That's exactly how I started learning French, one word per day, then two words per day and so on. I had told myself, " I will never learn this language in my life" when I cracked opened a French/English dictionary back in high school". However, now I'm practically fluent and I've gotten so good at listening , is like working out to stay in shape, the results come in months or years, but you keep it up because you know you're getting there. Above all, a genuine interest and passion are important. Merci beaucoup!
I’m French dude and your French accent is outstanding 😇
Unfortunately in my country it is extremely rare to meet a french speaking person. I learn many french words by reading a lot ,listening to tv. And watching french movies. My goal is to be able to read French classical works, such as camus, victor hugo, maupassant etc.
Me too! Voltaire here I come!
Hello I'm frech and I'm learning English, if you want we can meet us to improve each other 😉

This is so true. I've been studying French for 4 years (intensively) i still can't speak 😂😂.
I never have spoken French in my life 🤣🤣but i understand 99%, and my passive vocabulary is sky rocketing. Without practicing, speaking it's so hard to learn a language.
I've started journaling in French but I can't make up stories, so I translate songs instead. Thank you for the tips!
Hey, I have recently started learning French, and I think learning through songs is a great way. So, could you please explain a bit about your method? Thank you! :)
I started journaling too but instead of making up stories, I just write the things that happen in my day so that might be an additional idea
Translate songs. I used to do it with English and I love it.
@@cassigio2692 Good idea as well.
@@akshitpareek849 I also try to learn through songs. It's just about translating each words and phrases to your language or to english if its easier.
Then a good way to practise to sing it everywhere alone, for example in car. First time better with watching lyrics, later you can do without it. And shortly you can understand what you are saying too.
I don’t study French but I agree with her , her point is very correct .
Is that your real first name? Witt is German or Hungarian I have never seen it as part of a first name :)
@@isla4953 In what kinda universe is Witt german?
@@JoeMama-io5fz It is German.
I feel like one of the best way to educate you ear is video books, songs, and reading. I struggled with English since 1997, in 2005 I moved to USA but I was still struggling in confidence to pronounce things. In 2019 I started ESL in my community college which it led me into reading a lot of books, listening to music, TV and or kindle book which are books with audio sound. Ever since I followed my professor advice I started gaining confidence when I speak... Remember lesson for life when it comes to learn languages. Currently I am learning French 🇫🇷 ❤️. This is my third language, counting my native language.
Love your advice about learning phrases. I’ve been doing Duolingo for 2 years and have learned some French, but learning phrases in just three weeks allowed me to ask for a macaron at a farmers market.
“Verified” was good and is partially synonymous with “corrected”
Those were some amazing tips! Thank you so much, that was honestly very helpful especially the aspect of looking at things long term. At least 1 word a day and you WILL make progress
Sounds pretty much what I tell my students of music theory. Practice, practice, practice. Say it. Play it. Write it and do it again over and over. Love your way of teaching. Bravo.
Instead of writing random words down I think writing an essay about a topic(after reading about this topic) we are interested in is much more useful. And reading things aloud is useful too.
Merci beaucoup pour votre vidéo ! Je viens de Hong Kong ! I think the strategy you advise is inspiring and it applies to all other languages apart from French.
Mon plaisir! Vous avez absolument raison
@@french.pronunciation Avec plaisir :P
So very true, more words do not mean greater understanding of the language.
Excellent video! This is exactly my problem. I know many words in French but I have difficulty being comfortable putting them together into a conversation! This sounds like just the technique!
As a native speaker french I have been learning English for 6 month ago.
It's still difficult for me to speak and to understand oral English. Your method to learn French is excellent and I 'm going to try to apply it to learn English. Thanks for this video. If I have make mistakes on writing, thanks to tell me about it
Can you sumarise it?
Hey, your English is pretty good! Funny enough, I'm native english learning French haha!
Here's the corrected version. I've bolded all mistakes.

Your mistakes are minor, other than the messed up past tense. Keep practicing and you'll get there! I believe in you!
@@Avighna thanks a lot for correcting my mistakes 😅, have a good day and if you want to learn french, we keep in touch if you want 😅
I loved your english pronunciation, it helps a lot to get the ideias
I understand when somebody talks in french and almost understand everything when I read as well, but I can't speak in french nor write, I would truly like if you make a courses about the most common sentences or something like that idk, but thanks for your efforts anyway! !
I can read, speak and also writing is ok. But listening to a movie, TV or a French speaker is very hard for me.

