9-time Freediving World Champion, Yasemin Dalkilic, explores the Spiegel Grove, a 510 ft long wreck off the coast of Key Largo, Florida. An amazing ecosystem home to many species like the giant Goliath Grouper, this wreck is also a dangerous dive, with stiff currents threatening to blow the diver away. Yasemin challenges herself by attempting to dive to the bottom of the wreck on one breath of air!

I was stationed on the Spiegel Grove as a machinist mate aft engine room 1971-72..nice to see her again..
The most amazing 4 minutes 2 seconds dive.
You rock!I served on that ship as a cook in the 80's..
I served on the Spiegel Grove back in 83 to 87
onlinevisability.com that’s so cool !!
This is one of the best dives I have ever seen in my life
Thanks for all the very nice comments! Very motivating!
i like spearfish what fo you do to get so much air, tel me show me some exercíse. please
My son and I dove her this past Aug 4-5. Amazing! The currents were extremely strong on both days. Held on to the bow line for our safety stop and we were like flags in the wind. Diving on EAN31 we were limited to MOD of 113'. She is right when she says you suck the air down quickly in the currents.
Very impressive what Yasemin can do. Would love to have been there when she made the dives.
Beautiful and inspiring.
Thanks!
Wow. Yasemin, the image sar great, but your words are poetry. As a new freediver I am watching a LOT of freediving videos, but I like yours the most. Thank you
This was amazing !! Thanks for sharing
Thx a lot.
This is really fun to watch !
Amazing and Inspirational!
This is a fantastic video. Excellent cinematography, great commentary, beautiful dive and a great location that many never get to see. Beautifully done!!
amazing video, looking forward to more
You are amazing!
Did this dive last year. I loved it. I didn't think it was that hard. The ship is beautiful. Especially when you swim through the cranes.
Incredible!
Always love watching this one. Hope you have more videos soon!
She is amaizing
Amazing video and amazing place...you really did a great job transporting us there..but even more amazing was the dive...in my opinion.
This dive is amazing. Very nice!
Thank you very much. When I prepare for a record I train about 5-6 hours per day, but this documentary can be counted as off season, so I train about 1 hour per day. My static apnea record is 6:25.
And mad respect this is crazy discipline and free diving skill
Very impressive ! Good continuation !
amazing!!!
awesome film! intense and had a great story to follow
I've dove this a few times on scuba..You have skills girl
This is still the coolest video on CZcams !
You are so awesome. Very inspirational. I'm so hyped now for my next dive. Keep it up!
Yasemin, extremely beautiful dive and video takes were gorgeous. Thank you for provide us with so beautiful images and to allow us to see your perfect free diving skills.
With lots and lots of training :) Thanks!

WOW!!! TRUELY AMAZING!!! LOVE IT...THANKS FOR SHARING:0)
nice video
That is one helluva a dive!
Çok güzel!
That's amazing
I'm so fascinated by ship wrecks and artificial reefs, as they are so helpful for the ocean life and creates a safe place for their homes. this was such a great dive and your control is great! one day I will be able to go and explore a shipwreck but for now I'm petrified.
Go Yas, go!
For the oceans this time..
Oh god! You’re very brave going down there without scuba gear specially because even with scuba gear it can be so dangerous
Uv got an amazing voice for narrating
breath taking awesomeness docu/dive! great vid, i'm partial cause i served aboard in '81, though, ha ha ha :) (the young lady doing the dive, is UDT seal level)
You are amazing! Pushing your personal limits to help raise awareness about our ecological issues is an incredible path to choose. I can't imagine the mental calm and physical conditioning needed to hold ones breath that long. I'll bet you could do the Ginnie Springs cave dive from the Devils Eye to the Devils Ear. After seeing your capacity for breath hold while swimming, I'm surprised you hadn't done it on your episode you had filmed there. Manatee Springs has a legitimate swimthrough which I doubt anyone has attempted to freedive before.. There's a siphon called Catfish Motel which goes down to about 100' and over to the Manatee Springs main vent where it spits you out. With someone as talented as you are, and a professional team to keep you safe, that would be one insane video.
loved the vid my favourite bit was at 4.55 look awesome :)
Im heading to florida in August, i hope i get to dive here!!
Dove it several times in all conditions. Never had a problem reaching the wreck or exhausting my air (nitrox) supply "in minutes" as stated in the vid.
You are truly amazing and inspiring....WOW
Wow!
grande
How deep is the deck of the ship? And awesome video!
Thanks for all the great comments, quite motivating as we continue on to our next videos. dlopez8a, It was edited (by my husband) with Adobe Premiere and After Effects. He recently started a blog site where he shares his experiences with underwater cinematography. Site is: underwatercinema.
SyrRduDtw, yes it's a shame we didn't come across. Quite a special place as you witnessed yourself. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
When will you post more dives? im also updating my channel with some dive vidz but im not as good as you he he.
Amazing free dive and great video.
On a side note: If you don't mind me asking, do you know which video editor was used on this clip?
awesome 4 minutes! how much do you train?
and how much is you static apnea record?
WoW Amazing free dive so clear
dive time 4min 2 sec .how do you do that ,great video ,
WOOW what would extend my breath holding, does a wet suit help my progress and what thickness is better for 20 degree C temp
I would love to dive that wreck but I wouldn't want to go in it. I would be using scuba gear anyway. Beautiful wreck.
Maşallah iyi ceğer varmış yasemin hanimda hareketsiz 6.30 saniye duruyor
The rip is no joke I looked like a flag on the way down but once you get into the wreck it's all good and always where gloves
Hope you try to dive the Mighty "O". Now the largest artificial reef in the world. Let me know if you do as I would like to be there.
Amazing diving talent... over the top with the "drama-filled" narrative. The deaths see mentions were in an unauthorized area of the ship. She incredibly is swimming through the main corridor. Loved the video, but it is best seen with the audio off.
how long can you hold youre breath?
which training practice do you use ?
How do you train (sry for bad english :D )
I'm a total beginner, just curious about your weighting - where are you neutral with your belt in that video? It looks to me to be about 6 kg?
Great video, would love to dive that wreak to.... but i would cheat and take tanks, my freediving is nowhere near good enough
what is the dive time of the last dive?
Are you breathing up using nitrox?
merhabalar yasemin hanım biraz da türkçe videolar çekseniz müthiş plur alt yazı seçeneklerini kullaniyorum videolarinıza hayranım iyiki varsınız
it is not a very dangerous dive, many people dive this wreck every year and are fine but I may add the current does pose a little threat
So you take air wile you are under from divers with tanks?
No, free diving is the art of breath holding
SmidgeDubstep
But she said she took breaths from safety divers.
Ryan Ortiz no she said that was a safety stop, incase she needed to take air from her safety divers.
yes, from the cameraman
like
as expected c4 fins
Lol at first I thought the description said it was 510ft deep...noone could dive that
Theres definately people who have gotten close...

Tam dalmadan once cama dokunmadan hafif suyla calkalayin.
çok teşekkür ederim ilginize..
4:02 breath hold while swimming... and I barely hit 3:15 laying down in bed.
like :)
Çok güzel!
