5.7 (350) built 880 block installed into 2003 chevy s10 zr2.

Congrats! I finished this swap on my 1994 S10 ZR2 in 2022. I see you ran into a lot of the same issues. Mine is still going strong in the Arizona desert. I can take it anywhere a jeep can go and on 33's. It was a great choice. Enjoy your creation!!

I’ve definitely had the pushrod issue before. I ended up using a set of chromoly trickflow pushrods. Work amazing. I’m in a similar spot, almost close to finished with my s10. It’s good to see this running. Glad to see the progress.
Also I really wanna see what you do for hood clearance.
Noticed the intermittent battery light going but couldn’t see it after the test drive. Only guess I’d see with the idling issue after the valves. But definitely sounds nice and glad to see it come alive
Thanks, it’s a huge joy to get a big project like that out for the first time.. even if I can’t romp on it yet. The battery light issue is still going on. I’m not sure what the deal is with that. It’s definitely charging though, so I guess I’m not too worried about it for now.

I have a 98 Sonoma and I kinda eventually feel like doing this one day thing is well I do want it to be cable driven for the throttle body. Hate fly by wire but thing is mine is a 4 cylinder 5 speed and I kinda want to stick with the manual in it but with the V8 in it I got practice in with a manual and I do feel like keeping it as a manual. Thing would be which transmission would be good to use and if there's a transmission that would work with one of these engines and what clutch and pressure plate I'd need. But if Im not able to then nah I'd rather keep it the same then and leave it at that.
