Excellent explanation dear!! Not too much talking, not over complicated. Very simplistic! Excellent!!! I loved every minute of it. You’ve made this so seamlessly! 🥰
Glad it was helpful!
Angie Thanks so much, wish I had seen your video before I started my project.
Glad it was helpful!
Your video was one of the best learning videos I’ve watched so far. So many are too fast or confusing, so thank you.
Thank you for not dragging on when describing the process. It was easy listening and I will look to you for other segments.
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent video! How you can speak while weeding is beyond me. Weeding takes all of my concentration!
Cricut newbie here! Thank you so much for all of your videos! They are always so clear and concise and Ifeel confident starting my first projects.
Awesome! Thank you!
First timer here. Thank you
You’re welcome 😊
Wish you could be my teacher !!
Thank you!!! New to cricut making with a infant!!! Helps me soo much not to waste material and actually get projects done when I have the time!!!
Yes very clear and precise explanation. I appreciate it very much!❤
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for making this video as well as your others! This helped me out so much. I am new to the Cricut/sublimation world and I am trying to understand it. Your videos have helped me a lot. Thank you so much for making them!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
This is what I was looking for. Thank you! Now I have to watch the videos (again) to decide on what cricut machine is the best for me, and my budget!
Thank you so much for this video!! I needed this for projects today and you totally hit every nail with the hammer here and got every question answered!!
Glad it was helpful!
Great job at explaining. You have a good voice and demeanor.
I'm also a Cricut newby making banners and trying to cut 5 inch htv glitter or holographic vinyl on Expressions. This did help
Thank you for a clear and concise video. Bonus that you didn’t say the word cute a million times 😝
I found that rolling the sheet and keeping like an inch or 2 unrolled and then positioning it on the mat and rolling it out very helpful, specifically if ur doing a longer cut. Great video!
Great tip!
Thank you so much for this awesome video! I'm a beginner and for the most part have only stared at my cricut...now I believe that I can tackle this head on.
Happy to help!
Thanks. I really wanted to know how to do it. I bought the hat vinyl and iron. Very good explanation of how to do it 😄
I think I might actually be able to do this!! Even your quick mention of how to “attach” was so dang helpful. I was so confused as to why my design kept splitting into a million pieces 🤨🤣Thank you thank you!! 🩷
YAY! So glad it helped!
Super easy tutorial. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much. I love you tips and tutorials. I just got the air 2 and the easy press. Thank you so much
Glad I could help!
SUPER helpful! Thank you for making this!!
I am very, but very new in this type of crafting, and I already bought my cricut explore air 2, one week ago and dont know how to start. But your video is so good for beginners, since I understand what you are explaining. You got a new subscriber. Thank you.
You can do it!
Thank You!!!! Of the many videos that I have watched your videos have been the most helpful!!!🤗🤩
I'm so glad!
love your explaining u do it so calm and proudly ur a very good teacher we love u ty so much
Thank you for your video! This was really helpful! Merry Christmas!
I’ve never tried vinyl and am a bit intimidated. I bought some vinyl at the Dollar Tree to practice on before using my Cricut brand. After watching this video, I feel confident to now try the vinyl (and I now know how to use the tools, too). Thank you, Angie!
I have not had great luck with the Dollar Tree vinyl but I do need to try it again and see if I can get it to work! That being said, I think the Dollar Tree version is just adhesive vinyl for things like glass and wood. I am not sure if they have HTV for fabric.
You described things so well! Well Done! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much it's very helpful and easy to understand 😊❤️ Good luck to you
You made this look so easy thank you ❤

Very helpful!
love your tips
Glad you like them!
Thank you. Think I understand now. X
Do you ever find that it takes MULTIPLE times to press a design before it will finally adhere to a tee-shirt?
Usually I get it in one press. First, make sure you are following all instructions from the manufacturer of the HTV as each one is different. One common mistake is not paying attention to the peel temperature. Cricut HTV for instance should be cold before you peel the carrier sheet back. Second, if you don't purchase shirts made for crafting they may have a coating on them and you may find washing first helps.
