  • Copycat Texas Roadhouse Rolls & Cinnamon Honey Butter
    Ingredients
    1¼ C Milk
    2 ¼ tsp Yeast, or 1 packet
    ¼ C Honey
    1 tsp salt
    3 Tbsp. melted Butter, cooled
    1 large Egg
    4 cups all-purpose Flour
    Melted Butter for brushing
    Cinnamon Honey Butter Ingredients
    1/2 C (1 stick) Softened Butter
    ¼ C Powdered Sugar
    1 Tbsp. Honey
    1 tsp Cinnamon
    1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
    Directions
    1. Warm milk in microwave for 30-45 seconds until warm to the touch. NOT HOT!
    2. Add the milk, yeast, and honey to your mixing bowl. If using a stand mixer use the dough hook attachment. Let this sit for 5 to 10 minutes until the yeast is activated. It will become frothy/foamy.
    3. Now add the salt, egg, butter, and flour. Knead, either by hand, or with your stand mixer, until a smooth dough forms. About 8 minutes. Add additional flour if your dough is too sticky, a little at a time. Once your dough has come together, oil your bowl and dough and cover with a towel. Allow to rise in a warm spot for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
    4. Roll your dough out on a floured surface into a large rectangle. Fold the rectangle in half and press the seams together by rolling over it a few times. Cut your rolls and place on a cookie sheet. Cover and allow to rise for another half hour.
    5. Preheat oven to 350° while your rolls are rising.
    6. After the 30 minutes, bake for 12-15 minutes or until slightly golden. Remove from oven and brush the warm rolls with melted butter.
    7. Serve with Cinnamon Honey Butter!
To make the Cinnamon Honey Butter, mix all ingredients together until a smooth spread forms.

I’ve used this recipe twice, both times the rolls have come out perfect. This will definitely be one of my main recipes! Thank you for sharing this recipe.

I would like to know how to make the cream corn from Rudy’s barbecue. It is amazing, and I’ve tried several recipes but it’s just not the same.

I used to work at Texas Roadhouse as a waitress, we’d alternate cooking the dinner rolls & the cinnamon butter was pre made! Thanks for sharing this recipe with us!!

Before your video, I watched 4 other videos, and in everyone, they just took the butter straight from the fridge to bowl. Not a single one thought to use softened butter. I was like, why? And man, they struggled.

You never want salt to touch your yeast like that. Buffer with the flour u til you start mixing.

Taste like little Ceasars pizza crust. I made it and they look great but the flavor is missing.

My first time trying to make these rolls, you didn't mention what temp to bake them in or for how long 😮. I had to go to another video. Bummer

I am a very good vaker and bake only from scratch. I followed the recipe to the letter. These were more biscuits than rolls. They were not soft but rather hard. I have a dinner roll recipe that I've used for last 25 years which I'll try the cinnamon honey butter with but these rolls are no where near Texas Roadhouse rolls. Very disappointed.

Rolls turned out perfect, but the butter after about 20 minutes or so, the honey started to separate from the butter. No matter how much I mixed it back in, it would not combine again

Wow super disappointed with this recipe. I followed it to the letter and my rolls look just like yours but taste below average from any other roll I have ever consumed. Actually taste closer to a biscuit than a roll. I also had to bake them at least 8 minutes longer than your instructions which I was ok with because all of the other recipes I looked at baked them that long at that temperature. I would not recommend this recipe to anyone. Wasted over 2 hours.

I’m not here to bash or be disrespectful but I kinda agree with this comment. I am a decent baker myself, so I followed everything to a T and I still was underwhelmed with the taste, seems like its missing something… maybe adding more sugar and salt will solve that flavor issue idk
