I have been baking bread in the bread maker for about 5 years. I just use "instant mix" and water... it only takes 2 minutes of time per loaf and is about half the price of store + saves time going to the store + much fresher + less preservatives... an added bonus is the machine makes great pizza do...
its 1,49 euro for 1 kg and you need to add 660 ml of water for a bread of about 1,5 kg (I make 3 of 500g)... so about 50 cents per loaf + about 5-10 cents in electricity
I've been making homemade bread to save money for a few years though I prefer not to use a bread machine so I can feel how much flour to add as needed. For my situation I'm buying yeast and flour in bulk which saves a ton. I store the yeast in an air tight container in the fridge which has lasted up to a year or more. I store the flour in food safe buckets with large freezer ziploc bags. You can add oxygen absorbers for added storage life. I usually make more than needed and then freeze some bread for busy days.
$4 for a loaf of bread? Wow that is very expensive. In the UK you can buy fresh store bread for around $1.30. If you go at the end of the day before the store closes you can buy the same loaf for around $0.20. With that said I have eaten fresh homemade bread and it is on another level to store bread.
CraveThatCoin I don't buy it but breads around here is 1.99$ for white bread, brands like power seed, wheat, ECT are around the 4$ range. See with buns and flat bread
BeatTheBush UK breads typically don't have preservatives. The only ones that do are the very cheap brands and they are labelled "long life bread". A lot of UK supermarkets have bakeries in store that make fresh bread every morning, and because there's no travel time there is no need for preservatives - if they can't sell the bread in time they sell a loaf for very cheap, as the other commenter says. That said you've convinced me to get a bread maker, because I only want to go to the shop once per week and after that the bread is stale (because there are no preservatives). So this will mean I can have fresh bread halfway through the week
Yeah that's right, we got it pretty good when it comes to bread. But we have it very bad when it comes to car insurance and gas compared with you guys over the pond
I literally go through, minimum, for slices of bread a day. And each loaf costs me about $3.49. This is going to save me so much money. I'm going to buy the machine right now.
I make my own summer and winter blend windshield wiper fluid....Summer blend: 1/4 cup vinegar, one tablespoon of Dawn dish-liquid...blue, and one gallon water. Winter blend...same but add 1/2 cup isopropyl alcohol.
That looks very delicious and I did not know it was this easy to make bread! When my father tried to make it when I was little our machine only baked the bread and I remember we had to let the bread sit outside so that the yeast will do it’s magic and make the dough grow before baking. Somewhere in that process it made the bread hard when baked. But I will be looking into one of these bread machines you suggested. The process you showed to make your own dough looked so simple!
Have a friend take you to sams club and get an $8 25 pound of flour. You are paying too much. Also, the pouches are super expensive. Get the large bulk yeast there also, keep in the fridge. I have had mine for over 5 years... it’s still excellent. Keeping in the fridge keeps it forever. =) love your work.
Tip: Store fresh bread in the freezer. Take it out some 10-20 minutes to thaw before consumption (depends on how thick it is). It will be just as fresh.
Why not shop for ingredients at a restaurant supply? You are paying too much for your ingredients. And buy the bread machine at a second hand store - most are new (Gifts that no one wants to fool with. Same people who never bother to learn to cook) and cost $20 or less... we got 2 of 'em for $20 by bargaining - one is in the attic as a backup the other has been working for about 7 years now... And why on earth would you make common white bread? The main reason for having a machine is to make the expensive and FAR more nutritious artisan breads for about a buck a loaf! We never use white flour...
A restaurant supply bakers package of yeast keeps in the refrigerator and works fine for 2 years so far. We've just about used it all up again. 32oz. (2lbs) is $8 to $10. We only make 2 loaves a week, sometimes skip a week - so still close to 100 loaves a year? (But there are two of us and sometimes a friend, not just one person) They are mostly recipes from "The Bread Machine Cookbooks #1 & 2", "More Recipes for Your Bread Machine Bakery", "More Bread Machine Bounty", "Crust & Crumb" or "Bread Machine Baking - and may contain raisins, dried fruit, nuts, and seeds or vegetables like zucchini, carrots, onions, etc. Depends on the recipe, what's in the garden or on the vine, the fruit trees and our mood at the time. Whole organic unbleached "Bob's Red Mill" brand flours in 25 lb bags. Used up quickly... Also some organic corn meal, oats & rye...
