The part in this scene that got me the most was actually the nurse’ gossiping, because it’s most relatable to real life, to me the gossiping represent the shallowness and everyday stuff that constantly distracting us from our higher consciousness, just like how the machines sucked human lives as their batteries in the story, and the victims didn’t even realize it. The athlete almost reached awakening but got set back by the agents, it’s almost like sometime we had our enlightened moment but later got distracted and never remembered to pick it back up. Here goes deeper, distractions don’t only mean gossiping, gaming or watching porn but also even something we consider most important and legit such as school, work, marriage and kids.. philosophically speaking those are all illusions, only thought itself is real, I think therefore I am. People in Matrix woke up and found themselves in Zion but who to guarantee Zion is real? I’m not saying we should all abandon our families, jobs and become a monk or something, I think we could keep them, just need to have our awareness open for higher consciousness and put that as priority.
This is so impactful. What I don’t understand is why he didn’t end up breaking free. He had already escaped the matrix through nothing but sheer willpower. Although his memory of escaping was expunged, his will for freedom still overcomes the matrix’s programs to the point that he broke gravity. So why didn’t he end up escaping when he was that close?
I see that only because he could wake up from the matrix is a great matter. Because the machines tried to build a perfect simulation, and just the fact that there is something wrong with it like a glitch of some sort, that is the embodiment of the one. Which is more emphasized when we learn that there were past versions of the matrix, all trying to be perfect but inevitably failing at it. Which is really interesting because we as humans know that no such thing is perfect, but for the machines it's different, because even though they can't imagine, they calculate to develop more and more. It's all really facinating that I really want to see more of it, just to know where exactly was the writer going.
He’s still learning how to fly, just like how babies need multiple attempts to walk properly to evolve from crawling. He’s learning how to go from running (crawling) to flying (walking), the same way a child would. Some people assume he failed to escape because he “fell” when he was about to fly, but to me, it looks more like he’s using his muscle memory from his training on how to run efficiently to get into a running stance, (which coincidentally looks like falling) like the one he used to win the race. He’s taking advantage of his muscle memory on how to run, and using it as a stepping stone on how to fly. That’s why he gets into that running stance at the end. Some people like Neo can do it on the first try, like how some people can play the violin really well on the first try. For others however, like this guy who might specialise in other areas, he needs a few more attempts to get to that level of skill. This isn’t an end or even a “failure” for him. It’s a beginning. Morpheus actually mentions this guy to Neo in the first movie.
Sublime !!!!
Awesome scene. I would have liked to seen more of the expanded Matrix universe. After Animatrix I had hope for a while that there would be more Matrix projects. But then nothing for 20 years and then a horrendous Matrix 4 movie that I wish was never made.
the best
For some reason, this video really resonates with me in 2024.
I really just want some of that cherry pie
This was incredible
Every time they try to hold us back
Beautiful jusr wow
Cool for the video, thank you.
Imagine being a nurse so chatty a dude in a wheelchair get up and try to run from you.
I like how the agents look like theyre wearing like 5 jackets
They look like they are a mixture of a therapist and straight jacket. Fitting given they want people to accept being controlled and the matrix.
best animatrix story of all
The only limits there are the ones he believes in
Damn woman, stop to take a breath!
