Vash is really sweet and gentle, i really love his personnality, it's different from classical anime characters. He's smart, calm and his smile is soothing. In a way we can also see his sadness in his eyes.

is it weird that whenever I have social anxiety or a mild panic attack, I listen to this song and then feel calm right after?? Granted, the song centers around pain and helplessness, but the tone of hope and courage in the lines made it effective in grounding me. call me picky but very few songs manage to help me in these types of situations.

It definitely isn't weird because like you said there is a few specs of hope in the lyrics and when we're down on our luck any form of hope can keep us afloat and maybe some of us can relate to the lyrics

I never watch the original but gawd dahmn this anime is perfect, down to every last minute detail. The visual, plot, storytelling, world building, the music, everything is perfect. The only thing i don't like is the fact that it's only 12 episode.

The easiest way to enjoy Trigun Stampede is to simply see it as its own unique thing. BOTH are amazing shows. I watch the original and the new show side by side and I love it.
Why it's so good? In my humble opinion, it's because Vash is an amazing character. This song really describes his personality and I love it for that!
I still see ppl who look the old show and sometimes is sad, they just dont give a chance to the new reboot. In the other hand, there is still ppl who look the old one and find this one good ^^.
Like u say, its better just to see two different shows from the same origin, they are different and have great things like other than are not that good.
The only thing i dont particulary enjoy of this one (i dont see the old) is... well, the fights? LOL but it have it all, i really like it the first 3-4 chapters, but after that to me that type of animation is just eyecandy... i dont feel tension anymore with that, i see it, and i know its just the animator flexing their skills JAJAJAJA. I really have the same feeling with the cliffhangers, after a while of using it, u start to hate it. If they just varity a bit more how they show fights i really might be considered a 10/10, but 9/10 for a picky person like me is still good (for me, its a personal score, i dont want to compare series in general ^^)
@@vicentejavier8855 I understand where people coming from, since for a lot of people it's a piece of nostalgia too. I don't really feel that way about Trigun, since I only watched it when it came on Netflix in my country. I can't speak for other people, so this is just my opinion on this.
In regard to the fights, I like them more in this one! There are great scenes in the original too, but I like how dynamic the shots are. Eyecandy, sure, but I like that kind of animation xD
@@yasumi402 I finish the manga today... mmm, i dont know... normally its too hard to read one manga? i never have problems, maybe with tokyo ghoul, but Trigun is hard to understand honestly. Still, the strong point is the lore, and the characters. I really feel emotional with Wolfwood at some point, and of course, with Vash and the hard choices.
Only for the hard time reading the manga, i preffer the anime and the remake, there i can enjoy fights bcs with the panels honestly i cant follow 😢

確信もなく信念としてすら持てない希望が、足元にただただ広がっている
足裏の底から沁みて昇ってくるゾッとするような終わりのない「善性」が自分をどうしようもなく生かし続けている
曲名でもあるトンビという鳥は普段は臆病な性格で生きているものを襲わない性質があるらしいですね、ヴァッシュにとてもよく当てはまっているなぁ、と個人的に思いました。
もちろん歌詞もとてもヴァッシュに当てはまるものが多くて素敵です。
曲自体が本当に素敵なので何度でも聞いちゃいますね。
This reboot was way better than I expected, I wouldn't even put the original above or below it, it's like we have "Trigun Vanilla" and "Trigun Strawberry" now.
I think Trigun Stampede narrowly outdoes the original. The remake cut out the filler, and the animation is not only gorgeous but lends itself to the genre of space westerns. Plus the reason we are here: the OP is fantastic.
@billclark515 I have to disagree. The reboot is like a Cyberpunk Western rather than a Western steampunk technology.
They both aren't the same.
The original became more "we have to start from scratch." While the reboot started out as "we have all this technology and have to rebuild until we lost the generators and now we have to find practical alternatives."
なんでこんなことが出来るんだろう。まさにヴァッシュの歌。歌詞そのものがヴァッシュのことば(アルコールはあんまり飲まないだろうけど)。
「悪夢は終わらない」「明けぬ夜はない」「希望を忘れない」……ない、ナイ、nai。繰り返される否定の言葉がヴァッシュの追い求めてやまない片割れの名前と同じ音なのも好き。すごい。

The stakes were too high, and peace/Least violent path still could not solve everything

I am already ready to elevate this new Trigan to the status of a cult work. And this song just penetrates me into the deepest parts of my soul every time. Finished watching Trigun Stampede last night and I now know why this song fits the story perfectly.

