6:26 is oddly one of the creepier ones, not in a normal way but it feels nostalgic but unsettling. It's hard to describe it but it's both calm and creepy..
honestly this one is calming, not as calming as the HGSS version but feels nice, like a curse was lifted which would be perfect cuz of what Red did to put them to rest
@@somethingwithbungalows i got the same vibes as well, instead of a gloomy lonely place, its a happy creepy place filled with dead puppet-like people...
Lavender Town isn’t a place for fighting, it’s a place to mourn the dead. It would be in poor taste to have a gym, especially a ghost type gym, located there.
The last one actually feels like a modern version, regarding to technology. It's the same as in red and blue; but with the actual sound of music instruments without converting them into a 8bit MIDI.
I really like the beta theme because you can tell what they were trying to do from a game design standpoint. They put a bunch of song snippets together that were considered as the town theme to play for a short amount of time to see what worked for the town and what didn't. Thats why the theme changes so much throughout it. I also really love when you can tell that they were trying to emulate the sounds of instruments. The rising pitch at the beginning might have been meant to be a rising violin, and the crash in the second section could have been meant to sound like someone slamming a piano, but they realized that the sounds just didn't work with the Gameboy's limitations and ditched them, which is understandable, but I still hope someone tries to recreate what the beta lavender town themes would sound like in a modern remake of the games, especially the first parts so we can hear the theme with the violin and piano slam that was intended.
The 3th and the 5th version are supposed to sound calm and soft, as three years have passed, the Lavender Tower is no more and the spirits no longer rest on a haunted and cursed place.
The Let's Go versions reminds me of all of the kids who grew up with the originals and hearing the song. We're all standing in a mess of rubble and damaged buildings as the song plays, reflecting on the years of our childhood. Even though nothing is left, we still have the memories.
Or even a G-Max Garbodor with THE POKEMON TOWER, STUCK BANETTES AND OTHER GRAVEYARD CRAP REPLACING THE DETAILED GARBAGE AND SURROUNDED BY GHOSTS OF POKÉMON! (As in the rubble part)
Based on the very first version of the music of the lavender town, it is not surprising that a creepypasta about child suicides appeared. Everything buzzes, whistles, growls. Feeling as if death is knocking at your door to accompany you to the very depths of the underworld, where you will hang around forever in complete cold with a headache, alone with the most terrifying nightmares.

The creepy notes are slightly there because the graves were relocated but the graveyard was replaced with a radio tower in the setting of the johto games so it kinds of makes sense that it's kind of calming now
The lets go pikachu/eevee version sounds almost personal in a way. Someone’s pouring their heart out to mourn for all of the deceased pokemon in pokemon tower in such a beautiful way. You can imagine all of the pokemon’s souls ascending to heaven, shrouded in golden light as everlasting peace washes over them. But you can also imagine the countless people, heartbroken and on their knees crying because of the loss of their beloved pokemon. That was unexpectedly deep. I’m going to go cry now :D

@@aninstrument2803 Lavender Town syndrome, classic pokemon creepypasta. @@felix8755 The creepy pasta is fanmade but the soundtrack is actually real and can be found in the japanese "green"/"red" version. Game freak changed the soundtrack for the west, cause it was to creepy.
HGSS sounds... calm. And peaceful. Like you're resting on a wooden porch on your hillside home, drinking beer in your rocking chair, watching the sunset as you take in the scenery. You know that it's over soon, but you're ok with that. Nothing could feel as good as life does right now.
0:00 This song is like the definition of if the build up to a jumpscare and then the jumpscare. It’s horrifying, unsettling, and is constantly surprising me with how horrifying it is. I love it.
"We need another pokemon type" "Ghosts" "Ghosts?" "Yeah. Capture and enslave the spirits of people's dead pets in a graveyard. Steal the gifts left by their owners. That kind of stuff." "Genius."
You know what, that makes a little bit of sense though, if ghost types ARE just dead Pokemon, then why not not just either capture your own Pokemon, that way you have them forever(until you die and become a Pokemon but idk how that works) or, give those Pokemon who died and there trainers kind of abandoned them, and give them a new trainers home

Sounds beautiful in those
For clarification, the pokemon red and green beta music isn't actually real. It was just created based on the creepypasta. Makes sense when you remember what the creepypasta is about, which explains the extremely high frequencies and overall weirdness.
I'm too lazy to take 10 seconds to search on Google even though I'm using more than 10 seconds to type this comment, can you explain what the creepypasta is about?
@@aninstrument2803 Lavender Town syndrome, classic pokemon creepypasta. Story goes that the lavender town song was changed in the US because the "original" (aka this "beta" one) was much creepier and had frequencies that only children could hear and would go on to cause "Lavender Town Syndrome" which resulted on kids supposedly committing suicune.

HGSS sounds... calm. And peaceful. Like you're resting on a wooden porch on your hillside home, drinking beer in your rocking chair, watching the sunset as you take in the scenery. You know that it's over soon, but you're ok with that. Nothing could feel as good as life does right now.
I love how they tried to make it less creepy in the aftergame of Silver and than went full on creepy at Fire Red
0:00 This song is like the definition of if the build up to a jumpscare and then the jumpscare. It’s horrifying, unsettling, and is constantly surprising me with how horrifying it is. I love it.
HONESTLY! I’ve never heard this version of lavender town. It sends chills up and down my spine when I hear it suddenly change.

Wait okay the first one is lowkey really good because it's just so random with everything that happens. If everything was just a little less loud and almost jumpscare-like I think that would be the perfect theme for Lavender Town.
It's interesting how gold and silver added extra notes to the melody, whilst the later versions more closely resemble the original.
I am currently listening this with my sleep paralysis

Music in general is like a horror game. You expect a cheap jumpscare, and promise not to get scared, but then it happens. You still get acared. Your a younger child, and have nightmares when you go to sleep after playing.
