As a European I’ve always wondered what goodwill is I’ve heard it been referenced a few times in my life is it a thrift store or what we call charity shops when the purchases go directly to the charity it’s representing or is it just for recycling and the purchase of second hand products
Goodwill is a chain of stores that are non-profit. They accept donations and resell items at low prices and put profits towards charity and community improvements.
Its charitable but many would disagree because its such a huge company that often over prices their donated goods. They have a GED program for those that didn't graduate high school and need that for future careers. The programs are a blessing.
@@amberfaulk4975 Some store legitimately do not get a choice when it comes to prices for the sake of a Yearly Sales goal. So much so that there are blatant violations of procedure to achieve them. The Area I used to work initially couldn't sell Jewelry in bags onto the sales floor, or Exercising Equipment. Only recently did they do so for reasons I only surmise relate to the $1.25 million sales goal our store had.
Goodwill is a chain of thrift stores that accepts used items from clothes, furniture, kitchen appliances, home decor, almost anything you can think of that isn't food, and sells them in a retail-like setting. I can't speak for Goodwill specifically but there are several other chains which operate the same way, and are owned and operated by various charities, which the profits go to (or at least they claim to).

You can get cute little wand things that help you fasten your bracelets, but I just use a bent paperclip! 🥰

A friend showed me the paperclip method of fastening lobster claw type bracelets: Open the paperclip up lengthwise (so it looks like a large S), hook one end of the paperclip through the fastening opening, and grip the other end of the paperclip with the fingers of the hand you are putting the bracelet on. (The open paperclip is now lying lengthwise along the inside of the wrist of the hand you are putting the bracelet on.) This holds the bracelet and its opening in place so you can hook the lobster claw fastener into the bracelet opening. There's probably a video that explains this way better, but hopefully I communicated the general idea. Barrel fasteners on bracelets, however, are straight from Satan.

I learned during the pandemic when my kids were doing remote school that I'm definitely NOT cut out to be a teacher. Lol
She does not give the impression as a teacher. Lol she’s a badass, she has the intellectual smarts to be more than an elementary teacher.

From what Mary has mentioned in the past it's not in all stores, but she has said the ones in her area do. I remember her mentioning multiple times in older videos that her area has fantastic Goodwill stores and it's so true, all this relaxing content from Goodwill 😄🤩
