Thank you Jessica, this is a good video. I have suffered with Agoraphobia for around 13 years, get panic attacks so bad. Can only walk a few houses up the road by myself, im basically house bound. I never applied for a blue badge before as people said I would never get one. But someone recently convinced me things have changed, the website says I qualify due to my PIPS, so have put in an application today. The reason im asking for a Blue Badge is for when I go out with my therapist, well when we are aloud out :(

Thank you, I'm really nervous because I don't have any obvious physical disability statement like a frame or wheelchair.
Tbh even if I get it, I will not use it unless I'm seriously struggling, on death door.
Because I know I will still not feel comfortable & I know some may need it more than me.
      Thank you for your video.
I wish you all the best x

I want to say thank you as well. I've just received my confirmation email, that my first blue badge has been ordered. It's such a relief! I've been putting it off for SIX years! (Stupid pride/fear of not getting it, I guess?)
Watched your video afterwards, to help it all sink in a bit. Thank you for sharing your experience ❤️

    Hi Jessica,
I just had a query as I am in the process of awaiting their response for my application. Can you park in permit holders parking which is timed 8.30 am to 6.30 pm with the blue badge ?

*Didn't you pay the £10 fee prior to its arrival?*

absolutely disgtusting that you have to go through this, if your a wheelchair user you should qualifiy without this assesment.

I applied for my Blue Badge online yesterday and got approved 24 hours later!!! Birmingham City Council... I thought they would take months and say no.

I've got pip from Feb I can't walk very far I get horrific pain and my skin on my feet and ankles splits and tears with every step and psoriatic arthritis they said when I went through I would be approved..maybe to do with pip points as they'd asked my scores. But we shall see I had enough with the pip assessment I do t think I'd go to one if I had to. I hate the fact people will look at me like wtf but I don't feel I should have to wear flipflops and crop pants for people to see what's wrong.

Hi, I work in the civil service, my colleague, runs, jumps , races around , chases staff , walks miles throughout the day and has a very active night shift routine , they have a blue badge. How and why... It's beyond me why they are never checked upon , after their initial issue. All the staff have witnessed this person displaying a full and healthy working day until it suits them to blag their supposed disabilities.

I applied under difficulties walking as i have some conditions, and also under, hidden disability.
One of my conditions is with low life expectancy.
They refused my application, and i had foreseen the assessor will do a biased decision against, so i recorded the entire process.
Needless to say he failed to point important info , and stated just the things that makes me ilegible .
I know recordings can only be for own use, but in case of court , this can be used against assessor and contradict his initial report and statement. Will have to go the long way i guess . 😔

i was a blue badge assessor and i wouldnt give one for that either - you, unlike an assessor have no idea about the level of disability of some people and since the number of spaces havent increased they must be protected from opening the floodgates with people who have a condition of discomfort.