Great video just bought a bread maker a few weeks ago loving it. I use it weekly might not save a great deal but it makes great bread and I know what's in it. You can buy cheap bread yeh but it's full of preservatives etc with a machine you can also make all different kinds of bread and cakes very easily. Thanks for sharing.
I have a bread machine. I think it’s still in the box. Never used it. HOWEVER, I started being a Prepper last year and, of course, prices are going crazy. So, I bought the 25 lb bag of red wheat berries and the 25 lb of white wheat berries from LDS. The wheat berries will last way longer than flower. Hopefully, no bug bloom.
I make bread to save money!! I do it by hand and use the oven. Oven only on for 30 min. I bake two loaves at the same time, or a cake. I only use 1teaspoon of sugar in my bread though, and that is only to help the yeast along. Your loaf looks a lot smaller than mine, and mine is the traditional shape, so I'm afraid you haven't convinced me to buy a bread maker, I don't need it!! LOL. Love your videos
Hmm yummy!!! 🤤 I only buy 1 or 2 loaves of bread a YEAR though. Am I the only one who doesn’t have bread at home? 😂 Might be a good idea for my parents for Christmas though! Also, if you have a Dollar Tree near you, they sell bread for only $1 per loaf (because it’s close to sell by date).
Nice video! If you like white bread you might want to look into "no-knead" bread recipes. Plenty of tutorials here on youtube and they're just as easy as the using the machine. There are fewer ingredients- just flour, yeast, water, and salt so it's even cheaper. The 100% whole wheat no knead recipes produce dense loaves so I still use the traditional recipe and knead it by hand.
In Aldi bread cost 89 cents, it is good no complains plus no need to purchase another kitchen machine, so I think I pass beathebush but thanks for the video
You can't just say it costs $4 for bread at the grocery store and $1.whatever to make it at home. You need to weigh both breads, calculate calories, and figure out how you actually replace supermarket bread in your lifestyle with homemade bread to determine what the savings.
Most people I know who bought bread machines used it a couple of times and then life got busy, so they never reached a break even point. It's also difficult to beat the price of bread from larger baking companies due to their economies of scale. If I used a breadmaker, it would just be for the fun of creating something healthier or more creative than what you can find in stores.
Great suggestion on making bread! I love bread! However, I don't think I'm saving money by doing it (I can usually get a loaf at the store for $2.50 tops). But it's fun and you have a satisfaction of making it yourself! Also, no machine for me, I prefer to do it by hand. My loaves look more like loaves that way.
I was wanting to do make my own bread - and since I'm avoiding carbs I think its a fair trade if I grew the wheat myself. As you said attaining more skills that make you self-sufficient is good. I want to have a food forrest and garden that I can eat all my veggies from, and I've see how you can grow a strip of wheat and harvest it, mill it, and make your flour products. It does sound like it takes time, but not if you only grow enough for what you need. I would have the flour pruducts (breads) as a treat during the holidays after the harvest and through the winter. Then as spring comes I would only have greens again, because I'm trying to have a lower carb diet anyway.
This video inspired me to go to my local thrift shop to buy a bread maker. I found one for $9.99(I was able to buy it for $6.49, I get a discount) for a brand new looking Williams Sonoma bread maker. I prefer to buy Organic flour, which I pick up at Costco. Beat the Bush tip FTW!
best is to buy nutrient dense foods, avoid carbs, and eat less often...one meal a day is the healthiest, so you can allow your body to fast. saves money and you live longer and healthier as a result
i bought a bag of beans and soaked them in water. the beans grew 3 to 4 times. i won a couple free bread from Safeway monopoly. if there is a food shortage you can sell bread. the bread looks good. i never knew they made those machines
Dutch bread has no preservatives like in the usa. Its also very cheap here like the rest of the food. Last year or so we were announced as the best country for healthy food availabilty combined with price.
Wow thank you for sharing this, I did not know this was possible. This is why I love this channel always learning something new and I love saving money!
yeah but not as fancy as yours lol it doesnt say all the fancy breads just have three menus and such but i did grab it for $9.89 out the door (this specific thrift shop does not charge tax since im assuming its one of the few non profit ones here in town) but i do have a question are these good atmaking the pizza dough you shared in your other video? i have no mixer at all let alone with a bread hook (ones i find in thrift shops are too high and bare bones)
I thought the title of the video was an attempt to sound ghetto in saying “making bread” rather than “making money” but no you’re legit teaching us how to make bread lollll.
BeatTheBush but serious question though. What would be the nutritional value of this bread? Because i have seen bread that are very cheap (like $1.5 or even $1.00) but the nutritional value is very low, whereas the actual healthy breads are around the $5 range.
