- A mother will do everything for her child and that's exactly what Leah did for her son to get an education after losing hope.
She was going to earn a cool 500K by taking drugs from Kenya to Seychelles but the moment she landed, the arrest came.
The result, was 12 years in prison in Seychelles, regrets, shame, and finally, a great connection with God.
On this episode of LNS, she walks Lynn through her mistakes, lessons, denial, and self-acceptance and wants her story to serve as a lesson to those making shortcuts in life
On this 7 episode series dubbed Pain to Power, we will feature stories of women from prison both locally and internationally and lay focus on one organization by the name Clean Start and how they are helping reintegrate these women back

I've learned a lot today
It scares me when somebody starts to realize the consequences of their actions after they are caught. I wish this happens before one gets into trouble. But then who's satan; Always at work. God help us.
I was searching for an inspiring educational video, and then I came across this piece. The story of Leah is so powerful and inspiring. During her talk, I came away with so many ways that would be done to start projects that help former prison inmates to restart their life. These citizens deserve love and understanding. They do not need to be judged because we are all not far away from being homeless, needy, or a prisoner in some circumstances. I would love to learn more about Restorative Justice in Seychelles and Clean Start in Nairobi, Kenya. I am personally inspired beyond bounds!
Safe an interview for me 2024 sweetheart
.
She's teaching us about the consequences of SHORT CUTS in life , kindly let's learn something from her story .
Lynn to clarify as Catholics we do not worship Mary or the saints, but ask them to pray to God on their behalf. This is known as intercession. Statues are to help you to focus a person's mind on an aspect of prayer or worship. For example, a statue of Jesus on the cross can help us remember the sacrifice of Jesus
I also felt that she did not appreciate what these good Catholics did to make her prison stay and release smooth
Do not make yourselves any graven image,,, statues are a idols.... JESUS is the only way to heaven..Mary can't save you
Imagine you do not need any saints or mary or statues to access God. The only mediator we have been given that can link humans and God is Jesus Christ. 1st Timothy 2:5-6.
I don't think it matters who people reach God through...we all have fallen short of His Glory. Praying thorough Mary, or Jesus hasn't made any of us holy. Matters of religion we should respect each person's. Everyone translates the bible differently
@Regina Njogu why argue with God's word, asking Mary to pray for you is unbiblical, mary died and got buried. Asking me to pray for you is because am alive and I am a Christian but when am dead, you can't ask me to pray for you. Mary cannot intercede for you, she is not a mediator, Jesus Christ is our only mediator. The bible says Jesus sits at the right hand of God interceding for us. Bible doesn't say Mary is interceding. Bible also say don't make any image and bow to it. Protestants make cross but they don't bow to it. Catholics make statue of Mary and bow to it, exactly opposite of God's word n my question is, why argue with God.? Why not just obey when he says don't make statues n bow to them?
The faith that this lady has is at another level...this depicts God's mercy and grace despite our sinfulness.
Never judge. My own biological mum was arrested for planning my dads murder because of the violence she had endured all her marriage. She was convicted for 8 years and unfortunately she died in Lang'ta women's prison. It was a very traumatising period for me as a firstborn and also my siblings. I am glad to say Jesus took away my pain. This life will humble you in one way or another. NEVER JUDGE. As much as the people convicted feel the pain, the children or loved ones bear the most. The shame, disgrace, reproach is on another level. It needs God to overcome. It took me over 30 years to feel like a normal human being. It doesn't hurt me anymore. Mama you are strong
Hugs dearie
More hugs.
Sorry 😔
Hugs ❤️
Am glad that you are brave enough to own the mistake. The devastation goes beyond the jail time . My mum is kikuyu and my dad is from Seychelles . I visit my family there every time l come to Kenya. There's great harm and lives ruined from drugs especially the young adult males in this small country . Your intent was save your son and someone's else son's life was going to be ruined. God is an amazing God. Your son still made it without the drugs money. You made a positive impact in Seychelles and now in kenya. God had your back even then.
Lynn....this story is not about drugs or trafficking...it's about Yahweh's mercy and grace and love for all of us sinners.... 🙏🏽
🙄🙄
Indeed. Glory be to our merciful God. We are prisoners of sin. Until we accept our sins, God mercy is sufficient🙌

I was in immigration cell in Thailand after being human trafficked to the country, it's not an actual prison cell but it's a place that you wouldn't wish even your worst enemy to be in... I don't want to imagine the prison in a foreign land....such a strong woman, you are a heroine for coming out and remaining 💪 strong.

