Chris is clearly a fan of the show, knows how to play and is a good sport with his fellow contestants in that he’s genuinely happy for others when they do well.

It says something that Chris' interview is 6 minutes while Bridgit' was double that. Both had diff motivations

Chris is so cool as a contestant! He's doing a great job at the tasks without feeling overly competitive so far. Looking forward to the next episode!
I expected Chris to be the wild card of the season. But so far he is the surprisingly competent one.
We all just immediately accepted that 3 is half a 8. So good at delivering that visually rather then mathematically.
I'm loving Chris Ramsey in this season. The whole lineup is great.
This was such a great idea for the interviews. The songs were hilarious and unhinged, but this is more controlled and still hilarious. It would’ve been funny to see them try to actually run for 10 seconds
I still think the mirror-inception of the 'Alex-Contestant interviews Contestant-Alex' were the best.

this is obviously not going to get used on the show, but i would give a bonus point to how well he kept the pace moving the legs simultaneously quite well
Is "keep pace" a synonym for "mimic my walk"? If I was doing this I'd like to think that I'd just go at the same speed beside him and let Alex do his funny walks on his own.
Oh man, great question. Dictionary says it means "move at the same speed as." But I wonder whether Alex would insist on defining it literally, as "keep in step with".
well, alex's funny walks are technically what defines the number of steps taken, though in practice it doesnt really matter too much
@@haileymccurry3756 I'm sure I heard him on the CoCpt2 podcast that I caught up on yesterday say that they found their pedometer to be wildly inaccurate (which they are, though that hasn't stopped them using the same model for many things he says) and they had to do count back from the footage. Though these interviews were never previously linked to show points and isn't this the first time they've opened a task with instructions for the interview? But they've always been a CZcams exclusive, so I can't see them being shown in the show as they're quite low-key for television.
"keep pace" means keep the same speed.

Chris and his wife Rosie are wonderful people and their podcast “Shagged, Married, Annoyed” is hilariously, tears rolling down your cheeks funny. A new episode is out every Friday (todays is number 164) and I would highly recommend starting right at the beginning - it will cheer you up no end. They also have a show starting mid-May, which is loosely based on their podcast. I’m so looking forward to watching this.

I love so many of Chris's answers, he's my spririt animal: I like fun/weird sports, I easily lose concentration, and I think I'd resort to panicking too if on Taskmaster.

this task is sooo chill
it has slowly started to hit me that alex practiced this stroll to the point where he can keep up conversation while also knowing when to do the changes to his walking like doing the fast steps and walking sideways.
I mean, he has the questions written down, so all he has to do is add in a note for how to walk
It wouldn't even be that hard since they are walking in a circle. Select specific locations for specific walks. Then rotate one of the circles (made by connecting an imaginary line between those points) a number of degrees to change the location/walk style for the next go around.
It is a simple:
1, 2, 4, 2, 6, 3, 4, 1, 2, 4, 3... pattern

I'm pretty sure this is the raw camera footage, you can tell by how it's kinda greyed out and some areas are over exposed. It's interesting that this task isn't colour graded like the ones that air on the show.

Everybody in this series is so charming and I would love to befriend them all! Chris especially has such nice and chummy vibes! It was nice to see him win the first two episodes.
This can tell you he just goes for the task. I think he wont win but is going to be a solid scorer.
This confounded series is responsible for me staying up late "catching up" until 2am most nights... And not getting my school work done

I couldn't do this task. I would need to run and count. I couldn't just stroll along and talk lol
They were going in a square, so all you had to do was count one side and keep track of how many times you went around.
You can use Alex's questions to count. How many shoes do you own? I own 359 pairs of shoes.

@@Dayvit78 My method would be to halt Alex from starting until I'd worked out roughly how many laps of the area we were going to need to get to roughly the right number of steps.
So 10K steps is ~5mi, 5K ~2.5mi, 500 ~.25mi and that garden/grassed area looked a reasonably big size, so maybe only 6 laps would do it.
I'd then keep hold of his arm and steer him (with him obviously dictating the pace & style of steps but me the route), then I've only got to clock passing the barn/house six times (calling it out as we go to help remember). Then he can ask whatever stupid, distracting & confusing shit he likes and if he asks me how many steps along the way it doesn't matter what I answer.
I think I would be quite intimidating & forceful with Alex for most things, as he's obviously deliberately trying to wind-up & put-off and there'd be bonus points from Greg enjoying how much I look like I'm about to kill him or making him suffer/awkwardly submit. Alex brings out the worst in me is what I notice when imagining myself doing the tasks and I'd do well to keep a lid on the temper and remember to be comedic about it. I'm about to kill you. In a fun way. Look into my eyes and you know it's true.
I'm now about to go to bed and be annoyed with Alex at how much he's got my mind whirring...😠

