Not bad..I was worried because someone said they got 7k miles.. just put on 555r2's for my 580whp bmw m4, great traction compared to Michelin pilot sport 4s' and the Michelin's are AMAZING tires, and I got 25k miles out of them. Wish they made the 555r2s with more tread depth.
Love the R2 probably the best tire out for the price. I have a 295 and have no issue hooking with my 6.1.
I changed mine up, just ran 22000 out of them. The tire life is more for the drag strip then everyday drivers.

Is it safe to drive in the rain with the R2s? I currently got G2s on my scat and they don't hook for anything.

As long as there is no ice or snow you'll be fine. If it's just wet roads you'll be fine but be careful.
