that was kinda heartwarming.. everyone there was so psyched for him
i've been following these jetpack guys for a while. i've also seen adam savage's and hacksmith's try at this.
i can also tell that when ren hovered on first try (and even better on the 2nd), their reaction was genuine and i was pretty shocked as well lol
Dude, I was psyched for Wren from this side of the screen. It's what Wren said, "It is every kids dream to fly with a jetpack". He just fulfilled our dreams for us. I hope he gets the Gold Coin in the future.
better than every other content creator I've seen try the Gravity machine... with his black belt in onewheeling I think Wren's first attempts on Franky Zapata's hoverboard would be even more impressive.
@Gary Oak What comment did YOU read? Who said people aren't expected to get hyped up? Sounds like you need some personal reflection.
@Gary Oak So far 1100 other people found it heartwarming too. If being given a special invite to fly a rare jetpack AND nail it first try AND gain the admiration of the developers of said jetpack AND be invited back is regular human interaction.... Then I want to move to where you live.
Wren's natural balance kicking in
all those times with the onewheel paid off
Training arcs hype
BlamingHoLiC And it fits so well with his small speech in the beginning
Considering that, in that clip near the end, one of them both easily rode the OneWheel and took flight from riding it, I'd say Wren had some qualified practice to get to this.
He also has an engineering degree. Can't imagine that didn't help him understand the effects of the different forces
When Wren smiles, the whole world smiles with him.
Yeah men
Yup
So true
Couldn't have said it better
FACTS
It's just impossible to hate Wren, such a likeable guy.
Wren: Currently flying
Jake: makes a sponsored segment about wren's death..
Wren isn't flying. He's in ground effect.
Smellr must of not worked out.
Haha I usually just skin ahead whenever Jake pops up, he's a walking ad break
This is nuts though, I'd heard of these guys before I didn't know they were in Camarillo..??
That's a half hour south of me haha, in between them in LA and me in santa barbara
I doubt they'd let me fly it though
Lab Play yeah just in case you know
JAke sucks lol
I love how Wren is like a kid on Christmas morning in literally every video.

Wren is now the office Ironman. He's even got the medals to prove it.
The jetpack developers should borrow a jetpack to Corridor for a Ironman impersonator olympics, that would be sick
Paulo Torres they’d never do that
Look up the first episode of Savage Builds
Adam Savage makes a titanium iron Man suit and then adds this contraption to it. So I think he gets that honor
Also hacksmith did something cool with it
Wren is Corridor’s Office Iron Man, no competition needed.
clint would still challenge that
*makes attack drone
The only channel nice enough to give you an exact length of the sponsor segment, and the only channel where you don't ever want to skip it lol

Is your name that of a character from 'The Watchers' novel?
@@ashishhembrom3905 I was about to say. Internet historian's ads are great.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how Jake's sponsored segments are creative and fun. Today's was dark, but it was pretty entertaining. Keep up the great work guys.
hes also a lawyer. so... a death has to be taken into consideration.
He was like _just in case_
"So theres no real use, so i made them look as sci fi if i can." Sounds good to me
I wish I could be half as excited at something as Wren is with everything lol he's like a dog in a man's body
So true
But in a good way.
He's acting a lot though.
But he is a giant cat
he just overreacts
My wife: what are you watching? Why are you smiling so much
Me: Watching Wrens excitement in this video
I was also smiling wide lol. You can feel his excitement.. And it helps when you share the same dream as him. Doing this would make my year haha
Wren represents our inner child. Thats why I like him so much
Whatever you're paying Wren isn't enough, he's a content god.
I want a whole series of Wren just going around being enthusiastic about things.

Wren getting a hover on his second try is truly astounding. And his face when he got handed those medals was absolutely priceless. You'd think he won the Olympics or something.
Those coins may actually be rarer than Olympic medals.
@@JD2jr. Considering the amount of medals that have been handed over the years, you'd be right
Well he does have an engineering degree. Not that astounding that he understands vectors
One day, jet pack flying will be an Olympic sport.
He won the olympics in our hearts.
Wren : i'm going to be the first to hover today
me : heh that's what everybody says
Wren : HOVERS
All the staff: *surprised pikachu

"I'm on a squishy Cloud!" I died of adorableness! He sounded like a kid! :-)
That look of surprise, amazement and total bliss when he realizes that he is actually flying is just great.
It’s almost ironic that a _VFX artist_ is flying a _real jet pack_
More like jet gloves

Nathan Dust _almost_ ironic, but yes, it is not true irony
Ok, that shot of him taking off while riding a one-wheel was pretty rad.

