So, Jerec was the first introduction of Miraluka in Star Wars - a race of force sensitive humanoids who saw entirely through the force. Disney could've re-introduced the species with Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen's character) in Rogue One, but no, he's just another human. Wasted opportunity.
Terrorkekx Jedi Outcast was a lot better than Jedi Knight in every aspect other than the cutscenes (obviously since it’s in-engine footage as opposed to live action) but even some of the cutscenes were pre-rendered and looked fantastic. But in general Outcast had much better lightsaber combat with three different styles, it did a better job with the force powers in gameplay and as a progression, it had a far superior story in terms of writing and character development, and it added a lot of depth to the gunplay. The game itself looks absolutely gorgeous and is perfect immersion as if you are really in the Star Wars galaxy. The choice of music is also more varied and more apt for the gameplay. The boss fights in Outcast are far more realistic and you get a lot more fights against Dark Jedi than in JK. The only possible downside is that the lightsaber and force were so powerful it made the newer guns you get later in the game redundant. I would say Jedi Knight and Jedi Outcast were probably on par in terms of level design, but I would give Jedi Knight a slight edge in that category.
The little things I liked better in JK was how the engine was better at drawing long distances and how the walking animation always matched the movement, no skating. Of course, the multiplayer netcode was a complete mess.
Awesome to see you play one of my fav games. I have an original copy on Disc that won't work so I re-bought it on Steam ....a few graphical glitches, but it works! Play a multiplayer deathmatch with max force powers enabled....Canyon Oasis map, ftw :) I'm in if you need opponents, but you may need to test compatibility if your version of the game's from a diff. place I think. Also the bat things are called 'Mailocs', not Mynocks ...you used to get nice instruction manuals (in huge carboard presentation boxes) back in the day with PC games like this - and JK had a namelist of some of the enemies you meet.
THe weird thing about this level and especially Baron's Hed and the Tower is that this is a moon in a the Sullust system that's been in rebel hands since BEFORE Endor, after all the fleet massed there. Not even like a moon on some gas giant but a moon of Sullust itself.
Lol Razor, you're the first one I've ever seen die to the Gammoreans...that wasn't me. Axe to the back hurts bad. :( I think that's also the only level they appear in until the Mysteries of the Sith expansion sadly.
I hate how people think Stormtroopers are terrible shots. They crushed the Rebel troopers on Leia's ship and the only reason they missed Luke and the others on the Death Star is because they were under orders to do so. Tarkin wanted them to escape and Leia confirms this to Han.
Don't know if you and Terren saw this in the chat, but I'll he'll have the key around release day or whenever it's sent to backer kit people. Just tell me a way to get it to you guys so I can get it their safely.
Looking for opinions here. If somehow a movie about Kyle Katarn was made right this very moment, no political BS included, who should be casted as Kyle and Jan both in their thirties (right around RotJ) and their later years (around an alternate TFA)?
I'm not gonna watch you play this, it would break my heart too much since my copy died. But I will 100% defend to the death this game as my absolute favorite Star Wars game. Hand this to the right studio today for a remake and I would spend all the money, even buy a gaming rig just for the purpose.
5 years later, but if you haven't seen the Unreal engine remake of Dark Forces II you should. Only the first couple levels so far, but it's incredibly polished.
Where is part one of this stream, and the second stream for Kingdom Come Deliverance? And I am pretty sure you did another Daggerfall stream, where are all those streams?!
KC:D was claimed for copyright. Daggerfall was as well, for a music track. And part one of the JK stream was mostly spent trying to get it up and running. Lots of crashes.
@Rageaholic can't you post it on your website or offer a download for them cause I really liked those episodes and I want to be able to watch them again.
God of War looks nothing like Skyrim to me. It looks more like Last of Us. You even have a offspring-like character following you around and commentating on everything. It doesn't even look like there's much gameplay. The combat looks sluggish and boring. There's a reason Sony isn't pushing money for a new Sly Cooper game or InFamous. Everything has to be Last of Us now. Just fighting shit with cinematic fluff and amazing graphics. I'd say Sony might as well just close their game division and make movies but.... yeah. If Sony wants to impress me with a beautiful game that's cinematic... remake Legend of Dragoon! Just remake Legend of Dragoon. I don't care about Last of Us 1.5. aka God of War (2018)! I hated God of War: Ascension because the cool alternate weapons in 3 and Ghost of Sparta were replaced with crummy disposable weapons that you wouldn't remember 5 minutes later.
TrueBlueMajikDewd Yeah you know one of the greatest company turn arounds in a decade, practically leading the market and forcing Microsoft to reconsider their entire game hardware division- should definitely sink all the companies money into pixels 2, Ghostbusters 2018: the one with guys this time, and more hot garbage amazing Spider-Man films.
Even The Last of Us was kind of a copy of another Sony exclusive called Uncharted with Arkham Asylum vision. And yeah you're right, they all wanted to be TLOU. Even the graphics look the same. But I have to disagree and say that God of War did look like Skyrim.
@ 24:35 Auto aim isn't really a Doom thing. The game's just on 2D plane and cannot differentiate between someone standing infront of you and someone standing 'above'. That's why it 'auto aims'. For the game, the whole thing is flat, the visuals are drawn to resemble 3D enviroment
Star Wars Bounty Hunter was excellent it's on the European PSN store on PS3 not sure on the US store still have my PS2 original would love to see you play it
Just so everyone knows, I just loaded up the gog version of this, and it played beautifully without any patches. I am thinking they have recently patched it. I played from beginning to about where Razor gets in this video.
32:19 they probably did hire the guy, or they at the very least played his mod. Also, isn't it a good thing that they would include an improvement from a mod into the next game, because it's something that the fans obviously want if they modded it into Jedi Knight 1? Isn't that a good thing, that they would add in stuff that people wanted to put in the first Jedi Knight game? Also, modding is all for free. If game devs get inspired by them to add stuff into another game, then that's their business. Geez, Razor, you're acting like a total sperg towards Raven Software for adding in things into the main game that modders and fans wanted to do in the previous game.
I do not see the big deal about the level design. At the end of the day, the game forces you down a specific path. In some levels the linear design makes no sense, like in a city or town. *I will concede to one thing:* games that take place in the Star Wars Universe are much more interesting. I am surprised by how much more entertainment I get out of a game just for being Star Wars.
Geeze, this level is kicking in my acrophobia! It's weird, cause I've played it, I don't remember it being this tense for me, but for whatever reason, watching Razor just makes uncomfortable.

