    Last minute cancellations are a pain, sometimes its unavoidable, all this rain has put a stop to me getting anything done. Excellent diagnosis as usual mate

      The weather has been tragic Matt, I have recently thought about a unit but most of my customers like the convenience of me coming to them, Just so happens its 90% wet days 😢
      Thanks for watching 👍

    My wife runs her own 'one person' business and knows full well the frustration and additional admin caused by last minute cancellations, not to mention the loss of earnings. She always say's that it's a small price to pay compared with the alternative of working for 'the man'. As always Ryan, great diagnosis and explanations of the in's & out's of the work.

    Take a small deposit non returnable to book in !! Least you won’t loose out. If People have paid a deposit they most likely won’t cancel

    Why don't you get the customer to pay a deposit on the job and if they cancel then they lose it so you don't lose money you're self mate as like you said its a pain mate

      @@petergrinnell2500 It's all good. That was a long time ago when I tried it. Now I've learned, from talking to successful shop owners the trick is to overbook. Most of the time you'll have a few no call no shows and at that point it's ok. Sometimes you have all no call no shows but not often and sometimes they ALL show up which is a good problem to have. We're ready for it.

      @@petergrinnell2500 On the other hand, the amount of time and money wasted by people waiting for trades to turn up only for them to cancel or not even show ? Can I get a deposit off them ?

    no idea why these people not fix a timing chain they not the most costly thing. we should be doing all we can to keep these older cars on the road. my car worth £2k or private a tad more i just spent £500 on it even tho im getting rid at some point hopefully next 6 months . it clutch but only when it warmed up it was slipping and i could baby the car made it last out as don't do lot miles. my car timing chain kit anything from £80-300 and a 4-6 hour job. no excuse not to fix timing chain on a car if you scrap a car because of it you do not deserve another car. you decided o by expensive brand so you should be ready for big bill at one stage, and prob cost about the same as if it was belt driven as chain 140 plus k miles a belt ever 60-80 k so you at least change a belt twice or three times for one chain replacement if you cared about your car. my cars always better when i change them than when i got it, people to dam lazy to maintain them right these days and many too much money they scrap good cars. mot history on my car stupid thing it failed for like tires, i take my car to local mechanic and i say to him fix if any doubt i want a clean pass no advisory it a 2011 car last 4 clean pass he gives car a good going over then takes car to mot and i collect later that day. even replaced a belt only for power and water pump i could lasted but i added it to list things to sort and it first service that got fixed to. if it not fools going to an mot for a fail it grubby filthy people who treat car as rubbish bin ive been looking for cars and 3 pages car im looking for only 3 cars what inside looks great rest stained seats they horrid state what is wrong with this country and it people, but its true people who have disgusting cars also have home just the same. nightmare to find a car what been looked after good and not tramps even on cars from 2015-16, my car people get in and said do you even use your car how a car should be kept

    Hi there.
    Recently found your channel. Thoroughly enjoying it tbh. It’s pitched at technicians rather than taking less able by the hand and leading them. Videos are quick. No 30 second intro. Just straight into the Good Stuff.
    Is that the Phoenix plus you use, or the phoenix Pro? And I’ve not seen your scope before, what’s it like? 4 channel?
    Best of luck.

    • @mrautoservices7354
      @mrautoservices7354  Před 5 měsíci

      It depends on your fault, If it has no communication your typical tests would be powers, grounds and network. Always make sure you load test both power and grounds
