How to charge your 48v system with 24v charge controllers? Is it even possible and will it work?

    Reconnected my small system....
    Was:
Pure 24V system. with 2 sets of 2x12V batteries series combined all + and all - to the bus-bar. Both charge controllers are also 24V, they were connected to that same bus bar. The load transfer battery grid-tie inverter was also picking up the + and - from that same bus bar... Bus bars in this case worked perfectly as a passive balancer.
It all worked just fine, however, the issue was that the grid-tie inverter could not pick more than 153 watts instantly, that is why the system was always charged, and I was simply not capturing the power.
    Now became:
Hybrid 48/24V system. All the batteries are 4x12v in series, forming a 48V system, and now the grid--tie inverter works in a so much better mode, where is it able to take way more power from the battery bank, up to 1600 watts I was already able to witness.
However, the tricky part is that charge controllers are still 24V ones... So I am using them to charge pairs of batteries. The first pair is charged by one controller, and the second pair is charged by another controller.
The only thing this system is currently missing - is the active balancer, it will be added in about a month, once it arrives at my place.
So far so good, all works perfectly, and exactly as I want.

Yeah. Long as you careful, there's nothing wrong with adding or using power from one or more of the batteries that are connected in series with other batteries. Just have to make sure none of the batteries goes above or below it's safe voltage range.

yep. the balancer has arrived today, so I am going to pick it up form the post machine, and will likely mount it some next days. it will rearrange the voltage to be 100% equal.
so far after a couple of weeks, there is a 0.04v of disbalance between the highest and the lowest 12V banks.

Is such thing even possible to do? Charge and discharge simultaneously without manually switching connections? I know that charging and discharging seperatly by managing the series link in the middle of the batteries allows the charge and discharge but it needs to be one at the time, it can't be both simultaneously.

      well, it works )
      for several consecutive months already

@@ModernUkrainianHomestead sorry, I meant without charge controllers. Both rectifiers go to the same wind turbine. In your case the controllers are connected to each painel or turbine, meaning that the controllers are isolated from the input side. In my case the input AC side of the rectifiers are shared in parallel.

Hello mate, I have 1 wind turbine connected to 2 rectifiers. The objective is to charge my batteries at 24v and discharge at 48v through an inverter. Each battery pack is connected to each rectifier. The rectifiers are sharing the AC line from the turbine. For some reason i see 24v on the dc line of rectifier 1, even when all positive terminals are disconected on both rectifiers.
Strangely there is 24v between both negative terminals of the rectifiers, meaning that the electricity is flowing through the negative wires of the batteries, this happens when I put the batteries in series. If i disconnect the series link in the middle of the battery, there is no issue. Any idea what might be happening?

that's ok. in the middle of the 24V series it's the current that flows over 48V circuit.

How can i send you an email? I need to describe better the scenario that I'm talking about. It's not feasible doing it through the comments section. Diagrams and stuff...
