  • Like a virus, unwanted behaviors seem to creep up with little notice, and then stay, well, forever...
    Why? How do they start?
    How can behaviors be eliminated entirely?
    We've been working with an ABA (Applied Behavior Analyst) therapist quite a bit over the past few months as we work diligently to eliminate many of our son's unwanted behavior issues.
    As a result, some of the most severe - hitting, biting, scratching, kicking type of temper tantrums have been mostly eliminated!
    Our ABA Therapist (with the direction of his BCBA - Board Certified Behavior Analyst) has completed changed the course of our family's lives!
    Like everything we do, I wanted to share what's worked for our son in the hopes that other families can benefit, and some of their children's behavior issues can be eliminated!

    In our first video, we discussed the ABC's of behavior;
    Antecedent
    Behavior
    Consequence
    We broke down what each of these means and began working toward the next step, changing behaviors away from the unwanted, to the preferred.
