SYNOPSIS:
October 1944, Auschwitz-Birkenau. Saul Ausländer is a Hungarian member of the Sonderkommando, the group of Jewish prisoners isolated from the camp and forced to assist the Nazis in the machinery of large-scale extermination. While working in one of the crematoriums, Saul discovers the body of a boy he takes for his son.
As the Sonderkommando plans a rebellion, Saul decides to carry out an impossible task: save the child's body from the flames and offer the boy a proper burial.
Son Of Saul is directed by László Nemes, and stars Géza Röhrig, Levente Molnár, Urs Rechn, Todd Charmont, Sándor Zsótér and Marcin Czarnik.

When I was in Dubai, I was invited to a very hotel, at the restaurant there was a Filipino waiter who slipped and spilled the drink he was carrying onto the guest. One guy picked him by the ear and the guys on the table laughed.

This reminds me of an incident when I was working on a construction site for a large shopping center some years ago. There was this Turkish worker who was urged by his German foreman to carry stuff into a room that already had carpet on the floor. Of course his boots were quite dirty and would leave footsteps on the new carpet, so he was very hesitant at first but finally followed that order. Then suddenly a group from the construction management appeared and one of the managers saw what was happening and totally freaked out, grabbed that poor old guy by his ear, pulled him down to the floor just infront of the dirty marks and threatened him that he would cut off his testicles right on the spot if he would ever dare to do this again. The whole group of managers seemed to have a lot of fun, some were grinning others laughing out loud, while I couldn't believe what I just witnessed, but I didn't say anything and went wherever I had to go.

@@christinajones3085 I was very young at that time (19 maybe 20), and in that moment totally perplexed. Also I wasn't sure if this is "normal" or not. It was generally a very rough work environment.

@@Anonymous25012 Not really. For me it was only a temporary job in the semester holidays. If someone had treated me that way, I would have reacted accordingly - if necessary with physical violence. And then I would have lost that job. And then taken another shitty job. That poor old Turkish guy probably had to keep his employment, for one or another reason.
