- Copycat Texas Roadhouse Rolls & Cinnamon Honey Butter
Ingredients
1¼ C Milk
2 ¼ tsp Yeast, or 1 packet
¼ C Honey
1 tsp salt
3 Tbsp. melted Butter, cooled
1 large Egg
4 cups all-purpose Flour
Melted Butter for brushing
Cinnamon Honey Butter Ingredients
1/2 C (1 stick) Softened Butter
¼ C Powdered Sugar
1 Tbsp. Honey
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Directions
1. Warm milk in microwave for 30-45 seconds until warm to the touch. NOT HOT!
2. Add the milk, yeast, and honey to your mixing bowl. If using a stand mixer use the dough hook attachment. Let this sit for 5 to 10 minutes until the yeast is activated. It will become frothy/foamy.
3. Now add the salt, egg, butter, and flour. Knead, either by hand, or with your stand mixer, until a smooth dough forms. About 8 minutes. Add additional flour if your dough is too sticky, a little at a time. Once your dough has come together, oil your bowl and dough and cover with a towel. Allow to rise in a warm spot for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
4. Roll your dough out on a floured surface into a large rectangle. Fold the rectangle in half and press the seams together by rolling over it a few times. Cut your rolls and place on a cookie sheet. Cover and allow to rise for another half hour.
5. Preheat oven to 350° while your rolls are rising.
6. After the 30 minutes, bake for 12-15 minutes or until slightly golden. Remove from oven and brush the warm rolls with melted butter.
7. Serve with Cinnamon Honey Butter!
To make the Cinnamon Honey Butter, mix all ingredients together until a smooth spread forms.

I’ve used this recipe twice, both times the rolls have come out perfect. This will definitely be one of my main recipes! Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Thank you for the recipe!👍
I’ve been baking bread and I’m making these as I speak. They’re on the final rise and looking so good. Thank you so much and look forward to your other recipes…I have subscribed ♥️
Well prepared looking delicious
Looks delicious
Will try
I’m definitely gonna try this! ❤they look delicious ❤
Never ate at Texas Roadhouse but homemade rolls and cinnamon honey butter is so good.
I would like to know how to make the cream corn from Rudy’s barbecue. It is amazing, and I’ve tried several recipes but it’s just not the same.
I love the fact that you don’t have a lot of jewelry getting in the way
Made them today.. so awesome!
My butter came out a little too cinnamony and almost as smooth but it was so tasty!
Yum!!!
Good stuff!!!
I used to work at Texas Roadhouse as a waitress, we’d alternate cooking the dinner rolls & the cinnamon butter was pre made! Thanks for sharing this recipe with us!!
Before your video, I watched 4 other videos, and in everyone, they just took the butter straight from the fridge to bowl. Not a single one thought to use softened butter. I was like, why? And man, they struggled.
These look delicious I’m deathly going to try them, but I wish you had opened one up and show the inside
Do you ever freeze yours?
Please your cup of flour is how much in gram?
You never want salt to touch your yeast like that. Buffer with the flour u til you start mixing.
Taste like little Ceasars pizza crust. I made it and they look great but the flavor is missing.
My first time trying to make these rolls, you didn't mention what temp to bake them in or for how long 😮. I had to go to another video. Bummer
I am a very good vaker and bake only from scratch. I followed the recipe to the letter. These were more biscuits than rolls. They were not soft but rather hard. I have a dinner roll recipe that I've used for last 25 years which I'll try the cinnamon honey butter with but these rolls are no where near Texas Roadhouse rolls. Very disappointed.
Rolls turned out perfect, but the butter after about 20 minutes or so, the honey started to separate from the butter. No matter how much I mixed it back in, it would not combine again
Emulsify it in a food processor. You're welcome!! 😋
Wow super disappointed with this recipe. I followed it to the letter and my rolls look just like yours but taste below average from any other roll I have ever consumed. Actually taste closer to a biscuit than a roll. I also had to bake them at least 8 minutes longer than your instructions which I was ok with because all of the other recipes I looked at baked them that long at that temperature. I would not recommend this recipe to anyone. Wasted over 2 hours.
Rude
Clearly you messed them up somehow.
I’m not here to bash or be disrespectful but I kinda agree with this comment. I am a decent baker myself, so I followed everything to a T and I still was underwhelmed with the taste, seems like its missing something… maybe adding more sugar and salt will solve that flavor issue idk
You're just not good for this, that's all.
12/5/23 I am at the last sage of raising before I put them in the oven. I just pray they don't come out like biscuits 🙏
They have no flavor, something is missing.
Salt
@@robhawthorne6892 i added the amount they suggested.
