yeah this is as much of a gimmick as the ai hardware products marques roasted. yet yters are for some reason cluelessly acting like making your airpods into a 20 dollar phone and selling it for 400 is a revolutionary idea.

Not sure if it needs maps and weather and all that complicated stuff. Just music player with internal storage is good enough. The other stuff will just kill the battery and drive the price super high.

Keep in mind that Apple has patented tons of things it either never used, or used portions of in a new device. For example eyesight for AVP was patented years ago and the final version was little like the patent in practice.
So, basically an iPod with built-in airpods.

Add AI then you have the Humane Pin but better

Leaks suggests pro 3’s until late 2025. If you need the 2’s there’s nothing wrong with them, bought mines just on April. Gotta admit they’re not the best wireless earbuds I’ve used, but they’re good

I’m not upgrading. I’m in the market to purchase my very first AirPods Pro. I don’t have the regular AirPods. What I buy will be my first. So, do I buy Air Pods Pro 2, wait for Air Pods Pro 3, or wait for the Air Pods Go????

@@TamasKiss-yk4st I know Apple could restrict up to some stage with the OS but there are some clones keeping up with the retails even with the ANC too (not 100%). And doing the all other animation stuffs in the phone and recognizing a replica as a retail pair. This will be like Apple Watch replicas.
EDIT : In this video he’s showing like a rumored/leaked model not the Real Deal. But after the introduction reps will catch up. The best example is Apple Watch Ultra reps. It will not work like the Retails but may be 80% of it.

so it´s a pair of Ipods and an Apple Watch in one wich puts the pricepoint around 700 $ yeah looks like a mass market product. Is it waterproof ? what material is it made of ? how long will the battery last and how heavy will it be if it´supports all the features you suggest ? I consider this highly doubtful and close to clickbait.

I loved my old mini iPod touch, this is exactly what I would want for running/gym use, I hate having to bring my phone and I’m still using an iPhone 13 mini
I feel the same exact same way. I would love a music player that clips onto my clothes like the old iPod Shuffle. Those things were magic.

I'm a runner and I take my Beats Fit Pro, iPod nano 7 and Garmin running watch. Running shorts often have a credit-card or key pocket on the waistband and an iPod nano easily fits. I think that an AirPods case would be too thick and heavy. I'd just prefer that Apple bring back the nano 7. The battery on my nano 7 isn't super-strong anymore but I can still get an hour out of it.

I would totally buy a tiny little music player if Apple made one. I miss the old iPod Nano. I don’t like the Apple Watch. I don’t want a device strapped onto me all the time.

I doubt this is really happening.
If Apple desires, they have the capability to develop an Apple Watch that operates independently from the iPhone and streams audio directly to the AirPods. They could even consider integrating a discreet storage compartment for the AirPods on the Apple Watch, similar to certain other smartwatches that have already implemented this feature.
You can just use your phone…. When are you without your phone but have your headphones smh bring back the touch keyboard

To be honest with you we already have an apple watch, this makes no sense. Adding a display nothing wrong but they need to keep it very basic, like why the heck would you imessage on air pod or watch videos on it makes zero sense and when factoring we have an apple watch which is a much better product 24 hours on ur wrist

This could be the new iPod, with earphones literally built in, lack of cellular can be disappointing but if the OS is interesting, some would prefer it to a watch if they don’t really need health sensors but I heard that earphones might have them soon !

Really, all we actually need is playback in hi-res FLAC.
This is easily done by taking Apple Watch internals and unfolding the battery and SOC board to make it thinner. Replace the crown with touchscreen circular gesture. Lose the health sensors (or move them to the AirPods) and expand the battery across the back of the AirPod case. Another, target market would be people that don't want to wear a watch but wouldn't mind some of the features. I think it would also need to be usable without a cellular or Internet connection (updating when charging), with the focus on music and other minor apps.
But. I have a phone. Who needs this 😂

Tbh I don’t even notice the sound quality difference between the pro 1 & 2. I upgraded for usb-c and expected to be wowed by the sound but I wasn’t at all. This screen is redundant for me w my iPhone and Apple Watch. And I feel like it would take away battery life for no real needed purpose

If this is true and imminent, Apple would announce it at WWDC, if Apple wants to teach developers how to write software for it.

So unpractical. Why would I stream from my AirPods case when I have a watch on my wrist or phone in my pocket, or Mac at my finger tips. Not to mention the battery life on this thing wouldn’t be great. I’d rather the battery case charge my AirPods.

Not sure about those. They’d be too expensive, kids would lose them, break them, drop them down toilets etc. Battery life wouldn’t be good enough. Apple would possibly not allow third party music streaming on this ( youngsters tend to prefer Spotify to Apple Music)as a stand alone device and for sure the Chinese would make clones. This doesn’t exist and they already have by the looks.😂 I don’t believe AirPods Go are a thing but I might be wrong?

If you really think about it, they could easily add the Apple watches screen and other hardware, and if Siri gets an AI update then you can just use voice commands to navigate. It really makes a lot of sense if you think about it it could easily be a standalone device. It would be much better to go on a walk with this rather than bringing your entire iPhone or you could use this to go to the gym or you do exercise while your phone is packed away and this one is at your hand. Really interesting concept.

The only real benefit i see to this display and touch interface added is if you use the airpods on a windows, android device or nintendo switch where there isn’t a nice software integration to change the noise cancellation mode and stuff like that. The use case for the kids doesn’t make sense. Also, I don’t believe Apple will allow messaging or watching movies on that thing.

The touch screen on them would be dumb imagine putting them in your bag or pocket it would just skip the music or if they have a dimmer on the screen and you forgot to dim it would just frustrate me.
I don’t think this is gonna make people buy it off the shelves. Sometimes Apple makes a lot of pets that they never use and even if they do use them, it takes many, many years before it comes to fruition. This would be cool when working out because I don’t need to bring my phone. ^^ but I guess I could technically do that with my Apple Watch. I feel like it might have some variation of the watchOS.
I have to admit this would be very appealing to high school students that love to listen to music in class, which they shouldn’t be doing honestly

Considering Apple Watches can have a SIM card and act independently from a phone, it seems they could do that for this too.
I think you’re are wrong, because Apple already has the perfect screen/ companion for the APP, which the AW. So Apple will never improve the APP, if it will impacte AW sales (like iPad and MBA)
