      @AdamRainey  Před 3 lety

      Hello, the answer would be closer to the half street half track car. Essentially building a car that can slay on track and destroy most people at traffic lights while also retaining drivability and practicality as a daily driver. Cheers :)

    How do we replace the cupholders and the lights on the door to match?

  • @ManilvaRS

    Tried to install mine today. Nightmare with my 6ft 2 frame. I can’t seem to line the pins up again with the connector. I tested it without the frame and works fine but then noticed 15mimd later when I came to the car they hadn’t gone off. Which is odd.

  • @Karlt2010
    @Karlt2010 Před 3 lety

    Hi Adam .
    I ordered the led bulb for the glovebox and it isnt the right one . The leds should not be forward firing , the leds should be along the side . Plugged mine in tonight and there is only a small amount of light that comes through the square hole in the glovebox . So light should come through the side of the led and not the end .

    • @Karlt2010
      @Karlt2010 Před 3 lety

      Just been in touch with Autobeam who tell me they are aware of the glovebox led bulb they sell only emitting light from the end of the bulb which does not throw hardly any light into the glovebox . The led needs to have side firing leds to work properly .