Long time bread baker here. Might I recommend investing in a kitchen scale? Then you can weigh all your ingredients and not get all your measuring implements dirty. Nice capture of the slow-mo rise.
Oh.. I have one of those. I guess you mean add to the main pot and just re-tare? For demonstration, I think it works better if I pre-measure and just put in though.
Wow! A Korean Goldstar bread maker. Goldstar was renamed as LG Electronics after it merged with Lucky Chemicals way back in 1995. Where did you find this bread maker?
is that organic flour? flour is usually around 1$ for 5 lbs cheap 2$ average and also sometimes 99 only sells on the day expired bread 4 loafs for a dollar, you can usually freeze them. Then again it's probably best if it's homemade.
My favourite thing about making bread is that you can customize it and experiment. You can add dried fruit, or I like adding oats and maple syrup to make a hardy and sweet loaf.
However, if you have to buy an ingredient that comes in a larger size than you will use, and the rest will not be used later, you must calculate the cost as the price of the whole package. For example, I bought flour to make cookies. I had to buy 5 lbs, because that was the only size it came in.I don't remember how much it cost, but for the sake of discussion we can say $3.00. I only needed a small amount for the recipe. Again I can't remember the exact amount, but let's say it amounted to 1/2 pound. So. I have bought 10 times the amount of flour that I needed, because I had no choice. If I would use the flour later, especially if I would ultimately use all of it, it would make sense to calculate the cost as 30 cents, but in reality I never used any more of the flour, so it cost $3.00. If I ultimately used half of it, than the share for this recipe would have been 60 cents, because the wasted half should be amortized pro rata for each use. I guess I am saying to watch the available sizes for purchase and consider what the actual price will be when considering the cost of the wasted amount. Keep in mind how long until the ingredient expires and how frequently you usually use it. When you are broke, you have to consider these things in great detail.
I only pay about a dollar or so for a loaf of bread. I never have used a bread machine, I just do it with a stand mixer and bake it in the oven, actually the only thing I've made is burger buns , donuts, and pizza,
Cool video, the bread looks super fluffy, but i just buy organic breads at a place callss bakery outlet. They sell bread that expires in 1 or 2 days, so we just freeze the bread to make it last longer. It's about $1.50 for 1 organic loaf.
Ohh... almost expiring. I've had those before and they certainly taste even less fresh than store bought not expiring. Can you tell the difference? I suppose you can still eat it.
oh I wondered if those cheaper bread machines worked. Now I know! You see them at yard sales all the time. I guess people just don't use them. We paid about $300 for our bread machine because my husband likes to buy expensive things lol! We don't even use it anymore as we're into sourdough bread (fermented foods etc.) Switch to the pink Himalayan salt and don't be afraid to use the full amount. It's very good for you.
Wait... I disagree about the Himalayan salt. The amounts of trace elements in there are minimal. Salt is still salt and will still give you high blood pressure and still should limit it.
@@BeatTheBush I wondered if someone had actually tested that. I have naturally low blood pressure so I"m lucky I guess. Salt can be very healing, just depends on the person.
The cheapest French and Italian loafs at walmart are $1. But of course the percentage of wheat in these breads is probably only 30% and I am being optimistic. The rest is mostly GMO soy flour and chemicals.
Great video, you should do more of these. I love the detailed calculations on cost. I wonder if making homemade pizza or even home made ice cream is cost effective? Good work.
damn bush u have a fancy knife... and a fancy bread. i made sour dough last weekend if you want the receipe. it's just flour and water, and it takes minimal effort.
I bake my bread in the oven. Personal choice, I’m just trying to have less stuff in the kitchen. The downfall : It’s probably using more electricity that why I only bake bread after using the oven for something else (the oven already hot)
Nothing like the aroma of bread baking and the taste of warm bread with butter. Actually don't even need a bread machine. See videos on CZcams for no knead bread.
Good vid, the instructions from my bread machine specifies not to put the yeast and salt together so I put them on opposite sides of the pan. Although it looks like your bread turned out pretty good anyhow
25 pounds of flour is like $8 at Sam's. I think you can get it for $9 at some grocery stores too. You can also get a big cube of oil there for like $20. Lasts for years. Also, I got my breadmaker used off of Craigslist for $15. Made a few loaves and a couple of cakes with it. Really need to start using it more often.
I have to eat gluten free bread so i actually save a lot of money by making my bread myself. Gluten free bread is really expensive in finland. I also make my bread from oats so it is really healthy.
