About 'Rebel Moon'
From Zack Snyder, the filmmaker behind 300, Man of Steel, and Army of the Dead, comes REBEL MOON, an epic science-fantasy event decades in the making. When a peaceful colony on the edge of a galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of a tyrannical ruling force, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among the villagers, becomes their best hope for survival. Tasked with finding trained fighters who will unite with her in making an impossible stand against the Mother World, Kora assembles a small band of warriors -- outsiders, insurgents, peasants and orphans of war from different worlds who share a common need for redemption and revenge. As the shadow of an entire Realm bears down on the unlikeliest of moons, a battle over the fate of a galaxy is waged, and in the process, a new army of heroes is formed.

I haven’t been this excited for a Sci-Film since “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”… hopefully this delivers better, but my hype is on that level. I love “Seven Samurai” and Science Fiction. I also love Snyder’s vision.
Gotta give Snyder credit, even if I don't love all the movies he's made, he has a very defined style and it is instantly recognizable with a lot of thought put into all the details. It's also obvious how passionate and fun-loving he is about these movies. I'm looking forward to Rebel Moon!

What a fantastic director! I went from hater his work in due to being alienated to being a fervent fan. This man has a unique view of the world and entering his mind to decipher his influences opened my mind to art, politic, music and critical thinking. Don't pay attention to what some critics say, see, feel, try it... Snyder has a unique vision and once you understand it there's no turning back.

I’m excited to see Rebel Moon. Snyder is one of the best in the world at making movies. His DC trilogy was epic, his zombie movies are innovative and the worlds he create are always incredibly unique.
Don't forget 300 is one of the most innovative films ever made.
what’s innovative about his zombie movies? Dawn of the dead was literally a remake 😅 (much worse than the original).
And DC had epicness with Donner and Nolan.

Movies are a dying industry compared to streaming services. I can't remember the last time I went to the movies, or paid to watch a movie at all (thanks to the bay!). But I've got Netflix, and will watch movies there from time to time.
Can't wait to see this in theaters on the 15th and on Saturday, the 17th 💯.
This man will go down in history as the Sergio Leone of comicbook movies.
This movie and his previous film weren't adapted from comic books. He seems kind of over that and wants to make movies that aren't based on something that already exists. Sergio Leone is an interesting comparison though, I can't really think of another director of comic book films that would fit that comparison better.

Zack, we have not given up hope for JL2/3, Affleck’s Batman movie, and the Ayer Cut. The fans demand the story be completed, we are all rooting for you to get that chance.

The Ayer Cut, I think, has a chance in a few years. But everything else has zero chance. Also, not all fans want the same thing, and they are certainly not all rooting for him to return to DC. He’s moved on to other things, and I’m happy for him. Frankly, remaining stuck on what will never happen instead of rejoicing and congratulating him on what he is currently doing is kinda disrespectful to him and where he is in his career.

Fantastic Director, best Visual Style just now by far. He should have been allowed to finish his DC Movies as it was the best we have seen to date and the Superman arc I was really interested in plus Darkseid etc.

Without Zack Snyder and his editorial team. I'm living a very different life that is for sure. my love for his films got me into hollywood working in post production. There is not enogh thank yous in the world to inspire me to dream big. Legit changened my life forever! I can't wait to watch Rebel Moon in theatres but I really want to see the R rated verison in IMAX!!! Come on NETFLIX makes it so!!!!!

I could listen to this man explain movies all day
Zack does make an interesting point with the difference between Theatrical, DVD and streaming film versions. With theatrical, he was limited on what he could put into the movie. But when the movie goes to dvd, he is allowed to make HIS version of the movie and release footage that wasn't on the theatrical cut. But with streaming, he was allowed so much freedom. I heard on Netflix, the famous directors have more freedom in creating whatever movie they want and no need to hold back. It makes you wish more Hollywood Studios would do that.
it will be interesting to explore this universe and compare both cuts when all is said and done

As a Zack Snyder fan he's a great visionary even though most of his films aren't everyone's cup of tea but I love how he directs he's a league of his own when it comes to sci-fi and I'm so glad Disney turned him down as he wanted his movie set in the Star Wars universe but his methods and strorytelling won't be Disney's brand of being family friendly

Everyone else is making compromised movies that pander to an audience, try to create an endless franchise, or try to serve some kind of larger cause. Zack is the only director out there who is making movies as pure filmmaking just for the sake of entertaining people with no other agendas at stake.

@@Slask7 it’s not how that works. Justice League set a high standard for ALL upcoming DC films. Something Gunn will have to compete with. His DC slate looks wack already, we’ll see. If it fails they’ll be forced to complete Snyder’s films.

I think I like Snyder the man more than his films. Truth be told I haven't really liked Snyder's work since Man of Steel, but Watchmen is still one of my favs. Rebel Moon looks like an amalgamation of a bunch of different films I've seen before so I'm not super pumped for it, but the trailers do look good. I always end up watching Snyder's films at some point because I really love his visual style and at the very least I get to see really cool shots and beautiful cinematography. Just hope the story is great.
