  • While shopping at an outdoor market, young reporter Tintin (Jamie Bell), accompanied by his faithful dog, Snowy, buys a model of an old ship called the Unicorn. A shady character named Sakharine (Daniel Craig) and later an American named Barnaby (Joe Starr) try to buy the model from him, but Tintin refuses. The lad discovers that the ship contains a clue about a hidden treasure, but before he can locate it, Tintin is kidnapped and given over to the custody of drunken Capt. Haddock

I believe that the Unicorn (the triple mastered french ship with 50 64-inch guns, and doubledecks) is inspired by the Brilliant (the same ship with same details as the unicorn).
My inspiration from Tintin's unicorn is called the Temperance as the replacement of the Megatooth class battleships, but raided by the koopa army and left the failed prototype ship behind in the orbit of Rakata Prime.

      Page 58. The pirates defeated.
AFTER FLOURISHING FOR 5,000 years, organized piracy and privateering finally ended in the 19th century. When the century began, privateers were still a dangerous nuisance - yet the navies of big maritime powers no longer needed the help of privately owned warships.
So in 1856 most maritime nations signed a treaty, the Declaration of Paris, banning letters of marque.
New Technology also helped to end piracy. The 19th century was the age of steam power, and the British and U.S. navies built steam ships that could sail almost anywhere, even on a windless day.
Pirates, who still relied on sail, were easily trapped by the steamers.
By 1850 only small pirate bands were left.