BeatTheBush That is one way of doing it. I have different recipes. Simplest one is that i mix water and large oat flakes, make kind of like large pancake out of that and just cook it in the oven. Thats it! Really healthy, easy, cheap and good tasting.
Have you tried adding all the wet ingredients, then the dry, and yeast last? That's the way my mother does it and she doesn't get stuff stuck to the sides. Maybe there's a difference in the machines too, hers never comes out that cleanly
If you don't eat it at all, you'll save even more money. And while you're at it, grow all your own vegetables and raise your own chickens to get fresh eggs from them. Martha Stewart has chickens to get her own fresh eggs from them
Remember that store bread has a lot of added nutrients as well >_> You should buy the fortified ingredients XD Wow, haven't seen a bread machine is like...2 decades lol
Bro, what really save money on making own bread is buying no machine. Just make the dough by hands. Very easy task as you keep doing more daily. You can make pizza dough same way too. Then just use the oven that you already have in the house. Recently I watched this video from Pailin's kitchen " czcams.com/video/t87uDb_SGkE/video.html This beautiful lady, Pai, shows how to make a pizza dough and pay attention how to cook it fast. She uses the broiler feature from the oven. Amazing recipe. I do like your mindset about saving mindset but I personally like handmade dough for bread or pizza. Take care!
This particular video only has the normal bread. What I do is just replace flour with almond flour. Reduced salt some more. Reduced oil. Replace flour with flax seed and/or ground flax seeds.
when i saw that 4.00 bread i was like where you buying that! but i have places i can get bread for a buck a loaf but this may be a better option for me to have healthier bread when buying a bread maker have any pointers?? they are very common in my thrift stores do i can normally get a complete working one under 20 bucks
yeah and its in most bread for me even the 4 dollar loaves are ladeled with stuff and i dont like the taste so would any bread maker work for this? i havent had fresh bread like this ssince i was a child lol
I have been baking bread in the bread maker for about 5 years. I just use "instant mix" and water... it only takes 2 minutes of time per loaf and is about half the price of store + saves time going to the store + much fresher + less preservatives... an added bonus is the machine makes great pizza do...
=D Yup. I suppose if your instant mix is low cost enough to save you money already.
its 1,49 euro for 1 kg and you need to add 660 ml of water for a bread of about 1,5 kg (I make 3 of 500g)... so about 50 cents per loaf + about 5-10 cents in electricity
Checkedholidays Sweet
Pretty good ROI if you are a bread lover like me!
=D Exactly. Gotta have it sparingly though as I think bread raises your blood sugar level as easily as sugar itself.
BeatTheBush ha ha exactly, is it weird when I watch you eating things I think about your “foods that kill you” video?
The ROI is in your taste buds thanking you a thousand fold!!!!!!

Use wheat flour to minimize blood sugar spike. Also buy a whole jar of yeast to save.

These are your more interesting videos than random stock market calls. Also like the Goldstar machine. Throwback to the 90s when they made computers

With space at a premium, a multi purpose KitchenAid mixer does the hard stuff. A fun add in to plain white flour is blended rolled oats.

It's nice you're cooking something and cutting down on salt. Good for you for taking care of your health.
I realize now, you can cut down the salt even more from 1/4 to maybe 1/8 tspn.
Why not shop for ingredients at a restaurant supply? You are paying too much for your ingredients.

Brian Marshall Damn Brian, your bread 🍞 sounds soooooo yummy 🤤. I want to sample some 😬.

Kuro Kohi but is the money worth the time you waste 🤔

Making bread provides some utility as well, in the form of ‘fun’ ! Love the channel.
It is fun to stare into the bread machine and the aroma is awesome. Walking into the same room, its like, what's that?!?! Omg, it smells awesome!

Oh... yeah, not worth it if you do not always eat sandwiches. But then be careful of $1 loafs. Too much preservatives.
I never eat bread except bagels haha
did you know "bread" is a slang term for money? if you did, then the title is genius.
Lol =D
Nice video! If you like white bread you might want to look into "no-knead" bread recipes. Plenty of tutorials here on youtube and they're just as easy as the using the machine. There are fewer ingredients- just flour, yeast, water, and salt so it's even cheaper. Just to not eat as much preservatives in itself is a selling point.
Do you use a crockpot? Those things are sweet, and would flow nicely on the topic of saving money by cooking your own food.
Yes but not often enough. I make a lot of things that does not require long cook times.
