What I love about that episode is Tridge in that house getting along like the old days. He feels so at ease. They tease each other in the living room , she is a little bit nervous about him teasing her. So gorgeous these two side by side arguing about the tools.
Then she is in her bed and he is on the couch and there is no tension.There is not the void sexual tension. He falls asleep while listening to her voice forgetting he jas to come back home.
Somebody would argue saying he isn't in love with her anymore, or she is too boring tonthink about se x ... But they are wrong. That is chemistry for me.

If you think about it, this is exactly why Brooke and Stephanie have more in common than they care to admit. They both put Ridge on a pedestal and treat their other children like they're second class citizens. Eric Jr is definitely the equivalent to Thorne in this scenario. He was thrown in jail and sentenced to death, Brooke would give him a moment's thoughts, and then spend the rest of her time interfering in Ridge's love life🙄.

Taylor feeling sorry for herself. I'm sorry she got attacked. Plenty of other men out there. She could have called James. It had to be Ridge.
*Brooke & Taylor: New Role, Who Dis?*
Another example of role-switching Brooke and Taylor while retaining their archetypes (see episode 2014). Brooke is now worrying and waiting at home for Ridge while he spends time with Taylor. But Taylor isn't a scheming Bad Girl, she isn't actively plotting to breakup Ridge's relationship -- there really _was_ an intruder in her home! And Brooke lacks the compassion and dignity of the Good Girl, doubting whether there really was an intruder and plotting with James. Indeed the reason Brooke is insecure and suspicious is because she knows _what she would do and how she behaved_ when she was in that position! It's like she's trying to impose the Bad Girl frame unto Taylor but it only ends up reflecting her own bad-ness. Ultimately this shows why the roles and archetypes need to be aligned. In order to achieve an ending where Ridge spends the night at Taylor's place (and causes a problem in his relationship with Brooke), the show relies on plot contrivances, rather than character moves. Someone happens to break into Taylor's home and Ridge accidentally falls asleep on her couch. And when Brooke reacts negatively to this outcome, she will be the one who looks wrong and insecure because Taylor didn't actually do anything and nothing actually happened. This situation would work better if the Bad Girl was also the Other Woman and instead taking advantage of the situation (and Ridge's protectiveness) to drive a wedge between him and his "wife."

I think what also prevents Brooke from taking the Good Girl role, is the simultaneous glaring negative impact of her poor mothering skills, as Steph correctly pointed out yesterday.
To the average viewer, the plot appears simple, but your analysis really does show that the writers must have put a lot of thought into each scene. I like reading your evaluation of each episode.

Brooke is getting a taste of her own medicine. Good. She never gave Ridge and Taylor a chance when they were married and now it's coming back to her. Karma. And she looks just awful in these episodes. Her terribleness on the inside is showing on the outside.

FULL EPISODE 2109 These episodes are from 1995. Why do I have to wait for a new episode every day here on CZcams? Since they are from 1995, I will never finish the entire series as long as I live with only one episode per day.
Folks saying that Taylor bored Ridge to sleep clearly don't understand mature, adult relationships. Taylor has always had the ability to make Ridge feel safe and secure.
Even we the viewers feel calmer with Taylor. Brooke is a whirling dervish of drama.

We have never seen Dylan drawing anything.
According to the Department of Labor Inflation calculator, $10K in 1995 is $21K now. That's a nice chunk of change for a college student.

Taylor returns once again but this time things go downhill for her.

Well things have really come full circle. The fact that someone said Taylor is still winning is ridiculous because we all know who eventually Ridge ends up with. He had other chances to stay with Taylor but he left her at the alter to be with Brooke after the lie he was told that Brooke slept with his son. Even when he was married to Taylor at the beginning of their relationship he was always thinking about Brooke❤ and why didnt goody two shoes Taylor not wake him up and send him home knowing Brooke was waiting for him maybe she isn't such an angle afterall .😮
