Beltane Border Morris dance Cross Tree at the Two Bridges Hotel, Dartmoor, 15th May 2024

This is an original morris dance that Beltane Border Morris choreographed which is performed with 12 dancers. With the video I was keen for the music to dominate the audio in the first half of the dance and move so that you could hear the dancers for the remainder. I hope you enjoy the dance. It's one of their most popular both from dancer and musicians and audience alike

New subscriber here, always good to see someone following a Morris side around! Saw some great Sides at Bradford on Avon last Saturday. I've uploaded one about the Bristol Green Man procession on 5 May, and written a substack about it.

Certainly a valuable effort. If you was to improve on the "catching more audio than normally possible with only a cam" topic, I'd suggest trying setting up something like an audio recorder or second (mini) cam (go pro or insta360 comes to mind) and thus being able to capture more of the overall atmosphere. And obv. being able to add cut scenes or improved audio where appropriate.
