  • Laidback and talkative, Mitch Joynt’s attitude belies the many challenges he’s faced over the past 9 years. In December 2013, he was feeding large branches into a wood-chipping machine at work when he noticed some smaller branches stuck in the chute. He used his foot to try and clear them, slipped, and was dragged into the machine. After this horrific and traumatic accident, Mitch has had a remarkable recovery journey. A talented sprinter, Mitch is now on track to become a Paralympic athlete.