Thank you so much for this. You’re wonderful at explaining things!
Glad it was helpful!
when i apply this to and iron i would use the same temps and times? my image will be smaller than a normal sized iron
Learned a lot. Thanks.
Glad to hear it!
Thank you I was so confused!
Any time!

Yes a heat press works fine!
Wow u were really helpful
Glad I could help!
OMGoodness! Finding your channel is a gift to be sure. Having come from old school silk-screening then on to the light bulb transfer silk-screening including hand drawn with permanent ink pens I am off to re-school myself about heat transfer/iron-on approach for t-shirts! I have the designs and 20 t-shirts for family yet had no clue about heat transfer aka iron-on how tos; products; equipment.
My very first old school silk screening [chemicals et al] was going to the library AFTER I took an order of 50 T-Shirts for a bowling league. HAH!
Well, I am old now [and just a bit wiser - LOL] and figured I could watch You Tubes. Not so fast. There are many to choose from to be sure yet find these to be distracting, confusing and completely frustrating. I sat down today which in itself is a challenge as I prefer to be on the move refusing to leave the computer until I figured this project out! After all, the grandkiddies are growing and the shirts already purchased. Truthfully, I was on the verge of tears and I am a tough old bird yet still hung in there and then I FOUND YOU!!!! Angie Holden you are a gifted teacher and I hope you go far.
THANK YOU. I will continue on in spite of myself yet because of YOU and send these gifts, hopefully, soon!!! to all my grown children, grandchildren and recently a great-grandchild knowing I had the best teacher to guide and encourage me.
Yes, I suppose a bit over the top for a You Tube comment still do know that you have assisted me in more ways than you can know.
Oh, I will continue to research but will ask this question here first regarding printer ink. Do you use a particular ink such as Pigment Based vs. Dye Based Ink for T-Shirts? Via all my reading and wondering about all the aspects of this project I came across this ink issue having not a clue there would be one.
AGAIN THANKS A MILLION. GOD BLESS YOU.
P.S. Yes, I have subscribed - and thumbs up each video I have viewed thus far - to your You Tube Channel AND for Your E-Newsletter!
Yay! So glad you found us! So, with heat transfer vinyl you do not need ink. With sublimation, you do. But it is a special ink and a special printer. So not your standard printer. I hope that makes sense?
@@AngieHolden Greetings, Angie! Hope you enjoy this one. After watching one of your videos this all clicked yesterday. ( ;
A month ago I picked up a pack of Avery Inkjet Printable Fabric Transfer and this began me digging into this incredible journey of HTV; Sublimation and Inkjet Fabric Transfer.
Phew! LOL. In truth, I was in a Hobby Lobby for the first time this summer while waiting for an appointment and found myself in the wonderfully colorful paper, rolls and these curious things called Cricut. I waited to speak with a salesperson and now after furthering my research I can now appreciate her expression at my queries......ok, ok,ok. Not to take up your time and thought I now do understand the different approaches to Creative Expressions via t-shirts etc!!
I am in the process of deciding how I am going to accomplish the goal of getting T-Shirts made and sent to everyone. I do not have any equipment to date and when I finally decide I will for sure use your links in order to support your efforts and talents. THANK YOU. Again. This stated do you have any knowledge about Inkjet Transfers and the inks best suited for printer ink. Now I just need to know. The mental ticker tapes will keep a-whirring until I learn about this. It ain't easy being me.
I will continue on in learning from your You Tubes as your techniques come through. ALL THE BEST.
Oh yes! Of course! If you have an ink jet printer, make sure the transfer you buy is marked for ink jet. Laser jet should be marked for laser jet. That is about it! You will want to follow the instructions exactly and really press down when ironing. I usually do mine on the floor so I can put my weight on it. I hope that helps!
@@AngieHolden Good Deal!!! Angie, Definitely appreciate your tips and suggestions!! Have not yet attempted but getting closer!!!!!