Might wanna hide the fuel canister..
those challenge coins at the end was such an amazing surprise. those dudes are so genuine and great, this was a great thing to see

The thing I noticed with this video and Clint's video about being lit on fire, is that they are in the "zone". True passions and interests being displayed and their reactions towards them. Clint was vulnerable, and it showed, but it was the adrenaline pushing him forward. A unique experience waiting for him. Wren is a nerdy cool guy, and pursuing that goal of hovering shows the euphoria that everyone looks for.
I smiled so much through this. The pure joy on Wren's face was so wholesome! 😂
Seeing Wren fly is like a child achieving his dream, and it’s just so wholesome!
When you've had a dream since you were a child, and you're finally able to experience even a shred of it, it brings out the child in you!
As soon as I saw them hand the coins to wren, I instantly thought “don’t bite them” 😂
I bet he still did later when the cameras weren't on.
Wrens part of the reason I got a onewheel, the dude has infectious enthusiasm for life and its really refreshing.
Man it always puts smile on my face to see Wren succeeding and accomplish things. He is so genuine about everything, wish we had more Wrens in this world! Can definetely see the happiness and excitement in his eyes, good job! :)
Me: "Hmm I wonder when Corridor will upload a new video. I bet it's a stuntman review series episode."
*notification*
Corridor Crew: "FLYING A REAL IRON MAN JETPACK TODAY."
Speedway Jones yeah you just never know with these guys 😂❤️
0:17 This man just became Vsauce 4 with that style of presentation
I don't normally watch vlog channels, but if Wren had one, I'd be watching every day. He's just the best.
I love how nerdy you guys are about movies, SFX and filmmaking, and I follow you for that reason, but this video is just wholesome.
"I just saw my life flash before my eyes"
Fucking love this guy.
I absolutely adore the react series, but it's nice to get a bit more of the good old "adventure" / life at the studio videos lately :)
Olivier Definitely
Yeah.. really happy whenever a non-react video gets posted. They're way more fun and entertaining imo. Stopped watching the react series since a few months ago.
I enjoy anything they post, its rare, but I feel like a little kid getting their hands on the cookie jar when anything they make comes out.
Wren's just a big kid and it's just so sweet and adorable
The moment he took off, a mix of joy and disbelief on his face.
Very cool and well done!!
What most amazes me about these is they’re real now, but like hoverboards, they were faked by cable work, special effects and cgi for decades, yet the real thing moves just like they’ve been faked to move for those decades, so kudos to those who imagined and faked them all those years, apparently they got it spot on!
what amazes me is people celebrating obviously bad design; relying on your upper body strength is really not smart. There are backpack versions of this where the engines are off your shoulders, and simply your weight makes it stable. It does not rely on strength. You could be knocked out cold and the thing could be programmed to land safely... the Iron-man version however, if you can't keep your arms rigid enough, you dead.
@@abates3747 The issue I'd imagine with that design is it would be harder to maneuver.
@@abates3747 The backpack ones fly more like jet, while this is designed to hover. The only videos I have seen either have them a few feet off the ground or over water. Though neither design is likely to go beyond recreation.
Hook the OneWheel onto your shoes and you got a hoverboard to go xD
@@abates3747 bullshit you are only need upperbody strength when you want to hover, but even then the backpack still got you flying doesnt need it cause on that you only need enough power to steer on the arms. Also if wren could manage it a better built man with shoulder back muscles well developed in some everyday physical work would do it easily. No offense on Wren, he is very agile.
Wren has gained a lot of agility points in those years of one-wheeling
I got chills watching him lift off with that child like sense of wonder Wren brings to everything he does
This is me. A guy in Florida never having met anyone from Corridor before.. Being insanely happy for Wren getting to experience this AND do it like a boss.
Grats man
Knowing what Wren has been through this year with his dog made me even more happy for him. He deserved this. Love Wren's energy and what he brings to the crew.

Wren’s videos are awesome-literally. His enthusiasm and wonder are inspiring.
This jetpack flying footage has that vibe that it'll be used in future documentaries. This is the roots of something big to come.
Definitely not. It's not a viable thing in any sense, they even say it on-camera. Just another luxury experience, not that it is a bad thing! It just will never be "normal" or "popular" in any format, too many risks involved.

Wren's one wheel experience helped a lot in this, Congrats!
That looks like one of the coolest things a person can do in a life time.
Wren’s ultimate life challenges include flying with a jetpack and doing a TED talk.
I've never been more Excited for a person I don't know. As strange as it sounds I was Cheering for Wren as I was watching the video. Genuinely proud to see him earn his coins.
First off, holy crap Wren!! That was incredible!! And now I’m totally jealous of those challenge coins lol. My dad has a HUGE collection of them from his time in the Navy.
But what I want to touch on is this; this is a REAL device that lets you cancel gravity on a personal basis. A single person can put this on and cut their tether to earth.
Think about computers. Back in the 40s, it took a machine that was the size of a 15x15 room to get 5 megabytes of storage. Now we have chips the size of your pinky nail that can hold 128 GIGABYTES
Hell, we have devices (probably in your hand right now) that can display colored, moving images in sync with sound that is being produced at the same time from the same device. And you interact with it through a sheet of glass that RECOGNIZES THE PRESSURE OF YOUR FINGERTIPS.
What I’m trying to say is that technology advances rapidly. Computers go from a room sized behemoth to something barely bigger and heavier than a credit card. So just think where THIS will be in 60, 70, 100 years. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that a TRUE Iron Man setup for flight can and will come around.
I'm always so damn happy when I see Wren doing this kind of things. I love him as a person he is such a great human being. Keep going like this Wren!
This video reminded me of why I love Corridor Crew. With all those honestly low effort react videos you're making us forget how amazing the crew is (and by the looks of it, wasting Dean's potential as an editor. Sure, this is still a vlog, but the style it is presented in is extremely refreshing).
The joy on Wren's face is so pure. Love this!
Boy, I absolut love the kindness and just joyfulness that Wren brings everywhere. It's amazing to see this pure and genuine excitement but also the ambition and expertise in one person!
The title of this video will make this go in everyone’s recommended in 3 months
