- Here's an extended version of "Memoria" from Final Fantasy IX, played by me on the harp! This video is a little different from the other extended ones I've done. I've included several images of Memoria to take us on a journey throughout this ethereal, gorgeously designed dungeon. And if you were doing the Excalibur II sidequest, I imagine Memoria is the place where your misery finally ends. Or, begins, when you realize the weapon probably wasn't even worth it anyway because Freya's the best offensive character.
I SAID WHAT I SAID.
Composer: Nobuo Uematsu
Arranged & performed by: Harpsibored

P.S. - Thank you so much to my buddy @rophmusic for grabbing these high quality images for me! Friends help friends retrieve HD images of glorious fantasy architecture and eyeballs in the sky.
P.S.S. - My uploads have been slower this month due to ongoing health issues. However, I'm working on some songs that I anticipate shouldn't be problematic for my wrist, so I'm looking forward to releasing those sometime within the next few weeks. Thank you for your patience in the meantime ❤️ Incidentally, I am also thinking of putting together a fun FF video where I just talk about a specific topic. More to come on that later!

This is so deep in the enchanting zone! It's like...if we listen to this long enough, we'll wake up in another world.
I love that. Thank you ❤️
This comment has single handedly convinced me to subscribe to your channel....
Love these 1 hour extended songs, perfect for my meditations or afternoon coffee
Thank you so much, glad to hear ❤️ that's what I do em for!
My favorite music to work out to. The harp and piano renditions of FF music are all great.
This is much easier than idling my game in Memoria for long stretches of time, like I had to in the good ol' days ☺
Ah yes, the save file designated specifically for the places with the cool music. Heh. Thank you for listening ❤️
It sounds better than i remember
Thank you 🥰
ugh, I haven't played this game since I was 13. This has me itching to go back and play now more than ever!
If you are currently more than 13 years old, then I'd say you're overdue for a replay 😂
@@Harpsiboredwe’re comin’ up on 2 decades 😮
It's beautiful 🥲
We not in ocean???
Thank you 💚 I NO CAN BREATHEEEEE
Quina always ends up in my party for lines like this. Just a delight to keep around.
Finally got an opportunity to put this on while reading some things.
Freya has the more tactical and versatile skillset. But there's one thing no one can take away from Steiner: the coolest looking attack...that's bugged to always fail.
Ah yes, Doo Doo Slash
@@Harpsiboredto doo doo, or not to doo doo? There is no try.
(Mixing Shakespeare with Star Wars is very FFIX; and mixing FFIX with potty humor is very Harpsi.)
I didn't realize you had a CZcams Channel until this day, not sure why I'm surprised though good work, liked and subbed
Thanks so much! Yup, this is where I started hehe
Memoria is the most fascinating fantasy place to me, got it tattooed on my arm. This song is just so beautiful and eerie at the same time.Thank you for this amazing version of it! 🥰
OMG wow, what a cool idea!!! Which part of Memoria did you get tattooed? Lot of beautiful scenery to choose from. Thank you ❤️
@@Harpsibored I have the upside down castle which is totally random I know, but I love it so much! ☺️
Do you mean Ipsen's Castle? 😂 either way sounds cool!
No, not Ipsen's castle! There is a random castle in Memoria 😂❤ it's just a small scenery you go by and it has a twisted pathway ☺️
You found it! So cute! 🥹❤️
ff9 isn't my favorite game (really sorry.....). I like him but he's not number one in my heart. BUT ! the original soundtrack is sublime, and your version is so magical, transcendental. Thank you so much for all what you do
Haha it's ok, to each their own. Glad to hear you love the OST anyhow. Thank you ❤️
@@Harpsibored ff7 is my first rpg
I put this on just to hear for a little bit and all of a sudden I was 45 minutes in, absolutely fantastic!
Thank you so much ❤️
Smashed it, again! :D
Thank you! ❤️
Thank you for doing the extended version!
Thank you for listening ❤️
Nobuo has such a legacy, thanks for your interpretations. You perfectly nail the loop aspect of all these tracks.
Thank you so much! ❤️
Escapism in a tune! Thanks for posting a mega long version just in time for the weekend, it's gonna make the chores easier to get through
Thank you so much, I'm so happy to hear that!!! I'm all for escapism 10000000000% ❤️
Dunno how I missed that you extended Memoria. Definitely going to remember this one when I need to relax!
I blame the algorithm, hah. Thank you for listening! This is one of my favorites to chill out to ❤️
Found you on the twits and never even thought about seeing if you had a youtube. So excited. Can make a giant playlist to listen to while I play animal crossing now ❤❤
Yay, glad to see you here! Thank you so much!! ❤️
Amazing. I love Uematsu’s compositions in this game especially.
Thank you ❤️ FFIX will forever be my favorite
Awesome!
Thanks dude ❤️
Very very nice.
Thank you ❤️
Ohh nice. Tell you what, this would be perfect in my D&D campaign for like a dream sequence or something.
I am honored to be the background music! ❤️
Simply amazing! I would love more FF11 and 16 content ^^
Thank you!!! As in, more songs from FF11 and 16? (I know, dumb question, just checking lol)
@@Harpsibored Yup you got it! ( I'd double check me too lol)
Any favorite tracks in particular?

But Steiner has so much style!
He does but NO offensive attack can beat Dragon's Crest 🔥

Backstory for this masterpiece track, SPOILER ALERT ⚠️ when lifa tree and tera get distroyed by kuja, the souls of all the people and the mist is scattered , the power is so immense that it creates this place, memoria, the collective memories of the people in gaia since its inception. Each room inside the dongeon represent the manifistation of a certain big event in gaia history . If this doesnt leave you mesmerised i dont know what will . And like vivi said .. my memories will be forever there in the sky .
Further backstory details: ghost Tetra Master players hang out in Memoria, ostensibly because there's nobody left in Gaia who wants to play Tetra Master and they've got nowhere else to go
i wonder if those places really are based on gaia memories ...i only know the building with the bell are based on lindblum..after brahne destroyed it..
Seems like many of them are. The most obvious example is 12:54, Alexandria Castle right before its destruction. 21:27 is when Garnet and her mother flee Madain Sari via boat. But yeah many of the locations pictured here are mysterious. I think it's to reinforce the idea that Gaia has been around MUCH longer than the party, so we couldn't possibly recognize each area
Memoria is an amazing theme but is not as good (in terms of dungeon) as Ultimecia's Castle. it is too linear to be compared to Northern Crater unfortunately, despite the whole Four Fiends theme, but it is absolutely better than Inside Sin.
Ultimecia Castle is my favorite dungeon, not just because it's challenging but it just LOOKS insanely intimidating. That creepy room with the paintings....👀 I agree that Memoria is super linear, but it IS the most beautiful and ethereal dungeon overall IMO. It was more there to enrich the story and not so much to be a challenge
