When I played this game as a kid, I thought Hotchkiss was neurotic. Now as an adult who's been diagnosed with ADHD... I RELATE TO HER. If I am working on something, I NEED to ride the wave of hyperfocus to get it done. If I don't, then the essay or project I'm working on will indeed come crashing down like a souffle as Hotchkiss describes.
I can remember names much better than she can, though.

@Amelia I mostly like the CZcams channel How to ADHD! Jessica, the person who runs the channel, has a lot of helpful advice for managing ADHD and learning more about it. I unfortunately don't know of many other websites or resources. 😕

Lisa sounds a bit like Leela Yadav from Warnings at Waverly Academy. This was also my first Nancy Drew game I ever played, and it was what got me into playing them. Such a good one!

This one is my favorite. This and Haunted Mansion were my my first Nancy Drew games. I got them because of the covers and absolutely love them.
I think what people forget is that Marie Antoinette was from Austria (or at least what makes present day Austria) and they did not believe in teaching the women how to rule as it was still viewed as the man’s role and a woman’s only place being married to a monarch or heir was to produce heirs themselves. Preferably of the male variety. Her birth name was Antoine Sofia I believe, she descends from the Habsburg line. For many years the Austrian/Bavarian monarchies never believed in teaching women at court much, they were forbidden from learning to dance and play music even if I remember correctly. I believe the story was that once Anne of Cleves reached England she learned to dance and play music and would do so often as she loved it, her step-daughter Elizabeth (future Elizabeth I) loved to do so I hear as well, granted the marriage was short.
Marie’s pre-marital name was Maria Antonia. All of her sisters were Maria, named after their mother, Empress Maria.

@@IWillBeHers That’s right I forgot, I remembered she had a lot of sisters but I couldn’t remember their names. I do remember that France was one of many where when a woman from another kingdom/country married in, they would have their name changed. I know the Russians were another to do this.

@@IWillBeHers Oh yes that’s right, her sisters’, brother’s, and parent’s names were changed as well weren’t they? In English text books they are referred to as Isabella, Ferdinand, John, Joanna, and Mary when they are actually Isabel, Fernando, Juan, Juana, y Maria. I also believe in Russia the women had to change their names too, especially when converting to the Russian Orthodox Church.

The first time I played this I had no idea what couscous was, and when she ordered it I was so puzzled. I thought it was a made up word lol. Anyway, that's what I mostly am reminded of whenever I see her.
