I also don't agree with Colorado jumping the gun by banning him from their ballot, which would only support the unfounded claims Trump has made about everyone being out to get him & his base, BUT that all being said, should he be found guilty of any of the major charges against him SHOULD justify any state that is patriotic in any way to ban him from the ballot, even if he wins the nomination. The Colorado Secretary of State is hamstrung. She said that she will abide by the ruling made, but the time factor is working against her wishes. I don't want Trump's name on their ballot either. So I hope that the plurality of voters vote for the Republican other than Trump. I know there is no way to prevent voters from writing in Trump's name on the ballot. I know its been a rarity in elections where the write-in candidate has won beating the candidates named. But the odds are against winning as a write-in candidate.

Tom Friedman is one of the most perceptive observers we have. After Oslo the Palestinians were so optimistic. Then Yitzhak Rabin was killed by a far-right Israeli, Benjamin Netanyahu tore up the Oslo agreement saying cynically he did not see his signature on the document, and Peace Now went from organizing demonstrations of several hundred thousand to shrinking to meaninglessness. The moderate Palestinian politicians eg. Hanan Ashrawi, Mustafa Barghouti were sidelined as were the moderate Israeli politicians eg. Shimon Peres, Ehud Barak. Netanyahu hates the Palestinians. He and Hamas ‘need’ one another as boogeymen, like in the past the IRA and Ian Paisley in N. Ireland. Extremists feed off of each other and the moderate middle is pushed to the side. Only the moderate middle on both sides working together can ever provide lasting stability.