At first my expectation ran low for the 3D animation and the change of style on the characters, even the way the story changes. But it was a good idea to see it, on a nostangic way and as another way to tell the story i remember, i loved it so much ♥
As an fan of the manga and the 90s series, I think this version is good but pretty weird. It kinda feels like it’s made for us vets instead of new modern audience despite being it’s own different story. That’s probably because of much faster pacing it has, I feel like I would be somewhat confused if it was my first encounter with the universe. I don’t dislike it though, it’s still great and honestly I’m so happy I can have another fresh experience with one of my favourite stories. I don’t mind character redesigns either, the only thing I’m a bit upset with is Wolfwood’s nose job, it kinda took away a part of his charisma.
@@esserefveermold Agreed, I feel like this is the story Nightow wanted to tell back in the 90s anime and was scrapped, bc the manga does go deeper into knives's psyche but the 90s doesnt as much as the reboot does. Especially my making Knives show his yandere sick side over Vash which is a pretty taboo thing that was censored in the 90s.

Definitely my favorite opening of the Winter 2023 Anime season. This incarnation of Vash is a lot more solemn and sorrowful from the get-go, which might not be everyone's cup of tea, especially with how it contrasts with the old, more often goofier Vash, but this opening definitely does a fantastic job of accentuating his personality and the mood of disaster that follows in his wake. I'm glad we got a new take on Trigun with Stampede, it's a gorgeous show that anybody should at least give a shot.

I think it's also bcs of thosw reviews online. Especially from old fans who said "the show is not worth it." As someone who has knows trigun for it's legends even tho i never watch it. I came to trigun stampede blind, with minimum knowledge of the show. I can completely say it is more than worth it, and the show will cultivate new fans for sure. If people come in blind like i do, they sure are in for a wild ride in the show. It's really said people would sh1t on the show just bcs it's a remake.
They need to get off from glorifying the old version and give STAMPEDE a chance, and people also need a sip of this series bcs they are missing out.
It is doing fine in Asia and Europe. It is only the mental woke right-chicken-wing Americans that are review bombing the show like spoilt children that don't watch this
I think one of the reasons is the many complaints from fans of the original. Episode 1 on crunchyroll is mostly filled with negative comments from them. I don't know anything about the original so I'm enjoying this one. Plus the animation. Many people hate 3d but this one's really good.

The show bridges the history of Vash to the previous series but in a more melancholic way just like the mood of the song...... you can love the tune but feel the infinite sadness to be in the world he lived in and try get everyone to be better in his way.

The opening to Cowboy Bebop is so cool and I really enjoy it, but this strikes deeper and is my new favorite. It has a depth of emotion perfect for Trigun. Never skip the opening credits while this is playing.

I know I don't watch the original one but when I watch Trigun Stampede as a remake, IMHO it's like damn, I love this anime so much! Vash is my angel, he's so soft and kind, I'd like to get to know him. And this song is too beautiful, I'm obsessed. ❤

I've watched both the original [1998 trigun] and the remake [2023 Trigun stampede] and damn, they were both amazing! This song matches Vash's personality well if you think about it, probably my #1 most favorite anime openings.

I knew nothing about Trigun aside from Vash and how he's upbeat and goofy but also cool and it seemed like a fun adventure type of story... I saw that Stampede had faster pacing and had VAs I liked so I watched it and dang... The emotional damage... Trigun and Trigun Stampede is beautiful.

8話の最初0秒から1分13秒の思い出ミリオンズとヴァッシュとレムの映像からの1分14秒のOPのはいり。まじで泣きそうになった。

乗り越えられない哀しみを抱えながらも、それに押しつぶされることなく希望を体現するバッシュにぴったりの美しい曲です。聞いてて涙が出ます。
It’s been weeks but i’m still constantly listening to this. Partly because it reminds me of Vash and Trigun but mostly because the song itself is so beautiful and can be listened to on repeat without getting repetitive or boring. Amazing work.

at first i disliked this "reboot" cuz i grew up on old trigun but the way the story was being told still hooked me and i love this op almost just as much as the old one
not to mention this Vash, he immediately seems like the kindest person ever ans honestly i think we need that in times like this where we all need our own kind of hope and this reboot was honestly right on time