Gosh powerful a lot learnt all the best Leah our God has better plans for you
This‘ why i envy NOBODY‘s life especially on social media streets. Just that she got caught, had she been successful angetesa kutesa. There are many more out there quoting motivational quotes & thanking god for his goodness but they know how they have acquired their wealth 😁😁😁
Especially to this young generation: live an honest life, save yourself and your people stress.
As for the lady, thank you for being courageous enough to tell your story.

Good teaching about the experience they both hv strong stories to learn from
Sometimes we fail in life for God to use us as a vessel to elevate others!
When Joseph was put in Jail his ministry was born😍❤️so is Leah😊not all prisons are a punishment.
DO NOT DO CRIME😉
@WanjiruMuya karibu ujachelewa bado😂
Hii shiru.happy to see you
NB:As catholics we don't worship Mary mother of Jesus Christ, we just honor her , just like the way other hang pictures of honorables n pastors on walls, the Rosary is the same y ou wear chains of celebrities n others, the only difference is we pray using that rosary in honor of virgin Mary mother of Jesus Christ.
Winnie I'm so glad that you explained this because I'm not catholic and always had a misconception about that.
@@jessieschatz9611 thank you for understanding now🙏💯✌️
Well put...and all the prayers are constructed using scriptures from the bible like 'Hail Mary full of grace'..these are words of Angel Gabriel in Lk 1:26,and the second part 'Holy Mary mother of God' are Elizabeth's acknowledgment during Mary's visitation in Lk 1 :43...
@@leonidaondari8669 good at least you quoted the Bible verses 🙏💯
Our undoer of knots.Our mother.
Grace of God is sufficient for her
Thanks Lynn
💓
Leah story was a test so she can testify God is so good

We hv been treated so badly at Seychelles airport. I now understand.
They thoroughly checked us .We just cd not understand why treat us so.
Anyway, Seychelles airport staff owe an explanation and apology when people are very innocent .
I hv been having questions about how I hv been treated at Seychelles but you hv enlightened me abit

Thanks for sharing, thank God you came out alive, my colleague wasn’t lucky she was caught in china and got hanged a few years later living behind her 10 yr old son. So many people get caught and end up dead.

Very sad story but a very good ending too. Lady, you were NOT in prison. God intended to deploy you there so that you do what you did - glorify Him. Thanks, Lynn, for the real life stories you stream for us. Long live LN Show.
Congratulations Leah for such a big move , it's not easy owning your story and letting others learn from your own personal life experiences 💯. Big up
Exactly!
Point of correction
Catholics Don't worship Mary, we venerate her as the Mother of God.
Otherwise inspiring story
It might just be her English but she doesn't mean that they worship Mary .... Because it is true when we plug on "Jesus" photos - Robert Powell, he is just a simple guy in England and a normal actor, but people especially the Catholic have brainwashed Africans believing that this guy is Jesus and yet he was just trying to earn a living by acting .... The portate photos of all the history in the Bible was just an assumptions ... If you go to Egypt Old Cairo when Mary was founding a rescue place to hide when Herod wanted to kill Jesus.... This place or church shows nothing that was related to the photography of Mary and this kinder of place where you could find the remain of such people.... Some people understand better when practice things using an image that might be the reason why catholic regime uses this kind of images...
They was nothing like a photograph during the time of Jesus.... My fellow Africans we need to go back to history to understand Africa better.... Our continent might have been the origin of everything .... Starting from school, medicine etc....
Amazing 👏 mama peace of God apon your life 🙏 ❤️
Looking beautiful as usual Lynn

My dad has been in remand for one and a half years and he is in his 60s. We are having a fund drive to get him out and now come to think of it, he has been hesitant in the desire to get his freedom and I and my sister did not understand WHY he isn't interested in leaving the prison. Now i get it !!! It's because he doesn't know where to fall back to😔😔!!! Someone with a plug for men who have been in prison?
