In this video we go over the Fission 8 from Way of Wade.
Cushioning: Light Foam Plus midsole + Boom in the forefoot & heel. Bouncy and responsive enough.
Traction: Tuff rubber, durable outsole and excellent performance on all types of court conditions.
Fit: Half size up in US sizing recommended, average width but not ideal for those who have a wide mid-foot due to the shape.
Other: Some break-in time required, very breathable, decent upper stability.

Excellent volleyball shoe, especially for outside (& opposite) hitters. Not as cushioned as the WOW 10s, but shouldn't be a problem for the lighter profile of most volleyball athletes. For me this is a better value than the WOW 10. And it has better ankle support and more breathability IMHO
@@arnaldosifre2706 I’d take these actually. The JB 1 I had quite a few small issues with it - like lateral containment, traction on dust, etc.
@@dhanyekabastian They’re pretty much equally as good in most of those aspects. I’d say the Son of Flash takes a small edge overall by its smoother transition and court feel. Traction is amazing on both, very durable for indoors & outdoors.

Please make a video. Wow fission 8 vs son of flash. What is better
deciding between this and son of flash for an outdoor shoe. I primarily focus on jump training. I can't take the wow 10s outside hahaha would love to hear your thoughts! Cheers and thanks for the great reviews.
Tbh they’re almost equally as good for outdoor use, so no bad pick here really. Fission 8 will probably give you more bounce in the heel, while Son of Flash has a smooth transition and better court feel. Both durable enough 😃
I’m 5’5, 170lbs(77kg). I can consider myself a short, shifty Asian small guard, but a big guard i think due to my weight( but athletic Build) I love to blow by defenders with fast and nimble footwork, fade aways, fast pull up jumpshots. I’ve have the pg6, anta shockwave 5(reg version). I’m considering to buy a fission 8 in “Latte” colorway, i love brown. Due to my playing style description and my condition, the shoes i got(i’ve been carefully choosing after watching more than 20 times of you review videos). Do you think it’ll suit me? And i also play majority outdoor on tennis court, sometimes concrete. Thanh you, keep making videos man, i’ve at least watched over 15-20 times each of your videos. ❤❤❤

These are bouncier. Son of Flash is softer on feet and transitions more smoothly, very close but I’d take the Son of Flash if I could only pick one.

nice review, but between fission 8 and wow ultra v2(the one with strap) which is good for ankle support, i like mid/high tops, so im using shadow 4 right now and im planning to buy thes or wow ultra v2...
For ankle support, the 808 2 Ultra V2 is for sure better than these.

Thx! Oh those Way of Wade socks are incredibly good. One aspect they’re better than Nike Elite socks in is dust pick up. My Nike Elite socks have been a dust magnet when I take off the shoes or walk around briefly in them, but these Wade shoes have been resistant enough while also thick and comfy for ball.

Hello 😃 Son of Flash if I have to pick one, but these 3 are all very good choices - no bad pick here. Go with the All City 11 if you have wider feet.

Amazing review and I love your videos. Could you do a direct comparison between the wow fission 8 and the wow 10 or would you say the way of wade 10 are worth the extra money. (I like a little more ankle support and padding with shoes, thats why I'm wondering if it is worth spending the extra money.) Since I'll use the for volleyball which do you think are bouncier?

Thanks for this! Question about sizing for this and the shadow 4. You went up half a size for both, but mentioned they are tight in the midfoot area. You were referring to the already sized up pair as still tight, correct?

Those are really nice, but I found the harden vol. 6 for 75€, which one should I pick ? I play outdoor.
They offer very different things - Harden’s are a lot heavier, more comfortable and better for wide feet while these are best for medium-narrow feet imo. Both outsoles are durable for outdoor use, so it depends on your foot shape and what type of feeling you prefer I guess.

Decent support, yeah I think so 😃 Just that if you were to compare within the brand, I’d probably still take the Son of Flash. But these are fantastic too, good for shifty playing styles.
Which is better wade 808 3 regular or fission 8 for outdoor
Both are durable for outdoor use. Fission 8 may be specifically better just as an outdoor shoe.

planning to buy the fission 8, comparing this to the WOW 808 3 regular, would you say that the Fission 8 has the same length? I have the 808 3 regular TTS (9.5US) they fit very good for my wide feet but it has too much length so there sometimes there is heel slipage. What size would you suggest I get for the Fission 8s?

To me yes because it’s got better traction and excellent responsiveness. But if you have wide feet, especially in the forefoot, the All City 11 I think will be a better fit.
Tommy i am old so impact protection for outdoor use is important ....do you think these are sufficient or would you choose somethinf else like the nova surge lows
Hey, I think these are sufficient. But Nova Surge Lows have amazing impact protection if it’s not too hard to get for you, just a crazy good shoe.

Yes it does, I almost never do that. But I think a lot of people do, and I really hate it that’s how dusty courts are made and clean courts are ruined lol

How is the sizing on the wade shorts ?
True to size, I’d recommend getting the same size as your Nike shorts or most other basketball shorts.
I only play on an outdoor court cuz there is no indoor court here so these should be perfect. I have one concern though and that is that my feet are pretty wide, so should i go half size up or completely avoid them?
I’d say avoid - just to be safe.

Oh midfoot is narrow I said - just to clarify. Toe box fit is standard, average width.

#1 is the Asics Nova Surge Low. Umm the other ones I haven’t put much thought into a ranking but the Harden Vol. 7 is up there too.

They’re very different, especially in width and weight. I’d say the Harden’s are better overall.

Hello 😃 Pretty close, I’d probably take the Fission 8 for the superior traction and more bounciness. But the Shadow 4 is a great shoe for guards too if you prefer a higher cut.
