Though Damon not necessarily follows his own advice because God knows how many times he kills for no reason at all, but it's a good advice for Klaus. And I like that Klaus is thinking about Caroline and he actually knows that he screwed up by killing Carol. I love him but when he killed Carol out of revenge, I'm pretty disappointed at him. Ughh...I still can't over that last Klaroline scene in TO finale. I'm going back to my Klaroline fan fictions to erase my memories of Klaus' death.

I think if he was trying to murder Camille's friends and family, because he need some stupid doppelgänger blood she wouldn't be so understanding and loving, either. At the end, it is fiction...the writers were not prepared for the chemistry that Joseph and Candice had, so...i guess they were not sure how to handle it! That's why Klaroline ship hits so hard, because it was not scripted chemistry, they even deleted a scene from the VD season 4 where they kissed, because was not scripted, That speaks to me, the chemistry was mind blowing on the SET! ....
The difference between Caroline's relationships with Damon and Klaus is that Damon eventually earned her forgiveness and Klaus didn't. He tried to bought her forgiveness with expensive gifts and sweet, manipulative words. That's not how it works. Klaus never had any idea what REAL love and caring really is. He had this sick and twisted perception about it. He though that in order to get love, you have to abuse and manipulate them.

@@DDT-ei7bh that’s partially not true. He actually only wanted Elena, but her friends got in the way. He needed Elena to break the curse his mom placed on him so that he didn’t have to change, YES; however, it’s what made him finally able to defeat Mikael

While he was doing the ritual, Mikael was in chains. He could've killed him at any time. He didn't have to change before or after because he was a vampire, then he was a hybrid. Esther placed it on him so that he wouldn't create his own hybrid species.