I'm new here.
Thank you.
This will help me get rich.
:)
Thanks for your easy to follow videos. Being a new Cricut user, I need all the help I can get. Also, being from the eastern part of the state, I love your shirt. Did you design it?
I didn't! It was actually a gift.
New sub. You're awesome❤
Thanks for subbing!
Thank u so much. 👌🏽
No problem 😊
Hi Angie! I'm a cricut newbie and this video was super helpful 😊. One quick question though, I am trying to make my 19 month old son a shirt for New year's. I have all materials, but how do I figure out how big to make the template on the computer? Should I measure the shirt to see how big the space is?
I always measure the shirt. There are templates in Cricut Design Space but I like to measure instead.
Hi there, I really appreciate the details you provide in your videos! My question is about the shirt you're wearing in this one. Did you make that with HTV? If so, do you have a tutorial for making something like that?
I purchased it!
Great video! I'm hoping I can use this method to iron back on a piece of vinyl print that came off one of my tshirts (I accidentally put it to wash in a hygiene steam mode on the washing machine).
Just put a piece of parchment paper or a pressing cloth over it before you press it back on.
@@AngieHolden I did this and it worked like a miracle!
Thank you! Can you also use the heat press on a binder?
Just be careful not to melt the binder!
Hi there. also a Cricut newbie! Can you use Glitter HVT (Iron-on) on ceramic coasters? Thanks for all your videos and help!
Yes you can.
Thank you, could you do a guide on using a regular iron too?
Hmmm...may have to add that to my list!
@@AngieHolden please provide me mobile number or insta ID please
Video was so helpful. How would you wash it afterwards?
Generally follow the directions that come with your HTV.
Nice! Just what I needed it!..one question… I saw people use parchment paper between the iron and the vinyl, when do I need the parchment paper? Thanks :)
That is more for layering. You can see more about that here: czcams.com/video/061Q7OgK8y4/video.html
Hello! Super helpful- I am looking to try iron on for the first time, would like to customize the front of a linen photo album. I'm assuming similar technique? Do you think it would be any difference considering its a binder behind the linen? Thanks!
Same process would apply. I would use an iron on product that has a low temperature and low time so you don't heat the binder too much.
Thanks for this video. It was very helpful. I am wanting to attach names to hearts cut out of cotton fabric. These hearts then are sewn onto a dog bandana. I've had trouble getting the letters to stick to the cotton hearts. Does your method work on cotton scraps the same as T-shirts. I don't see any htv being added to non t-shirt cotton projects like mine. Thanks.
It should work fine. It might be the brand of HTV you have.
HI Angie :)
just wondering can you use sport flex iron on, on ordinary cotton tee shirts, etc...or other fabrics?
and what would be the temperatures to use?
really enjoy your videos thank you for sharing them. I find them really informative and helpful :)
have a nice day :)
magz :)
I have used sport flex on cotton. I think I used the temperatures for everyday actually.
@@AngieHolden Thanks Angie for all your help and advice appreciate it :)
Have fun creating...wish I could lol...joke :)
Very excellent video just need more information on how to to use |Contour could not get the button to light up

I am so beyond frustrated with Cricut right now - I can't get it to cut through basic cricut htv (and other materials) and looking for any suggestions. I have tried deep cut blade, running it through 2 or 3 times and I still can't get a full cut. You make it look sooo easy - I'm so jealous lol
Have you tried replacing your blade? Sounds like something is wrong.
New to Cricut but learned so much form your video here. Can you use this as a way to put your logo / graphics onto say a golf shirt, in lieu of getting them embroidered? If so a downside would seem to be I'm restricted to the vynle color selections and not the actual colors of the logo? Correct? Looking for potential applications here. Thanks
You can do that! There are pros and cons to every single method of customizing a shirt!
Hello Angie! Thank you for the explanation. Just wondering if you can buy the clear transfer sheet on its own without the vinyl and use it for my own heat transfer projects?
Yes it is called a heat transfer mask.
