Eric Clapton wrote a great autobiography too. And as I recall he really bared his soul in it. Becos it was written long after his terrible struggle with addiction was over. And long after he lost his son Conor in that horrific accident. I got the impression he’s very humble today. And grateful for his life and recovery.
We named our only daughter Layla, after his song, in 1991. She was a true beauty and very smart. She passed away at age 20, on Oct. 16, 2011. Layla Kate 9/12/91-10/16/11. 💜
Hurtwood Edge is very beautiful, but I think Friar Park is magical!

Friar Park is George’s place as is a few more 30 miles away !! I never knew that George wrote “ Here Comes the Sun” in Eric’s garden , how cool is that !!!! The house itself is amazing , tile roof , stone paved over house and so much more that I’d love to see !!! Between the beautiful house, guitars ,amazing property and view , this is fantastic !! I love seeing all the different styles and colors of the house!! Nothing like a pop star that has a great big house to make me happy, I just like to see their inside and outside and a big garden !!! Thank you Scott , I loved seeing this with Eric and his home !! Very cool !!!

I read his ex wife Patti Boyd’s autobiography called wonderful today. It gives an amazing insight insight into what life was like at Clapton’s mansion in the era she was married to him.And before. Becos Clapton was often at Friar Park too. Visiting Patti and George Harrison. Patti Boyd is amazing to me . She married both George Harrison and Eric Clapton. What a life.
