- Following on the heels of A Brief History of Poi, and an even Briefer History of Poi, I present you with a Brief History of High School Fleet.
Yes, it's time for another Wargaming anime collaboration. If you aren't a fan of the genre, its time for you to flip the video off, though I hope you don't. However, if you are at least a little but interested, stick around. This also means we are getting more achievable ships such as the Kagero (Harekaze) and another Graf Spee.
Again, I have nothing against those that watch anime. It's just not my thing. However, I felt it appropriate to do a background on the history of it, and learn a little, since it will feature heavily in Warships in the coming months. Honestly, of the various ship based anime, this one is likely the most approachable for the WoWS crowd and the easiest to get into.

It wasn't the Graf Spee's captain the Harekaze picked up. It was the XO
zoup... the ships have been confirmed as a premium ships for a while now that we most likely will he to buy. as they are full new models rather then simple Re coloring. the big thing is the harekaze will be able to equip all the armerments that it equips in the show (including 127mm ijn, 100mm ijn and 5"/54 usn guns)
Would be pretty easy to add the Musashi through and event like the ARP ships. Just make a series of really hard missions that can only be done in tier 10 ships. That's how you give it only to experienced players.
Don't know if anyone is still reading this but Musashi is coming as a tier 9 premium with her original hull configuration so 12 6,1 inch guns.
if you look at the pictures warships has posted that the Harekaze has unique turrets. she sports 3 turrets with a single gun each vs the Kagero's 3 twin gun turrets.
Well now you have the Musashi in at tier IX and more crew members of HSF. This time in an optional mission. There is also a HSF skin for the Yamato, same scheme just with a blue stripe instead of red. Oh and some new flags too.
No mention of the alternate main battery options for the Harekaze? The 5"/54 Mk 16s are clearly visible in the shots of her in-game depiction that you are using in the video.
Curious if the Harekaze will get the US 5 inch gun like in the show???
In the screenshots, promotion, video preview, and leaks it will get the Type 3 127mm, 10cm, and Mark 5/54s
actually unless you got some insider info from WG that was not announced yet, the current "official" point is that these two will not be earnable but full blown premiums in premium shop available only for RL cash.
[main EU announcement mentions them being premiums being "soon" available in premium shop, and in one of SubOctavian's Q/A when asked about it pretty much seemed to confirm that no "event" to earn them is in plans and that it was decision they "sometimes have to make"]

I've seen all three series. Arpeggio was good, as was High School Fleet, but I am a bit conflicted over KanColle. One one hand it has spawned a lot of really good fan based content, and the other it gets close to falling into a rather unsavory genre (destroyers are not for lewding)...
Also, the post on the WoWs website clearly states these ships will hit the Premium Shop. So, these arent attainable via missions, only cold hard cash. I love your content bud, but you really decided to jump before researching shit most of us know about the way WoW will bring these two us.

Just no. None of these recent warship animes is what you start off with, if you want to get into warship anime.
You start off with Zipang or Space Battleship Yamato (starblazers)
MrDeaf yeah,zipang was amazing, and sby was also good though the original haven't aged all that well compared to the newest one. although HD specifically talking about ships these would be the ones to start with, I would say they should start with baccano (in dub only) to start out on anime.
out of the several haifuri x wows videos i've seen,
is nobody going to address wether we'll get harekaze with the modded fletcher guns instead? XD

You'll be able to pick them up in our Premium Shop when High School Fleet releases on Blu-ray, so keep an eye out!

I'm gonna be nice and say it was more disappointing than KanColle.
Oh well, at least the collab ships have nice paint schemes - especially HSF Graf Spee. If she's available via an event like the ARP ships or KMS Graf Spee, and not premium shop-exclusive like the WoWs Asia website says, then I'm definitely going out of my way to get her.
How was it more disappointing than KanColle? Not hating or anything, just curious.
Lt. Voss TL;DR Haifuri is GuP with boats, even more irritating "characters" and three times the unrelatable forced drama. (btw I enjoyed GuP despite being a 5/10 in my books)
While KanColle was terrible in my opinion, I still found it mildly amusing at times. Haifuri on the other hand managed to be even less engaging despite trying to have an actual story and not just be about an annoyingly naïve school girl wanting to do her bes- oh wait, the MC of Haifuri is just like Fubuki, isn't she? Yeah... I think a major part of what kept me from falling asleep or playing it in the background while I attempt world conquest in Hearts of Iron while watching KanColle was how eccentric some of the supporting cast was, while Haifuri's cast just seemed to be amalgamations of Fubuki and the main 5 characters from GuP (who I cannot stand). I guess, in a nutshell, it's trying to be GuP with boats and thrice the forced drama that I can't relate to, except every character is 90% Fubuki and 10% Ankou Team. Oh, and I thought GuP was mediocre-slightly above average despite thinking it was enjoyable too.

Grand Admiral Tyler, Lord Regent of Tyland EU also says they are premium shop purchase and NA site suggests the same by saying they will be for pick up in prem shop. That causes me to believe they will be exclusives for moneyz :(

Ah, don't worry about it. I've been under the weather because of allergies for over a week now. I live near Atlanta, where the pollen counts are in the thousands, day after day, so I've been sneezing and sniffling for a while.
For Poi to ARP and High School Fleet, why people hold grudges against anime?
Basically, it is because people hate others that don't like exactly what they like. It's best to just ignore haters who have nothing better to do than complain on the internet.
They only have 1 season.. Don't heard them saying anything about 2nd season.

Well :D Harekaze is indeed a Kagerou destroyer but it never existed in reality :D
Just a fictional one base on it and the best thing about the HF Harekaze is that y can select all three diffrent naval guns which were used during the show...
You could have mentioned mentioned at least that a "Harekaze" itself never existed :D
Wilhelmina is the Deputy Captain of the Spree =P not a huge mistake though.
Zoup, I hate to break it to you, BUT THERE IS NO SEASON TWO. There is an OVA (Original Video Animation) and talks of a movie, but that's it! Please do research before making videos
