I dont wanna click and spoil it for myself, but Im hearing that a LOT of the new weapons seem dex oriented? Gonna be pretty disappointed if thats the case. I went qualitu just in case something like this happened, but its sounding like going full dex would make more sense at this point.
there'll still probably be a good array of strength options, the main thing is that the weapons that the creators did get to use were dex oriented, and they didnt get to use too many of them so theres still a metric shit ton that we dont know, i hope this helps!
Miriam's Vanishing looked like its a short range blink to avoid attacks it might be backward blink or a directional blink its hard to tell with this footage
Its just based on whatever direction you move when you cast it. Pretty unique spell

Gift and a curse of being a content creator. But I’m happy to see you got to see rhis. But we all know Elden ring. We have a long road of secret tunnels, pathways and just sheer amount of stuff to find in the coming months. So I hope we all enjoy. This will be my first time playing when it drops. I bought Elden ring April and been addicted since.

Knights lightning spear looks great but since most of the spears wont hit smaller targets i hope it isn't super weak if only 1 manages to hit
they NEED to add a hoaroh loux aow for the beast claw, or a serosh type of beast claw with it built in

1:17 I hope that round shield has 100% physical blocking. I don't know why there's not a single round medium shield in ER with 100% physical reduction. Dozen of kite shields, but not a single round one. WTF, why? There's always at least one in previous games before.

They’ll probably be adjusting some pre existing incantations, spells, and weapons from the base game. On top of that, they will (obviously) be releasing future balance patches for things found in the DLC(items, weapons, incantations, spells, etc.). 😊

For everyone complaining about the Dex variety weapons shown thus far, understand the base game literally only gave dex users a handful of curved swords that are just as good on other builds, with the only dedicated good dex weapons are katanas and the Bloodhounds Fang. Now we Dex fans have a much wider variety. This isn't to say that the other weapon types won't be getting new weapons as well because they definitely will. There's gonna be over 100 new weapons, I strongly doubt any build will be starving for new weapons.
Also don't read beyond this point in the comment if you want to go into the DLC blind, as I'm going to discuss charm points of new weapons. So if you read further you'll be spoiled on new weapons a bit so just a warning.
I'm absurdly hyped for the backhand blades and their S dex scaling, as well as the perfume bottles. I never knew I needed perfume bottles until seeing them in action. Plus light greatswords are extremely attractive with the obvious example of Milady. Seeing new spells in Knights Lightning Spear as well as Gravity Missile. I'm overloaded I wanna try everything lmao. Good thing I've got 3 builds ready to use and a 4th in the works.

My biggest concern is, with all the things being added, of magic focused builds becoming redundant. They are effectively taking what make magic builds good and giving it to everybody else, but even better since those options don't seem to be limited by FP.
It's hard to tell because none of the people who tested the game seemed to know how to use magic and weren't really optimized. The teleportation spell could be interesting
No it's going to make magic better since you can use those weapons on your mage also.

@@edxlee Yeah, it's fun to a certain extent. Just going around on God mode seems kinda dope in this game. Honestly, I still get killed every now and then by certain enemies if I don't play my build correctly

I'm running a cold lance with ice spear and ordovis' great sword. The frost proc is ridiculous and and stun lock stagger from fully charged ordovis L2 is also ridiculous. I've got the dragon communion seal with crucible horn.

I was hoping the great katanas would have a poke R2 so I could have a similar moveset to the Grave Lord sword from DS1. I loved having a curved GS with a thrusting R2. I don't know why From never brought that moveset back on any other Curved GS again.
