I'm currently on my path to becoming a cloud engineer for Google. One thing I would add is to get a Linux certification. Once you understand Linux you understand so many aspects of the cloud and it becomes way easier to understand new concepts and technologies because most of them are run in a Linux kernel environment. It provides a great foundation.
Hi Duran, which linux certification do you recommend
@@kelvinubezuo Learning doesn't mean that you've to always get a cert. Focus on right certs.
Learn Linux and get Azure/AWS certs based on the demand and where you live.
I'm about to emback on this career path. Please can you recommend training platform?
Did you a get a bachelor's degree first in software or computer science ?
Bro, you need three years to master Linux and get certified :)

If you hold CCNA, CCNP or CCIE you don't have to attend the VMware in person class and can sit the VCP-NV exam by sending proof to VMware, although this is not the case for other VCP tracks.
one must hold 1 of 3? or all3?

Where do you take this test đ€ plz show me ur ways and did you get job yet?
Im fresh out of college with a network technology degree but i have no certs or work experience. I wanna get my AWS cloud practitioner cert but should I get my comp-tia certs first ?
@@quickstrike2111 Hey. I hope you're well....
Did you figure it out Sir?
Don't remember anyone else getting this specific in certs in regards to becoming a cloud engineer. VMware VCP-NV: intriguing. 7:43
Gaining the overall cloud knowledge (not the exam) 9:00, and then both providers' (exam) 9:08, etc.
Is it a good plan?
@@DallasFort1857 at the very least, it's not bad...at all. Actually, I would personally recommend it! It's (one of) the best I've ever heard so far. I also heard someone else with superior experience describe a similar path but with cloud architects instead.
The main idea of paths like these is to be even more razor/laser focus towards that particular role and not put too much attention or emphasis with all that extra fluff. The extra fluffs are generally distractions (or distractors if you will), time wasters, & provide minimal ROI (Return On Investment). But with this plan, now you will be able to focus more on what actually matters; being more efficient with your time and productive with your efforts among other things.
Of course, it would also depend on your capability to absorb the knowledge and ability of your experiences along the way as well. Assuming that's the path you're actually going for.
@@KenSherman Does a bachelor in IT networking a good foundation to become a cloud architect?
@@DallasFort1857 For that career path, I would have to refer you to the other guy I referenced about. And his name is Mike Gibbs. As a matter of fact, he should be going live soon and he releases TONS of content on the regular so it should be easy to catch him on CZcams. You can tell him I sent you. Spoke with him on numerous occasions myself. And he knows I don't sugar coat or shy away from asking him certain questions either. And I think he knows I'm also not a rookie to IT in general either. Let's say we've had long & interesting discussions. đ
I usually don't recommend people to others, but if I had to choose one it would be him for cloud architect roles in particular. He is part of GoCloud architects or go cloud careers and also has a degree (but I don't remember in what though...he either has a doctorate or he's a doctor, however, with about 26 years of experience in IT).
I could answer your question, but I think that it is best to hear it from him or them to gain your own perspective.
@@KenSherman I know exactly who you speak of that guy is a God LOL.. I plan to utilize his program after I've obtained all my certification and education to go to him with knowledge instead of a rookie... for now I'm just debating if I should do the WGU degree program that focus particularly in Cloud engineering or I can go the network engineering route and obtain the degree in person versus online like wgus which is their only downside to me

Any reason to not do GCP and market yourself with a more unique skillset where the competition is lower. Yes there is more market share with AWS/Azure but there's also more people with those certs. GCP is going to take over, it is better but just late to the party. With Big data and ML I can't see why there wouldn't be steady wave of cloud professionals and orgs moving to GCP and it's market share doubling or tripling in 5 years.
How did that go? Considering doing the same

If Iâm a Sr Cloud Engineer with Leidos on contract with the IRS, how much should I be getting paid?
It depends on the company, the country etc. But Leidos is publicly traded I wouldn't expect you to get anything below U$50k.
You better get a contract with 80K donât u dare get less Hunty
Jorge, please give me your opinion on this. I am currently a Support & Implementation Engineer at a software company. I have learned a lot and continue to learn a lot in my role. I have been in this role for about a year now. I don't have any certificates just yet but I plan to follow this path. Please tell me, is my current position beneficial for my future? Can I count it as IT experience even though it is not necessarily CCNA/Azure or AWS heavy?
Can I get network+ cert instead of CCNA?
đ yes.
Do you know where I can get training for the VMware certification?
Udemy
Where is the PDF?
Great insights, I want to know about Huawei Certifications is it worth it or not?
Depending on the job that you want and ONLY if they are necessary for the job, if not, that's no point ;)

Do i need any university degree to start my journey on becoming a cloud engineer?
No , you absolutely don't need any college / university degree
What are the high paid skills?
There are many. But you need only few to succeed. One is Storytelling
Hi Im a network security engineer with checkpoint firewall and Cisco CCNA certifications with 4 years experience. I want to move or shift to cloud field. I am choosing AWS. Do I need to take vmware cert probably NV?
I wouldnât focus much on it. AWS uses Xen and Nitro for their EC2s but are partnered with VMware. Youâd have to find an org that specifically wants to use VMware on the AWS stack or who is migrating from VMware to AWS at some point. You would have to establish a separate contract with VMware in order to use their services within AWS. Had to translate this same knowledge to my colleagues who wanted to use a Cisco StealthWatch vFlowSensor OVA on AWS instead of just importing it to an AMI. Even with that I donât recommend because you can use S3 to parse logs or mirrored traffic which is vxlan encapsulated instead of a flowsensor. Iâm rambling, apologies.
It is better introduce yourself first before teaching other about how to become cloud engineer
I will keep that in mind
Im a paperworker, i want to become a aws engineer! Im out of my mind

Hahahahh is not as easy my friend, a company that is hiring cloud engineers always looks for years of experience, and a senior engineer should have at last 7 years of experience , 1 year of experience is nothing, you wonât get a job that offers $37/hr just having 1 year of experience
