I really wanted this movie to be good. Ultimately it was just okay. Joey King is an okay actress, but I felt like this particular role was not well suited to her- she came across as rather annoying most of the time. I really wanted less attention on her and more on the characters who were actually suffering from the effects of radiation.
This is absurd. I just read the book Radium Girls and this movie trailer is just awful. It, and it appears the film, bears so little resemblance to the story - it’s horribly exploitative.
Their job instructed them to in order to get the tip of the brush to a fine point. They were told that not only was it safe, it was healthy for them to do so.
Decades later finally their story is being told, RIP to those young women 😢

I think the sisters are a composite of the different real life Radium Girls from the three different Radium Dial Painting companies.
