Loaded with great information, and what a beautiful loft you shared! As I consider starting with pigeons, your video helped me make the big decision! Resident hawk family (about four over our farming valley) is probably my biggest drawback, and knowing the losses will be high makes me cool my enthusiasm. I guess admiring the flocks in online videos will be best, for now.😢🕊🕊🕊🥰
totally agree expensive stock is not a short cut to success its how you manage them . the same with pills & potions don't win races.its a pigeons personality (love of home) the basket will always have the answers 👍atb mate . keep thinking deep😊
I've just brought an old loft from someone in Scarborough as that's where I live it's nowhere near ready for birds it has 3 sections but I need to sort out the sliding doors at the front where they come in and out and build a landing deck and avary
Hi really appreciate the update and the advice it helps a newbie that don't even have racers yet i have a couple pairs🏆🧬 Birmingham rollers but nothing compares to the racers 😎💪🏼🥚🥚
I had racing pigeons years ago I'm yes I got them off other racing pigeon men or women, I stop doing that because they would say, that they are just racing against there their own pigeons
Great video. I’d love to get into racing and have for years however don’t have the garden big enough. Would love to have someone local who was interested in it to do it with
I really find that not paying lots of money for babies is the way. You never know if you will be able to hold on to them. Buy cheap young ones to start with till you know what you are doing
I haven't bred them myself so they're usually 4 weeks old or more when I get them. I let them in the aviary first and then after 4 or 5 days I'll open the aviary door and let them have a nosey around. They don't go far. After that I try to let them out every day just before feeding time.
I really enjoy your videos and comments. Videos like yours (and some others) are just what is needed to revive the sport. Thank you!
Thanks John
My policy is if they are in the loft they have to go. You don’t want to leave the winner at home.
Great advice , much appreciated from one novice to another !!
Top tips for newbies mate keep it up
Cheers 👍

Hi, good evening, which fed will you be racing with and when is your first race.
Hi. I'm racing South Road and hopefully mid July for the first race.
When do you let the young birds fly

What is an expensive bird?? Price wise?
Honestly I have no idea. I was gifted mine.
The record is €1.9m a Chinese business man paid for 1 bird, some people are crazy