@@saramacdonald410 They did just as soon as the originaö episode aired. they did it with the first episode of series 13 and then removed it again and no sign of Ep2. Apparwntly issues uploading which is TOTAL bullshit as this upload proofs. I knew shit like this wouöd happen with they paid subscription service even when they said CZcams would not be affected by it. they got greedy and start allienating their overseas fans.
There is absolutely no incentive for them to do that. Even with Adsense, they make very little from showing them on CZcams. If you’re that keen to watch them, why not support the show financially so they are able to make more? There’s a relatively cheap streaming service you can pay for to get the episodes as they release, or you can wait until a channel in your country buys the rights to show it. Both of those will make them more money than Adsense revenue.

That wasn’t fair because Chris’s estimate was good but Alex was pressurizing him into ending it by saying that he’d run out of questions and thus implying that it had gone on too long.

Then it's up to Chris to keep it going or give longer answers. Not that he knew to do that of course but it's all part of it. Alex never claimed he had enough questions for the full amount of steps. There was no pressure and it was as fair (or unfair) as everybody else's interview.
That's the whole point of the show! 😁 Where does it say taskmaster is supposed to be fair?
They have to goals to achieve:
- answer the questions while walking AND
- reach the target number of steps
It's up to them if they rush or take too long before they hit the steps total.

Morgana most successful? The only episode she won was the first and she only won the whole series because of a bonus point she got earlier on

@@iliketrains3495 I'm with you. Morgana was given multiple bonus points, but the one in the first episode was the reason she won. There were also several tasks, both objective and subjective, where she was overscored, like the dog toy one. I've never cared much about who wins or loses, but I didn't like her winning because of the way she was overscored and given so many bonus points... Morgana aside, I think Chris is starting off strong, and it'll be close in the end, but we're only 2 episodes in. I don't think people should get too excited yet. It's too early in the series, it's not like Sarah Kendall where it was obvious early on because there was such a difference in points.
In my head, Liza Tarbuck has been the most dominant contestant in their series, but not sure if the numbers back that up. Usually it goes all the way to the final task of the series, but I think Chris might be the champion after about six episodes from what we’ve seen so far. 😆
I think Chris is my favourite contestant this year, I really hope he wins. Unfortunately for Chris my favourite each series has only won twice in 12 series. Sorry Chris

So far a I think Chris is gonna win….if the last two weeks are anything to go by, coz no matter what order they out the tasks in , no contestant is likely to come out great on all of them each week and so far he has…but it is early days, and ho knows this week might be all his worst ones in one show 😂

I understand that television is a business and I'm super happy Taskmaster seems to be doing great, but not having this series uploaded on youtube on Thursdays is a real shame. Some of us don't live in the UK and don't have 6 euros a month to pay for this in the supermax. Please reconsider uploading the episodes here. Thanks
From what Alex has said, I think the Taskmaster team want to upload the episodes. So I would guess it not happening is a channel 4 mandate. It's a shame, but not much they can do if C4 won't let them. The new series isn't even on Supermax yet, so it clearly isn't because of that.

Are the eps out in the uk? Don't see why not release them elsewhere. I mean we were spoiled getting them free on youtube and thanks for that, but dont see how not putting them out for people who want to watch the series outside the region helps channel 4. Still the episodes are great and cast although I was skeptical is great.
If they put it out for everyone outside the region they cant negotiate a good price for selling the show to providers outside their region.
They don’t put the current series out for free on here. Absolutely no incentive for them to do so; they’d make nowhere near as much from Adsense as they would from negotiating to show it on other countries’ channels. They also have their own streaming service where you can pay monthly to get the new eps as they release (plus the entire back catalogue) ad-free. Why not do that if you want to watch the new ones?
@@HerHollyness They usually do put out the current season for free on here depending on your region. I don't believe they do this anymore. My guess is because of the new streaming service which you mentioned.
Channel 4 are supporting a government initiative to combat Type-2 tvdiabetes (a very serious condition) so they are helping you to not stuff yourself with content.
@@HerHollyness Oh ok makes sense, Ive only seen couple unavailable videos in series 13 playlist and figured those were full episodes not available outside UK. Them putting it on a streaming service makes sense. Still a bit sad that it didn`t work out with putting it out on youtube. Loved the comments and community on each episode. Maybe in the future

When they did the show with James Acaster etc, there was a task where they were in an underground shelter of sorts.. They had to put something through the roof so Alex could see.. I think James put underwear on a stick..

I want to say, isn't the solution to snatch the pedometer off of Alex (he showed it was weakly clipped on) and run away slightly? He obviously wouldn't engage to get it back other than keeping up with you. Your pace and his would respect the rule and you'd know your steps!