This game meant so much to me as a teen. Love that it had dual endings. And the guy who ACTUALLY stole the Death Star plans.
And his Asian waifu.
Sorry, Phasma! Sariss was the first female live action villainess in Star Wars!
Who the hell is Phasma? That silver trooper? Dear god...

I believe that the Miraluka came from the Tale of the Jedi comics a couple of years earlier. I also think making him one was a later retcon.
You may be right. The timeline supports your argument.
This is my favorite star wars game! Felt like star wars. Still had its star wars soul. Unlike the Disney star wars
My first Miralkuka was Visas Marr.
Hopefully we'll get to see more daggerfall and Kingdom Come.
Yes, Alpha Protocol - massively under-rated game.
Good god! I bought this the day it came out. Good times.
Jedi Outcast was solid...a bit casual yes...but it was fun times.

That Bowcaster sounds means as hell...more than as in Outcast...
Funny hearing you talk about cyberpunk knowing what I know now... No wonder it was delayed so much

Im throwing in my vote for a Shadow Hunter movie
Razor, are you gonna playJedi Knight: Jedi Outcast at some point?
Hopefully this one doesn't get taken down.
The last kingdom come stream was taken down immediately. Was it copyright claimed by the developers or youtube fuckery?
He said it was a copyright claim from someone but I don't know who from.

#IG-88FORLYFE. This has to be my favorite PC game of all time
I could get through Last Jedi, again. I've never actually finished SAO outside of the SWE parody.
holy fucking shit, this is the first vidya game i played!!!
First game I ever played online via MSN gaming zone

I do not see the big deal about the level design. At the end of the day, the game forces you down a specific path. How the FUCK does he deflect lasers without any training??
Metroid Prime, the first one was decent but that second one was bad.
Michael Buehler yes. Metroid prime 1 was a masterpiece. I couldn’t get enough. The rest of it was mediocre to plain bad.
I personally disagree. I thought Metroid Prime 1 was an absolute masterpiece, with 2 being a close second, and 3 being a semi-distant third. The one criticism directed at the Prime games that i can definitely agree with is the controls of, at least, the first two games on the Gamecube were awful. The Wii trilogy re-release took advantage of the Wii motion controls and overall had much better controls, but still weren't great.
