The Milcery outbreaks with increased shiny odds featured in the Indigo Disk's terrarium will also be available until the 21st! It'll be a fun Pokémon to use in the double battles featured in the DLC, especially with Alcremie's exclusive move Decorate!

@@crafter216 IT REALLY IS!! I always appreciated Alcremie's gimmick (and it's nice that the customizable whipped cream friend made the cut, even with Furfrou still left out 😭), but I never really appreciated how fun it was to use in battle until SwSh's Crown Tundra, and using Alcremie as a rental Pokémon in the Dynamax Adventures! Decorate is such a useful, little-drawback move to use on allies you share the field with, so I can't wait to use one paired with the Flygon I'm also going to catch!!

@@seanakima50515e Mew and Darkrai must've been our Mythical Pokémon this generation! 😆 In all seriousness, it's been a lowkey theory for a while that they've been phasing out Mythicals from the games, primarily because they seem to have been used as movie-tie-in advertisements above all else (again, this is all just speculation and theorizing, though it makes a lot of sense). This is why we only had Zarude last generation, and when its movie flopped, we didn't get any others added. Which is a shame, because I really love the designs and stories behind all of the Mythicals we've gotten (GENESECT IS MY FAVORITE!!!) In a way, the DLC legendaries like Urshifu, Calyrex, Ogerpon, etc., almost *feel* like replacements for Mythicals - while being labeled as Legendaries so they can be used competitively - with their stories reminicent of the sidequests/interactive elements for Mythicals in Gens 2-5. Which... I'm not sure how much I agree with from an accessibility angle. What's better, having to drive to GameStop for a Pokémon? Or having to pay $30+ for a Pokémon? I'm not sure... but monetary aspects aside, I'll miss Mythical Pokémon and I sincerely hope they intergrate them more in the gameplay itself like Deoxys in ORAS and Keldeo in the Crowned Tundra.
The time for release IS confirmed, it's a universal time that every gaming company follows for worldwide releases. 7PM EST, but it MIGHT be staggered depending on region by 10min - 1hr so that servers aren't overloaded all at once. So someone in New York might get it before someone in DC, for example, even though they're in the same time zone.
So best thing to do is to check for an update every 2-5 minutes starting 7PM EST tomorrow (Dec. 13th for North America)

I’ve never really played doubles, I mostly played singles so this might be a good way to learn doubles strategies.

I think I'm gonna spend Day 1 of Indigo Disk going for the Alcremie Dex (getting all 63 forms + the 7 shinies) since the team I wanted to use in Indigo Disk I can't fully transfer in until the maintenance ends.
So it's shiny doesn't change based on flavour, it's just the sweet that matters?

I’m hyped because it’s actually just a little over a day till it comes out. Almost the final day of waiting and I’m prepared too with having shiny Dipplin and also prepared on items and all caught up to the point to where I’ll be ready to venture out into Blueberry Academy and the deepest depths of Area Zero
I’m so excited. I hope my team is good enough cuz I just picked a bunch of my favorites, a Shiny Fuecoco, Greninja, and Dipplin, and a normal Iron Valiant, as well as BM Ursaluna and Ogerpon. Tho the Greninja is just a filler member until I can get a Feraligatr 💙

I'm glad I've have both Teal Mask DLC and i'm glad I'm finished with the Teal Mask beating and fishing the story Arc.
i had a plan of havin a support pokemon with light screen, reflect, life dew, and gravity so i can have little to worry about. and of course, the clear amulet would be useful item in my opinion.

So, for me, I started a new game and jumped into the Teal DLC only, I got to the point before the battle with Carmine when I updated game today and as soon as I updated I got a phone call to go to school for blueberry academy. The trigger is definitely before fighting her. Maybe after getting ogrepon?
I don't play VGC or anything related to competitive things cause I myself am not a competitive player so I'll play how I like to play really and enjoy it for sure!!
One of the first things I'm gonna do is evolve the shiny Duraludon I caugth just yesterday in sword, to see what a shiny Archaludon looks like first hand. Might be a cool experience if anyone has a shiny Duraludon.
Might be too late to hunt one now if you don't have one already since it might take some time, but it might still be worth trying to hunt it if you have the shiny charm in SWSH. Use a pokemon with Magnet Pull first in your party for a 50% spawn rate on route 10.
Although I guess you could just wait and hunt for one in the DLC itself if it appears in the wild.

@@noreligi0n Like most other shiny hunters, shinies that I don't catch myself and that don't have my OT mean nothing to me. I hunted that Duraludon for close to a week. Don't really care if a random stranger believes me.
If I wanted one that way, I would've just genned it using a discord bot which takes like 2 minutes instead of trying to connect to a CZcamsr's crowded bot for hours lol. That's how I got my foreign ditto for masuda egg hunts.

FYI, for those who restart files like me. You don't need to beat the "game" game for this - just the real mask. I did that on no badges. I was just wondering if Ogerpon would listen to me when I saw he drops at lvl 20 for me. However, every trainer is over lvl 70. Double battles all. Lacey will fight you as part of the story, plusle and minun will crush you, then you can move a bit forward. You can go to the first class, catch an alolan mon, and unlock bp. THEN it full locke you til you beat the story

You can just go into the game and it will bring you to the eshop with the correct version. People didn’t take there time in the teal mask.
If they don’t scale the levels down to 50 or whatever then it won’t be a challenge. Most people have level 100’s at this point.
im not sure if all the challenges follow the same guidlines but the game makes you catch pokemon inside if the terrarium for the dragon E4 so that you cant cheese it

You got that right, I haven't done online competitions since sun and moon but if its someone who hasn't done any at all they would struggle greatly. Casual players will just use their level 100 mons.

@@marjoriejohnston4905 Seems like the npc's levels will be in the 70-80's. Maybe some higher than that as well at the very end of the DLC. So a level 100 Ogerpon probably won't be one shotting everything.

You have to complete the Teal Mask and the main story of Scarlet and Violet.
Technically, you don’t have to complete the main story. You just need to be past the entry-level stuff, like starting your adventure, then it should allow you to go. If not, try beating a gym or two, beating a titan or something along the lines.
