      Indeed .. brings me to an important question regarding the e-shift on the aristo ecu. For my swapped GS300, how do I get the e-shift to work without the buttons on my steering wheel?
      If not then at least get 3rd when shifting away from D position. Would be nice to add that one more toyota's 90s ahead of its time feature.
      Thx

    I just picked up a megasquirt with ms3X. I have been researching the a341e and how it is controlled by the ECU. Pretty simple to command it, but for controlling line pressure and shift timing automatically, do you know what inputs the stock ECU needs to command the transmission as expected? I would think obviously ecu needs tach, tps, and maybe some other sensors to calculate load? My goal is to use megasquirt as standalone for the engine but retain factory ecu for the trans.

    Thank you for sharing. Can you please shed more light on the switches when the lever is moved in the side ward direction in the 5 speed vvti A650 box for example (1st gear and 4 /5th gear). How do these switches talk to the ECU? I am trying to develop a push button shifter using Arduino and servo motor, My aim is to have a + and - button so that I can up shift through 5 gears, but still go through the ecu so that all the built in safety measures in terms of speed and rpm still remain operational. • @929rass
    @929rass Před rokem

    hi, my car is bmw e39 convert 1uz vvti 5speed auto. My problem is that my gearbox runs full auto D, there is no option to change gear 1,2,3 manually, only fully press the gas pedal if you want to cut, there is no button hold power/sport/eco (can be made to and how). so when going down a high hill it's quite dangerous because the gear can't be dropped manually. I have to use the brake a lot. I hope you can give me an opinion. thank you

    What happens if you flick the D-4 switch while you are not in D??

    • @CartuneNZ
      @CartuneNZ  Před 4 lety

      I don't quite understand. When set up correctly D-4 can only be accessed from D or when coming from 3rd into D-4 position. If anyone wires it wrong they are silly as the ecu wont like getting two gear inputs. When wired correctly shift selector on side of box supplies voltage to D-4 switch to prevent issues.

    2 Questions, excuse the dumbness of them I'm still learning auto. 1. SO on these auto boxes you can manually shift every gear? Or select Drive and it does it all on its own? And 2, Where does the Eco/sport change over come into things?

    • @CartuneNZ
      @CartuneNZ  Před 4 lety +1

      Is that just two questions today? Haha. Provided the shifter is set up correctly each gear can be shifted through however it limits the maximum top gear. So in third if you floor it the ecu will shift to second. Eco/sport alters the shift timing either earlier or later depending on mode selected. Cheers Kelvin.
