This is awesome man I've had a 57 with all the machine work done I've been waiting for 2 years for someone to put a video out on installing yuan into ZR2
Looking to swap lt1 or l31 engine in my blazer 2dr 4x4. This vid helped with the basics thank u sir.
i have a 96 with vortec 383 ( speedmaster head combo PCE435.1012 , scat 9000 crank and h beam rods, wiseco pistons , total seal rings , quick feul slayer 750 carb , ). schoenfeld fender headers ,th400 tranny with np203 transfercase and narrowed dana 60 axles , 4 linked the axles , foa 16 inch coilovers with viper springs . moto metal MO962 wheels with michelin 335/80R20 XZL tires .
the vortec 5.7l 350's are great engines and in the right hands can be deadly on the streets.
Will it fit in 88-93 s10's?
@@ricedmondson9262 yes I have one in my S10 blazer and it's a menace on the streets. I make real low rpm torque so no waiting till 5000 rpm to make "power"
I want to do this to my truck so bad
Good to see you are not using 1990 era heads as they were junk!
I was planning on it at first but the more I looked into them it just didn’t seem worth the time when those AFR’s are available… not to mention the cracking issues!
I'd love swap out my 4.3 in my beautiful 02' Blazer ZR2 4x4. Mine runs like new but I'd love the power. Especially for towing
My 4.3 has been great and reliable I’ve done everything with it I’m honestly just being a little greedy I guess. want more fun. And not to mention the mileage is starting to get high and I’m noticing blow by so time for an upgrade!
Good content 🙂 I've put on in my 1996 GMC Jimmy the fuel rails leaked and caught fire almost lost project now it's aluminum intake and carb try it again
Wow! Car fires can get crazy real fast.
Im buailding s10 has a 355 small block with about 500 has corvette suspension in the rear corvette steering and stearing wheel 400 turbo transmission. I bought it like this It my first project car as it's all in peaces. It has 70000km
I think they may have exaggerated a bit if they told you it has 500hp. Sounds like a cool project though. That’s a solid transmission.
Hey my friend. The V8 swap is still just a dream for me, but you've given me a lot of good tips. In the meantime, can you tell me what rims you're currently running; size and offset? I need to shed some weight on my rig and I'm looking for some alloy wheels to replace the seel rims I currently have. It's hard to find alloy wheels for the S10 platform.
You’re right it is hard to find wheels that fit our trucks just right! These wheels are actually Camaro wheels from the 80s I found a good deal on some used ones and just gave them a custom paint job. Not sure what the specs are but they kick out about an inch and a half from the ZR2 rims. There still 15 inch.
@@nicholsperformance92 yep. I thought they might be Camero rims. They really look good on your truck. Thanks bud!!
What year S10 did you put the motor in? I have a 2000 model 4wd id like to do the same swap. Needing the wiring info to do the swap.
Mine was a 2003. You shouldn’t have much of a problem doing that. As long as you can do some basic wiring and move pins around. I actually made a video that should help with the wiring aspect, check out the link below.

Would I have to do a lot of fabrication work since my S10 has the 2.2l? Or is it still fairly easy?
That’s what I was gonna comment glad someone’s in the same boat I’ve been wondering
