- Today we had the opportunity to clear some more nasty and invasive blackberries. After several years of rapid and wild growth, the blackberries finally got a sitdown and were mulched down. Taking our Stihl FS-240 we cleared up all of this growth and relieved the area so that native plants can get back to work and creating the beautiful evergreen forests.
Remember, when it's overgrown it's a lot harder to deal with! It's always best to do things when you notice them or they just begin. Like anything in life, fast action always deters bigger problems.

You AMAZE me!!!
I appreciate your comment!😁👍
Yo you a beast with that thing dammm
Je vidět, že už v tom máte praxi a jde vám to velmi dobře i když je to asi obtížné na fyzickou kondici. Určitě dávám palec nahoru a jsem ráda, že vás opět vidím !💯👍👍💯
Dělám to už nějakou dobu. Baví mě čistit nemovitosti a pokud mi CZcams dá trochu více příjmů, udělal bych to i zdarma.😅😁👍
Možná když tu budete častěji, tak uživatelé si vás budou přidávat víc do sledování a pak se možná ta situace zlepší. Moc bych vám to přála 👍👏🌿
@@janababuljakova2534 Pokusím se vydat více videí. Někdy je práce moc zaneprázdněná a já nedokážu všechno vybalancovat.
😎😎
😁👍
Geezzz David! Now I’m going to search how blackberry farmers manage to contain this invasive creature. 😅
I’m not sure how they do it either, but I know there are a few variations of the blackberries and the one we have in our area turns out to be one of the most lethal.
@@golovinpropertyservices, you’re right! I checked a few videos and the plant’s roots don’t look as though they spread. All in line like soldiers and individually cared and trimmed/pruned. Nurseries sell us the mutants! 🤣🤣
@@linato1855 That makes sense. I’ve actually came across a tree in the Caucasus called a Malberry tree, they have berries that are almost exactly identical to blackberries in flavor, but they grow a lot longer and on a tree.
I’ve thought about planting one for berries.
@@golovinpropertyservices, I’ve had and still have mulberry trees in the backyard and one trying to grow in the front yard, thanks to bird poop carrying the seeds everywhere. Lol….I’m always pulling out seedlings out of flower beds. The best are the white variety, they’re sweeter and plump. Take care…
But now the zombies can get through. 😉🤣😂 Good job!
I'd Roundup those puppies! Too labor intensive to keep under control for me.
Hopefully the wildlife can pass through instead of something else😅
Marysville is a "no blackberry" zone.
Use some round up afterwards and it's a done deal.
After you make it so much better, do the customers keep it cut or do they just take over again?
Usually most clients are able to maintain the areas themselves after the blackberries are mulched. If anything they do call back and I can come in and do the job a lot faster and for a lower price since it’s not the same amount of work as the original areas.
Those bushes are terrible! I’ve never seen blackberry bushes invade everything like this. Won’t they just grow back?
They sure are, they will grow back, just like anything else. But this was years worth of growth. After the first cut it usually takes 1-3 more cuts to kill them off. Other vegetation starts coming in and overtakes the blackberries.
I had no idea blackberrieshj would do this either.
I love watching your videos and the seeing you destroy blackberries!
I'm waiting to attack my blackberries until the dang yellowjackets and bald faced hornets go away for the year!
I love mulching them up. Watching an area get cleaned up is always super satisfying, I’ve got a few other blackberry jobs at the end of September.
So far I haven’t ran into any yellowjackets or bald faced hornets. But I can’t imagine knocking down a hive and getting stun.
A family in Africa could have survived two months with those berries.
There weren’t enough berries for a days worth of nourishment.
Your concern for Africa is appreciated, but words without action have no meaning.
That's a $20 blade on the link?
Yes, I’ve used lots of different blades. There is also the Oregon blade that can be used, I think the link was based on availability.
