This Swivel seat is a game changer for a small van conversion, opening up the cab area and making tit work harder when in camping mode. I'm super pleased with how it turned out, but a little bummed that the driver's seat couldn't be done at this time. In the future when the van is older - I will be doing this, bt for now I'm happy enough with the one being upgraded. Enjoy peeps!

Great video, if only I had watched it yesterday as I made the mistake of not realising the seat can lift up to clear the plastic on the sides. I did take a multi tool and made mods to one side! 😢

That was alot of work
The swivel seat doesn't need to lock into place when facing the rear, which should only be when the van is stationary. It's designed that way to allow you to angle yourself at a table more comfortably, or to face the sliding door to take in all the wonderful scenery you will discover on your adventures.

we have really looking forward to the swivel seat build. You have explained fitting really well. Shame about the drivers side. 😒 How do you find sitting with the swivel attached. we are both short legged does your feet touch the ground....great video
Hey you two! The swivel seat addition has been so great so far! I would highly recommend it. Also I love how it freely swivels and can understand how it is this way now. It allows your seated position to be fluid depending on what table etc you're working with. If you have height adjusted seats, which you should do (as you couldn't fit the swivel without this feature) then you can pump the seat back down to suit your leg length. xx
Looking forward to following this build. Doing a transit custom myself and not a huge amount of content out there so looking forward to getting some tips and ideas 🙂

I think it really should lock in place, but as you only turn it around when stationary, I suppose it's ok 🤔 Perhaps a part missing?? Anyway, interesting video. Looking forward to the rest of the journey . . .