Thanks for your video. I have been learning french myself for a bit over a year and your video has made me confident I'm learning correctly. I learn a new word that I can use in sentences and then in my mind during the day I make up lots of different sentences with that word. Thanks

Maybe, watch French Documentaries to tap into the everyday conversation of French people. French is my mother tongue but I live in an English speaking environment so I need to make a conscious effort to maintain my French.
Merci👃c'est très utile !
J'espère que le prochaine you tube sera en français
I don't study words for the sake of it. I study them because I want to understand French literature.

We do not have to know all the vocabulary even in our home language.
Reading all kind of written materials is another way to get an expanded vocabulary.

Je l'adore! I have been studying steadily for well over 2 years, but still not confident. One trick I use is just talking to myself about my day. Like narrating your actions.

Primer video que veo que dan buenos consejos para ser fluido en un idioma sin seguir la regla de los demas youtuber que son repetitivos y con la misma historia de siempre, realmente me saco de algunas dudas.
Me encanta este video. Super útil!.
Thanks so much for your suggestions. One of the things that I’ve done frequently over the years is to think about the phrases/sentences and words I use commonly in my day-to-day English language and translate them into French.
This video has an affect validated what I’ve been doing and that’s very helpful I never knew really whether that would be affective or not it seems to be more or less. But that you have suggested it as additional motivation for me to continue more fervently to do that.
I do the same. We moved to Paris when my wife was accepted to a university here and so _suddenly_ we needed to learn French. Whenever I think about somewhere I need to go, I think about what I might say to people there. I look those phrases up, practice them a couple of times, and if I forget under pressure No Problem! I just open the translator on my phone and show the person the translation. If they see that and understand, I think it might be my pronunciation so I ask them to say that phrase, then I repeat it, exactly, like a maniac. XD
It gets some funny responses but I have never, _not once,_ been ridiculed for trying. I think it brings some amusement into people's days if nothing else.
Also, are you a native speaker of English? I hope you won't mind a suggestion - the way you are using "affect" is a little unusual. Normally a native speaker would use "effect", with an E. However, these two words are _very_ often confused by native speakers too, so it isn't a big deal.
@@LabGecko correct, “affect” is a verb, “effect “ is a noun. As for the usage you referred to above, that was probably auto-correct while using VR (voice recognition) technology. When on my phone I use VR rather than « typing ».
@@burrillgray4812 effect can also be a verb. Apologies for any offense. That was not my intent.
@@LabGecko I was just responding to your comment.
Le temps de pratiquer. Merci pour les conseil prof.

So happy to hear that!
Same case here. I am learning french now but the fear to speak cripples me, but after watching this video, I am gaining confidence.
Very helpful. Thanks 🙏🏽
Thank you so much!
If you stick with the 10,000 frequency list (most common vocabulary), at intermediate level in a five hour study you'll see the tough ones (towards the end of the list) pop up all the time. You badly need these 10,000... But not everybody can dedicate the hours every day. Not only in French of course, people working about a language with just 5,000 are destitute. One other motive (among many others), with these 10,000 as a basis you can start tackling the idioms.
Salute! Merci pour cette video!!☺️ idek if i said that right but yeah
Your a very inspiring person bless you. !
I started to create my own sentences in French with words I still don't know. Also to find and write song lyrics.

Salut à tous:) Où est le lien pour le guide. Pardon, je suis un peu perdu😅
Merci beaucoup ❤️
Km just saying, you will learn WAY more vocabulary and remember it better if you learn words in context. Because you will be able to see how that word is used in actual language instead of on its own. also, you learn some of the words around it, so not only do you learn the word your studying AND how to use it, you’re learning other words too
good ideas but also make a flash card for each new word with a phrase or sentence including it with translation to your native tongue on the back.
Where is the guide that you mention at the end of the video? Is it a PDF or a video? (I see the video "How to sound French / French Prononciation tips" - is that it?
Do you suggest some apps or dictionary to learn vocabularies?
In the video above you mentioned about some guide
Could you please send the link!
