Why is state pension deemed to be a benefit, when you pay taxes and so does your employers, during your working life ? You have paid for it, so it is not a benefit. Many people in UK that have not worked, nor paid taxes, get benefits. This is part of Social Security. Stalin Starmer is a liar. 75% tax is disgraceful. Just check with the DWP on the total amount of contributions have you have made over all your working life. Then divide that amount by the amount of your pension so far - you will find that the pension exceeds those contributions and the longer you live the more in does become a Benefit.

Why take away the winter fuel payment that made a huge difference to them. When HMRC receives the tax returns, they can see each person's income, so why not establish a level of income, lets say £15 000 per annum to enable these people to get help with their heating bills?

Why is state pension deemed to be a benefit, when you pay taxes and so does your employers, during your working life ? You have paid for it, so it is not a benefit. Just check with the DWP on the total amount of contributions have you have made over all your working life. Then divide that amount by the amount of your pension so far - you will find that the pension exceeds those contributions and the longer you live the more in does become a Benefit.

A good way of wrecking an economy is to have unlimited individuals accessing the country at vast cost to the taxpayer, whilst bowing to the union paymasters by giving the public sector huge pay rises.
