I like these kind of skating more than the competition ones you can express yourself through the music and the dance and not having a care in the world.
As a skater of 8 years it's alot more fun to skate something we love it's easier to show emotion when there is a connection with the music and the skater.
Mirai really has it all--those spins, the Ina Bauer, the spirals. She even did a triple lutz--in an exhibition (she missed it here but has done it in later performances). Her flexibility is amazing. She really skates with her heart in this program. I hope she can do the same in her competitive performances.
When I first watched this program I started crying. Mirai is an amazing skater and an amazing person. She was my coach in 2011 and for some of 2012, I wish I got to spend more time with her. This program just proves that we haven't seen the last of her even after the 2014 nationals.
wow. this is so beautiful. It seems like with everything she has gone through, her artistry has only grown and now here we see not just a skater, but an artist. Bravo!

No emotion, no story, and they always seem like just a piece of music with choreography and nothing more. She is a great skater, but I don't like watching her competition programs and I've always felt like they are boring to watch. To me a great figure skater is more than a great jumper and spinner, and should also be a great performer as well. To be honest, I'd rather them actually lack in another department (jumping/spinning) and excel in presentation.
I love the fact that she chose this version of Demons, I love the original but I love this version of the song more, she also did really great with the choreography for this song

She should have the same attack and even incorporate some...or a lot of the choreography here in her Miss Saigon Olympic program! Guarantee those PCS scores will go way up and she can land on that podium. I actually think she's the best in the world! She has it all, if she can just combine it all at once along with her triple axel, then we have a possible Olympic champion. Yes! Olympic champion over over scored and rated Medvedeva. That's my opinion. Baiii!

For being a figure skater for over 10 years it’s 20 times more fun to skate on a music that you love and during something that isn’t that stressful.
The fact that she chose the Sam Tsui+MAX version just made me love her even more~~~

Superb! Beautiful and lyrical yet very there was difficulty in that program. Nice to see her put a 3Lz. Next season will be good for her!
