I tried the Nero 1 program on sunday and 2nd target was a shortcross penny. I really enjoyed using it; easy on the ears and you can't miss those 'dig me' sounds. Thanks Gary.

Nicely demonstrated Gar, Nero 1 & 2 really stops you in your tracks just as Steve says. This should help new comers to the Deus given its a dig or not dig tone, for the more experienced users that like using 3 tones and above why not try it out and see how you get on it mite suprise you. 😉

We have a site where we’ve located Browne Age penannular gold rings and are convinced there are more below the surface. Even on an air test the machines struggle to pick them up unless they’re within about 4 inches of the coil. Is there a particular program or frequency that’s best for gold objects? Thanks in advance 👍🏽

Try the Goldfield program with low iAR, something around 3, but be prepared to dig a little iron.

I’m new to the deus 2, I am struggling to find/ load the Nero program that Steve is using
Many thanks Gary for this program. My first time using it and I found my first hammered, a Lizzie 1 Tower in a mint condition. I'm very new to this so I was buzzing finding it! One thing I did notice was it would give a false reading on deep iron, a number in the 70s high pitch, any tips with this.

Hi Gary, great video and we’ll definitely give that higher tone a try. We’ve both got Deus 2 and was wondering what settings are best to here a good target between the iron as you’d know the iron often gives out a high tone at the edges? Thanks

Thank you Gary but I can't see what a slice change of tones in a standard programm should make a huge difference , I rather would see that the problems with the D2 would be solved by bringing out a new update, who is long overdue in my uppinion. Gr. M
Please try the tone change yourself
Try it as Gary said. Sometimes slight changes can make quite a difference 😉. It's just another tweak to the D2 settings that tends to stop you in your tracks. Might not suit everyone granted but others will be converted. As for updates if its needed I'm sure XP is on the case, be patient my friend.
Thank you for the effort, perhaps this works for newbies not for experienced users, there has to be more for a detector of 1600 Euro's, I don't see many advantages vs. The Deus 1 certainly not in depth in and amongst iron. Therefore in my upinion there is just one possibility to make the Deus 2 a winner, come with a new update that brings some good advantages against the Deus 1. Because in the moment there are almost non that rectify those 1600 Euro's.
Should the notch be on at 00-00 to eliminate halos?

The general program has it built in, with deep HC you can notch around 22-23 in wet ground.

I dig alot on coke hot rock locations tend to vdi at 25-35 .. how best to dreal with that as i dont really wanna hear them as high... Can i increase the first tone threshold to 35 ?
If the problem is really bad it may be a good idea.
But: You will get the same high tone for large or spheric iron items.

Hi Gary's, I am interested in your opinion on so called GER detectors like Vogel qz 80, Klayzer màx, Golden Way... or USA machine Gold Stinger x5.? I only know that they are very expensive machines. The only thing I could buy is Golden Way. it costs one Deus. I don't see any depth tests on small objects, like money, they only test larger objects! what is your opinion considering that they can go up to 3 meters in depth, unlike the brands known to us, which go up to two meters. I'm interested in their coin depth? would you like a test if they are available to you?
Never heard of them, my advice would be to stick with the top 3 well known manufacturers.

Gary, you could work out a user setting for the Ukrainians that would make it easier to detect anti-personnel mines.

@@The-skillschool I just thought that anti-personnel mines contain very little metallic material and can therefore be difficult to locate.
Understood, the GF mode is quite sensitive, sorry I can't help more.
@@The-skillschool Yes, then it should work. Some samples of these mines, of course without explosives, would be very useful to optimally set up the detector. Have a nice weekend.

Why not just use. The pitch tone with a notch?
It's an option but some prefer a traditional bleep style tone.
