Wonderful to see this bike again in immaculate condition and in its original pale green colour scheme. When it was first marketed it was available with a matching-colour fairing which incorporated the headlamp and the protected the rider's legs.
Very nice bike. I`ve brought one 1960 250cc Royal Enfield today, to start the restoration. can you tell me the difference from a clipper and a crusader? I also brought a Ariel but I don't now the model or year... but I'm searching...ehehehe
Nice job ,sounds sweat, got a Continental deluxe 64 not as nice as yours but now its back on the road now after 38 years .see my vid let me know what you think cheers
you didn't by any chance buy this bike on ebay back in what I think would have been 2006 did you? it's just I sold my similar 250 crusader back then, although I remember it being a 1956 model. I know the guy was going to do it up. Be nice if it was the same bike!
Very rare colour and never seen such a cute bike ever before
Thank you very much. It's now in Enfields Foyer at Bruntingthorpe ☺

I bet the modern royal Enfield 350’s and 500 UCE engines are based on this 250 engine. They look the same. Any thoughts?
Sorry, I've no idea, but my friend Dean (in the video) might know as he works for Royal Enfield at Bruntingthorpe.