Better to use instant pot! A few minutes vs hours and hours of burning energy!
here in greece we buy a loaf for 80 cents(euro).a half kilo bread . and believe me , it's delicious
Thanks you just gave me late night bread craving...
Bread is good but then better to have the fiber to slow down the sugar absorption.

I agree! You should only have bread sparingly. I do not make bread weekly but some get it as a staple
4 DOLLARS??? The Krogers and Walmarts around me have 1 dollar loafs made fresh instore
yeah and if you knew what went in those loafs of bread you would gag, especially the wheat bread. They basically sweep the floor.....
He is talking about a higher quality bread.
Maybe he lives in San Francisco
@@grannygoes7882 that's ridiculous

Here in the UK you can buy a loaf a bread for 40p
Some of the more mainstream companies cost £1 £1.50
Preservatives?
Long time bread baker here. Might I recommend investing in a kitchen scale? Then you can weigh all your ingredients and not get all your measuring implements dirty. Nice capture of the slow-mo rise.
Oh.. I have one of those. I guess you mean add to the main pot and just re-tare? For demonstration, I think it works better if I pre-measure and just put in though.
When i see your title, I'm wishing to read "Save Money by making Money" 😂
Lol
I like that you measured the electricity used in this
=D
Yum...fresh baked bread...spread with butter that starts to melt because the bread's still warm....
I love this guy bunch of useful knowledge
=D
WHO ? Me too, he's great
You don't even have to walk out the door to get bread.
Not trying to sound stupid but can you make bread in a rice maker and if so may I have your recipe?
My favourite thing about making bread is that you can customize it and experiment. You can add dried fruit, or I like adding oats and maple syrup to make a hardy and sweet loaf.
Hmmmm... I do enjoy a sweet loaf as well. =D
Sounds so good!
Make sourdough bread, no cost for yeast, oil or sugar, replace those cost with nuts and other grains, you pay $1.50 for an $8 loaf of high-end bread.
Sewing is your next project!
I see A LOT of them at the thrift store. They're like $5 there.
You can make cheaper bread than that. Look at Frugal Aussie youtube channel. No knead bread. No oil, no butter, no sugar. So much cheaper.
Good work.
Hi bread maker. Cool tip to save more & eat fresh
Apparently baking dough can save you dough. Thanks BTB!
Used in the right way. You have to know you will use the machine enough to replace enough of bread you buy at the store.
Home make bread is great and very comforting. Reduce yeast so your bread won’t sunken on the top. I learned it from other CZcamsr
Nice! Thanks for the tip!
damn bush u have a fancy knife... and a fancy bread. i made sour dough last weekend if you want the receipe. it's just flour and water, and it takes minimal effort.
I've used this same knife for many years. Originally costs me $200 for the whole set of 7.
I bake my bread in the oven. Personal choice, I’m just trying to have less stuff in the kitchen. The downfall : It’s probably using more electricity that why I only bake bread after using the oven for something else (the oven already hot)
It still works right? Just that you might have to knead it by head. If you eat bread all the time, the bread maker is about saving time.
BeatTheBush works very well. Your right about time saving, plus a bread machine probably keeps the kitchen cooler during the summer. 🤔
Clicking Like even before watching the video, lol. I've been making homemade bread for more than 10years using a bread maker.
Nice!
8:04 lol most ppl don’t eat the end of the bread . I use to take them since they throw it in the trash
Nothing like the aroma of bread baking and the taste of warm bread with butter. Actually don't even need a bread machine. See videos on CZcams for no knead bread.
=D That could do it too but I never tried. I'll have to look that up if my bread machine ever breaks.
I’d rather the bread be in my bank account lol
Cool.
But wouldn't that get moldy. 😂
Hugo Lizardi you mean the dough 😏
Mary Pauline Palacio that might save a little more room but it might mold over more
I think he meant safe deposit box then.
Investing in things like bread makers, ice cream, ECT. Can definitely help people save if they are proon to use a lot
Exactly. You must use it a lot. If you don't, you'll loose money instead.
Good vid, the instructions from my bread machine specifies not to put the yeast and salt together so I put them on opposite sides of the pan. Although it looks like your bread turned out pretty good anyhow
Or rather not to put the yeast in the liquid. I think to try to not kill the yeast mainly.
BeatTheBush you can also make pizza dough with your bread machine and have home made pizza out of the oven
Nice i didnt know about this
25 pounds of flour is like $8 at Sam's. I think you can get it for $9 at some grocery stores too. You can also get a big cube of oil there for like $20. Lasts for years.
Also, I got my breadmaker used off of Craigslist for $15. Made a few loaves and a couple of cakes with it. Really need to start using it more often.
Nice and nice! You have lots of flour to use to make bread too if you buy 25lbs at a time.
I didn't know bread machines exist
=D
Heavy sandwich it is Nice machine never seen one before
=D Glad to show something new. =D
I have to eat gluten free bread so i actually save a lot of money by making my bread myself. Gluten free bread is really expensive in finland. I also make my bread from oats so it is really healthy.
Nice! I didn't even know you can make that. How? The flour is replaced with oat flour?
BeatTheBush That is one way of doing it. I have different recipes. Simplest one is that i mix water and large oat flakes, make kind of like large pancake out of that and just cook it in the oven. Thats it! Really healthy, easy, cheap and good tasting.
oh $ 4 loath of bread ? last time i checked I was paying about $2.38 from Target. The brand i use is nature own mulitple grains.
Try to fine ones without preservatives and you wont be able to.
Have you tried adding all the wet ingredients, then the dry, and yeast last? That's the way my mother does it and she doesn't get stuff stuck to the sides. Maybe there's a difference in the machines too, hers never comes out that cleanly
Nice trick! I should try that. =D Yeah, this lining is super non-stick. Plops right out.
The lining usually does okay, the problem is the mixer piece, which often needs to be cut out
If you don't eat it at all, you'll save even more money. And while you're at it, grow all your own vegetables and raise your own chickens to get fresh eggs from them. Martha Stewart has chickens to get her own fresh eggs from them
Sure but you'll have to eat other things to replace it.
Mmmm that bread looks bomb!
=D
Literally £0.7 (c.$1) for a store bought loaf in the UK
Good content 👍
I usually eat rice, oatmeal, and bagels, wish there was bagel machine 😂
I guess there isn't.
Remember that store bread has a lot of added nutrients as well >_>
You should buy the fortified ingredients XD
Wow, haven't seen a bread machine is like...2 decades lol
Hum... that's true. But if they fortified it, they also put in a lot of preservatives too.
Excellent.
=D
Please consider doing a video on buying equities on margin
There are always people selling hardly used bread makers on craigslist or local thrift stores.
People think they want fresh bread but realize later it's too hard to get it right.
@@BeatTheBush Not too hard to get it right in a machine, just hard to break habits.
That's so cool! O.=.O I want one now. >.=.> Lol your plushies are probably so full from eating so much bread. Ty for sharing! 😘🌹👍
You're welcome!
Bro, what really save money on making own bread is buying no machine. Just make the dough by hands. Very easy task as you keep doing more daily. You can make pizza dough same way too. Then just use the oven that you already have in the house.
Recently I watched this video from Pailin's kitchen " czcams.com/video/t87uDb_SGkE/video.html
This beautiful lady, Pai, shows how to make a pizza dough and pay attention how to cook it fast. She uses the broiler feature from the oven. Amazing recipe.
I do like your mindset about saving mindset but I personally like handmade dough for bread or pizza. Take care!
Ahhh very good. I do enjoy the machine I never bought though. Toss in ingredients, walk away 3-4 hours. Boom, done.
How have you modified this recipe to include almond flour?
This particular video only has the normal bread. What I do is just replace flour with almond flour. Reduced salt some more. Reduced oil. Replace flour with flax seed and/or ground flax seeds.
$4 a load, damn. In New Zealand we have preservative free bread starting at $1 a loaf. Like a full sized loaf.
Interesting. I think I skipped shopping at the groceries last time I was there. Is it a preservatives free loaf?
I'm pretty sure it is. I read the ingredients sometime ago. It goes mouldy in only a few days.
why does the 9th slice get all crumbled and squashed?
It was the top lol. If I cut it lengthwise it might have done better.
when i saw that 4.00 bread i was like where you buying that! but i have places i can get bread for a buck a loaf but this may be a better option for me to have healthier bread when buying a bread maker have any pointers?? they are very common in my thrift stores do i can normally get a complete working one under 20 bucks
I guess I was pointing to premium bread and not the $1 kinds loaded with who knows what I cannot pronounce.
yeah and its in most bread for me even the 4 dollar loaves are ladeled with stuff and i dont like the taste so would any bread maker work for this? i havent had fresh bread like this ssince i was a child lol
Gold star like regal you can't buy. Got my Regal at Goodwill for $10!!!
I saw one at Goodwill for $10 also. So yeah, don't buy them if you are ok with using a used bread maker.
